Repair person Dave came on time, found the problem quickly and let me know right away what the problem was and how much the repair would cost. He checked the system and all units to make sure there was nothing else wrong, and gave me several helpful tips for surviving the Phoenix summer efficiently with the systems we have. I also signed up for AAA maintenance agreement on both units. Dave was a pleasure, extremely helpful, and the repair was a great deal less than I had thought.

I obtained 3 quotes for the new system. I decided to go with AAA Cooling Specialists to replace the downstairs AC split system on my rental property. At the time of installation, the upstairs unit was also going to be serviced (preventative maintenance). Installation went smoothly. My tenants didn't have any complaints. I inspected the work. They cleaned up after themselves very well. However, when I asked for the check list / datasheet for the PM on the upstairs system, one was not provided. In the past, other companies have always provided a datasheet check list when PM was performed. I made several calls to AAA Cooling Specialists trying to get the information. Technicians finally had to be sent back out to the property for a second time to gather the data. Finally on 3-14-11 I was sent the data, almost two weeks after the service was performed. I was told over the phone, one reason it took so long was that AAA Cooling Specialists deploys their techs from their house to the job site....I just spent 4k at AAA Cooling, IMO, get those techs to make 1 special trip into the office. Also, I had to keep reminding them about getting me the APS rebates forms. I finally received those by mail on 3/16/11. Everytime I spoke with AAA Cooling Specialists they were always professional and courteous.

It went very well. The technician, Dean, called when he was on his way to my house, and came early within the time constraints given to me when I scheduled the appointment. Dean was extremely professional and careful about covering his shoes while in the house. He did not push my having any repairs done, but gave me an estimate and showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and explained the default with each. I am an Arizona native and have honestly never had a failure of this type on any unit I have ever owned, so I was shocked at first. I spoke with a neighbor who explained how these parts can fail and their projected life expectancy. Dean continued to work while I did this and when I told him to go ahead with replacement of the failed parts he let me know he had the parts on his truck and could handle the job immediately. He finished within a reasonable amount of time and, only after I inquired, he explained AAA's preferred service plan to me and I was able to save 15% on each line item by enrolling in the program. Also, I won't need to worry in the future about who I will have taking care of my system. AAA Cooling Specialists are rated very well on Angie's List (my main source) and are also APS accredited providers. I feel very good about having AAA onboard.

First of all I want to thank Angie's list, AAA: cooling specialists worked out very well. They were professional and courteous and had a wonderful sense of humor. The price was very affordable and the new unit is working well especially since the cold weather(27 degrees) that we just had come in. This furnace was over 40 years old and we were not sure how much or how hard it would be to replace it. Two of Kurt's workers came in and took the old furnace out that later tarp to protect the floor and went to work to get it out of their. I asked him to vacuum up around the area and they did with no problem, you know 40 years of Arizona dust. Then I got to work making sure everything was up to code, and put the furnace in. It took a little doing for Kurt and his crew to make the new fit with the old. This is how I found that they had a great sense of humor for I asked questions and they gave answers and we had a lot of fun dealing with old and new and making it work . A few trips to the parts store and everything finally fit together. Kurt explained how the new thermostat work checked several times to make sure everything went and worked like it was supposed to. We paid him he gave us a little discount from Angie's list and everything is been great. They did a great job thanks Kurt and crew Bob and Barbara

Erin came over and did a thorough evaluation of my condo and made sure she was recommending the right replacement units for our situation and budget. Since we were leaving in a few days to go back home they quickly got the new units and their crew to do the work the day after Thanksgiving which we greatly appreciated. The install crew was good and they did a solid job of explaining the new system controllers and some touch up work that needed to be done. I called today 11/30 and scheduled them to come back and finish the touch up which Erin quickly set up to get done. Our experience has been excellent and would recommend them for this type of work.

The estimate was free. They were very good, professional, friendly and excellent. I would consider using them in the future.

