Was very disappointed in their work. My original estimate was $613, then changed to $513 due to incorrect pricing. Men were here for only two hours. That is an outrageous charge for only two hours of work. I realize they had to buy new parts and charge for labor, but still, I feel it is an excessive charge for the amount of work done. Also, the leak in grass is stil bad, if not, worse. In addition, they expected to be paid the entire $513 up front. I insisted that I would not do that, so they asked for $300 up front. I literally had to argue with the salesman for quite awhile before he gave in to that. I've gotten burned in the past by paying up front and lost a substantial amount of money. I regret using this company and would not recommend them to anyone.

We made the appointment for the Big Deal service (tune-up and diagnosis) and they were prompt in coming out. Our front yard sprinkler system (back is irrigated) was old and patchy -- not doing a good job. We talked through options on how to update/upgrade it, which made good sense to us. We also have a side yard that is chronically brown since it isn't irrigated and has no sprinklers -- we asked them for a plan on how to get a sprinkler system installed in that area, which they drafted. After that initial consultation we contracted with them to upgrade the front yard and install sprinklers on the side yard. These services were performed over the course of a few days and included a couple of follow-ups to adjust a couple of sprinklers in the front and on the side, and to reconnect an electrical cord that was accidentally severed during the side-yard digging. All this was done in a very prompt, responsive, courteous, and professional manner.

Mike designed our first phase. The Masterscape team came in and met my husbands deadline of having the job completed before Thanksgiving. I had been away for an extended work trip so did not see any of the work performed - but I do enjoy the final product. The team expereinced a few hiccups along the way (cut the pool pipe - fixed it as soon as they were made aware / some of the sod was dying - they immediatly came out and adjusted the sprinkers). THey are also coming over for a follow up with me since I was not here to discuss their final product with them, They will be explaining what I need to do to keep the first phase beautiful!

Shane was very knowledgable and very patient. He explained everything to me, showed me how large the patio would be by drawing an outline of it on the ground. Helped me to decide what color pavers to use and what color rock would be used to match the front yard. The office called the day before the pavers were installed to tell me what time they would be at my house. The came on time and got all the work done in one day. The crew was professional, courteous and cleaned up after the job was done. I'm very happy with the results and will use this company again.

We have had landscapers that didn’t know anything. They knew a lot about the electrical and the water. They were very knowledgeable. They went above and beyond every other landscaper we have ever had.

They arrived on time and provided a written estimate. They recommended replacing the entire drip system, which is only 8 years old, at a cost of $3,000. We were able to find another company to perform the service for about half of the estimated cost. Purchasing the deal was a waste of money.

Received crazy high estimate from Jeremiah $3400 for irrigation and $ 3200 for lighting(15 pathway lights). Total estimate was approx $6700 I got 2 other estimates from reputable landscaping companies that are also listed on Angies. Lowest one was $675 for irrigation system and $1300 for lighting(20 pathway lights). I ended up selecting 2 different companies one for irrigation and another for lighting.

The work was done completely, quickly, and as far as we can tell, it was done correctly.

They were not responsive to calls. Needed three calls from my management co to get response. They tried the up sale for more services(irrigation) They were going to delay getting work done. I told them I came from So Cal as the owner of the house and was expecting the work to not be delayed 2-4 weeks more. I talked to one of the owners and the work got the next day. Photos of the plants and tree were sent and I was glad to see them because I could not stay in town to see the work.

Well done! Troy walked the property with me and then we agreed upon a plan and price. Work was completed by his team in a timely and professional manner. We did a few add-ons after the initial work - all of which was my decision. Troy followed-up with a complete inspection of all work and made a few corrections/adjustments within a short time frame. I will certainly use Masterscapes again.

I've never had landscaping service before but I had a fine from the HOA and needed service quickly. They came within the time requested, they helped me meet my HOA deadline, requirements, offered options and estimate on future project. I am satisfied with the job and would use them again

He never touched anything, but he told us our trees needed trimming and fertilizer and gave us an estimate for over $1600. for such a service. We feel we wasted money on this sprinkler tune up, and we will not be using them again. The man who came out was very nice, but we felt he was more into making money than providing service. We ask that our names not be published.

When requesting the work, Masterscapes provided some additional options that I would have liked and were beautifully designed. These options could not be selected as just buying what I did on Angies list was a big step for me. Once Masterscapes knew I would only have the initial 10X10 done, the timely return of my calls and ability to schedule the work drastically took a nose dive. It took about 3 weeks with several calls, emails and text message to have a date set. It was finally scheduled for Monday at 8:00 am, the crew showed at 10:00 am. The final product was nicely done and looks good. As an additonal comment: I was surprised that they had not "dug" out some of the dirt to have the pavers deeper into the ground as I've seen on HGTV and DIY shows. The explaination provided was the gravel would be pushed up around the pavers and it would be fine.

He was there on time and was very cordial and knowledgeable. Definitely money well spent.

The guys arrived early. They were hardworking, respectful, helpful and worked for 3 -4 hours and did a great job. The owner came to check that everything was okay. They did an amazing job on my trees!

I'm am kind of disappointed in the descriptions on Angie's list. Some of the descriptions of the services seem to be generic from one company to another. When I bought this deal for the $69 for a Summer Sprinkler Tune-Up & Diagnosis, I thought it would also be good for a drip system on a timer. He did look at the system and told us what was wrong with it, but he basically didn't or couldn't do anything with it or to it. So I spent $69 for nothing and the company didn't offer to apply that money towards the repairs that would be needed since they give free estimates anyway.

Couldn't have gone better. Mike arrived on time, listened to what I wanted to do, and designed a beautiful little spa area for our backyard. Mike went above the call of duty by recommending an excellent electrician and by coordinating work with the electrician. Mike and his crew arrived on time every day and were professionals in appearance, demeanor, and work skills. I ended up with a very nice patio for my spa and ideas on future improvements.

The contact person Shane Talek was great! He answered all my questions and made a few suggestions. My FAV is the new Patio area!

My lawn died. I wold have called him back, but lost his card which was, of course, my fault. I don't do well with filing cards. I was gone when the other work was done, but saw no evidence of it being finished. To be fair, if I had found the man's card, I think we could have worked some things out (he seemed reasonable), so it is not totally fair of me to down grade this business. I had the sprinklers adjusted again and the lawn is now green again. I think one problem with using the specials from Angie's List is the business tend to up sell. Their reason for being in business is to make money, but I feel it is something that we as good consumers need to watch.

I initiated contact with via landscaping company to set installation date. Company had to get back to me because their schedulaer was out in the field. Was called the next day and told company could install the following day. Settled for a mutually agreed upon date for consultation. Met with the company representative on a Friday to review available plant options. Identified the types of plants I wanted to have installed. Scheduled installation for the following Friday.. The following week employees arrived within the scheduled window. Installed the plants. Although company would not garuantee their plants, to date (3 months later) I am satisfied with the product purchased.

Their service was alright. I thought the price seemed very high, so I didn’t end up using them.

angie's list special. called. came out. did what was advertised and more. great service great job.

See above The only thing I didn't' add was the price mentioned above was on top of Angie's deal but that was because I wanted additional areas for pavers.

Very happy! The contractor was very professional and completed the work very quickly!!!
