Description of Work: We had three TV's that required at least two remotes to run and we wanted them to work with one remote. We also had a Wii and other peripherals we wanted hooked up. Alan was right on time and set everything up to work like it was supposed to. I could set this stuff up myself if I had an infinite amount of time and patience, but I don't. Having Alan, who knew exactly what to do, come over and set everything up to work correctly in a short amount of time was well worth the cost. I'm sure there are many people who have audio or video equipment that doesn't work the way it should or hasn't even been hooked up, because they don't know how to fix it and don't know a service like The Hook Up exists. If you're one of those people I would definitely give Alan a call, you'll be glad you did.

Description of Work: I moved into a home with complicated, unmarked wiring for stereo and media systems. Alan hooked all my equipment up, tested all components and speakers and took the time to label all wires for future ease of use. The bill was a little higher than expected, but he did spend a great deal of time at my home to ensure all was working in order. I will definitely use this service provider in the future. Alan is highly recommended.

Description of Work: The home I purchased was previously wired and setup with multi-room speakers and surround sound. Unfortunately the previous owner had the wiring misslabed and mixed up. Alan was able to setup my new receiver and lable the wires correctly. He also installed a speaker switch to maximize the sound output out of the existing setup and hooked up my other audio/tv equipment. After unsuccessfully installing it I called the Geek Squad, they told me I needed a new receiver, 2 amps and other stuff with instillation would cost about 2,000 with parts included. I decided to check out the competitors and so happy I did. Allan (The Hook Up) arrived on time and ready to get to work, set up the system and other speakers around the house. He also saved me over $500 in equipment that I did not need (Geek Squad). The sound coming from the TV and in house speakers is amazing. The Hook Up is highly recommended and a steal at $85.00 an hour versus what the others want $150 an hour.

Arrived on time, found the problem, ordered new amplifier, and when it arrived was installed on the second trip a few days later. After that was installed and wiring properly all rooms in the house had speakers and sound was better than ever, whereas before the speakers at full volume were very weak.

Description of Work: I HAD A MESS OF CABLES AND CONNECTIONS TO MY TV/VCR/DVD/AUDIO/CABLE SYSTEM IN TWO ROOMS. THE VCR'S HAVE NEVER WORKED SINCE I CONNECTED TO CABLE. THE CABLES WERE SORTED OUT AND ORGANIZED. TWO VCR'S WERE RECONNECTED AND RESTORED TO FUNCTION, COMPLETED WIRE MAINTENANCE ON AUDIO AND VIDEO SYSTEMS, CHECKED ALL SYSTEMS FOR PROPER OPERATION.