AAA's repairment were punctual, proficient and polite. AAA's sales pitch was easy to understand and provided a wide range of suitable options. AAA's installation was clean, quick, and effective. AAA's calibration service included three additional visits to fine-tune the unit to our preferences. AAA's interactions with us at all times were friendly and professional.

I had a great experience with them. I have no complaints with them or the price.

One of the best experiences I've had with any company. The return in the master bedroom has worked perfectly. It is drawing more air from the ducts and we are now cool and comfortable in that room. Kurt and Jim were exceptional. Cutting into the attic is a messy job, but when they were finished, not one crumb of drywall or fluff of insulation was left behind and they didn't stuff my garbage can with the debris. They noticed that one of the vent covers they weren't working on was askew and when they checked they saw that it was hanging dangerously from the ceiling by one screw. They secured it with new screws through the metal and then climbed back into the attic to make sure the screws grabbed tight. No charge, they just did it because it was wrong and they were there to make things right. AAA followed up with me by mail and phone call to make sure I was satisfied and everything was working well. They just straight up care about their customers.

Since early this spring, our original 14-year-old heating and AC system had been having all kinds of problems. Little things that needed attention and were repaired in the spring, but by the time things started heating up the system couldn't keep up, kept freezing up, and started leaking in the attic due to a deteriorating drain system. AAA was called on an emergency call after my regular company didn't get back to me on a late Saturday night when water was dripping from the ceiling into our laundry room. Curt from AAA came out, diagnosed the problem and repaired the drain system that stopped the leak. We told him of all the problems we were having and he advised we might want to consider replacing our 14-year-old system. We have about 1500 square feet and the original system was a 9 SEER. Our electric bills were astronomical the last couple of years as he system became less and less efficient, so with about $2,000 in rebates available from the Feds and our utility we decided to begin the process. Curt came out and did a complete walk-through and measured the house, and assessed both the ductwork and drain system. He made recommendations that could improve efficiency in a number of areas and recommended three appropriate systems for us. We ultimately went with the Trane 20I, which was far more than we needed for our space, but had efficiency features built in like dual compressors and and an air filtration/purification system. My wife and I both suffer form allergies and we have six cats, so that was a nice feature Trance was offering at no charge. Also, my wife suffers form a chronic pain condition and rarely leaves the house, so being able to keep the house cool is vital and efficiency was important as well as our system is running 24-7 in the summer. We arranged to have the installation done at 6 am July 31, and Curt and his team arrived a few minutes early. By the end of the day the job was completed. The quote was $10,199 and the final price was $10,199. Curt upgraded our unit from a 3-ton to 4-ton for better efficiency; ended up having to hire a crane to get the unit into our backyard, and had to do a lot of extra attic work to accommodate the units up there. Te job was originally scheduled for 8 hours and ended up closer to 12. He did not charge us one penny more. When they left at 6:30 pm the house temp was 87 degrees. By 11 pm it reached 74 and maintained that all night, turning on only occasionally. Our previous system would have run all night and would not have been able to reach 74, let alone maintain it. We know have consistent cooling throughout the house with the new unit and the massive re-ducting Curt and his team did. Air is being delivered much more efficiently. Our master bedroom at the back of the house was always 6-8 degrees hotter than the rest of the house (since we moved in in 2002). No more. It is the same 74 as every other room.

Awoke Sunday morning, July 12, to water leaking from the attic into the laundry room. Determined the issue was the air conditioning unit in the attic. Broke out the list and started calling early Sunday morning. Curt from AAA was the first to call back and was at the house within the hour. He went into the attic, determined the pan under the air handler was overflowing due to a clogged drain line and and that the pan mis-aligned, requiring water to flow up to reach the drain. He vacuumed all the water out, cleared the line, rerouted it to provide a better and direct flow out of the attic to the outside drain, and properly realigned the pan. Problem solved

They were very prompt, competitive in pricing, and arrived on time. My only complaint is that they left some trash in the attic and a seal went bad after only 9 months. I did contact the company about the seal, and they were very responsive in coming out and fixing the problem.
