They did a fantastic job on the tree service. They took care of something that could have been a problem. The service they performed exceeded our expectations.

Inspection was thorough and repairs were performed quickly.

He came out to look at the system I had and evaluated it. He put together a plan based on what I had and what I needed. He did it in a timely fashion. He did a good job. He will come out in a month or two to install it. It was a reasonable quote.

I am perfectly happy with the service I received for the money I spent. They replaced broken equipment and sprayed the yard as asked. Everyone I spoke with was professional and friendly. I received good advice. Nothing bad to say. The only thing I am not 100% on is exactly what I paid for in my "deal". It said Sprinkler Tune-Up and Diagnosis. What I was told was basically the $49 was what it cost to get someone to come out. I am NOT ok with that. I don't need to pay someone to come to my house, and then pay them to do the work. Truly, I would like to have my money back for the "Tune-Up and Diagnosis".

After purchasing their $49 Sprinkler Tune-Up & Diagnosis, they promptly called us to set up a date for servicing. When their representative came out to diagnose our system he found many problems. We were given a list of items that needed attention and the price of these repairs. We were caught off guard by how expensive everything was but being that they were so thorough and professional we went with them. When all the work was done we were very pleased with the quality. However, we needed to call them back because they left without showing us how the new sprinkler system module box works. When they returned they again were very professional and courteous. In the end, although the price was very high we were pleased with the work they did.

we met with Michael and he was very attentive to our requests and went above and beyond what we expected for having a quote done. After taking some measurements and a discussion he left for a while and returned in a few hours with the drawings! We love the design he came up with and look forward to having the job begun as soon as we get the money together. I wouldn't even get another bid at this point because I was so impressed with this companies policies and their personnel. We look forward to working with Masterscapes in the future. The work went well, very professional and easy to work with. Had to come back twice to get the bugs worked out. Very prompt and courteous on the return visits. All working well now.

I went over the estimate with two different people and they appeared to understand what I wanted (a rectangular retaining wall). They gave me a bid that at the time was reasonable. The workers came out to build the masonry wall all seemed good. Around lunch time, they left without telling me and the was is just an L shape. When I talked with one of the estimators, he tells me the work was to do only the L shape. This of course means they did not have a good bid and cost twice what they should cost. If that was not bad enough, the other company that I had to pay to finish the wall, told me they were not happy with the way it looked. Additionally, I later found out the workers changed the wall lengths without talking to me about it. I decided to work around it, but who makes changes to plans without consulting the person paying for the work?

Fantastic. We had some ideas about features we wanted, and some we didn't want, but weren't sure how to put it all together. Troy was very helpful with laying out the yard, selecting plants and pavers, and how to stretch our dollars. They helped us get all the stuff together for homeowner association approval here in Anthem, where the rules are tight. We had no problems getting approval. The workmanship was awesome. Troy said he has the best paver layer in town. We thought, yeah, sure, but now we think he might be right. He worked boulders into the borders, and kept the whole thing freeform, making it look very natural but polished at the same time. We are so pleased with our new yard!

Jeremiah came and provided the service I bought with Angie's coupon. He also gave me estimates for 2 projects I had in mind. The estimates were detailed and allowed me to judge his charges for the work to be performed. I had another landscaper bid for the same job. Masterscape's bid was appreciably more and so I chose the other landscaper. Jeremiah was a very personable young man who was most enthusiastic about his job. I chose the other landscaper on both price and performance.

Troy came in Nov. to give repair on existing irrigation system. He asked if we wanted to do any landscaping in yard as it was a mess. We said yes but not until Jan. 2013. He offered to make up a plan of what could be done and we liked it so much we agreed to have it done right away. He talked to HOA to get approval of anything visible from front of house. He installed pavers on side of garage to front and retaining wall to prevent flooding. He installed pavers on driveway and on path to front door. Also a drainage ditch in front yard as our driveway often flooded as well as garage from slope of ground outside. All of this was corrected. In back he installed travertine pavers over existing patio and extended patio 9 ft. to a waterfall and small pond he installed. Also a planted was built next to waterfall for small plants. We had two sheds on side of yard and he built two steps down from patio and path to sheds with pavers. He also put in a small putting green with artificial turf. Also planted several plants and two trees in yard. Installed an irrigation system for all plants. There were medium sized rock in yard which was very unsafe to walk on. This was all removed and replaced with pea gravel. On one side of yard he built a step up from patio and built a level area for garbage cans and covered it with pavers. He also installed many small LED lights along pathway, in yard at and in waterfall and pond and small spotlights on some of plants. He also ground up a stump in back so we would not trip on it. He replaced all existing rock with pea gravel. In front he placed lights in various locations and spotlight on two evergreens in front as well as irrigation to evergreens. He also installed timers for waterfall, irrigation and other lights. He also performed demo and removal of all debris. He even removed a pile of dirt at side of house left by a previous landscaper. All went smoothly and we were especially glad he dealt with HOA as they can be very particular about what is done to front of your house and yard. All plants are warranted for 6 months and pavers for l year, although Troy says they will last several years. He also said putting green is warranted my manufacturer for 8 years. Everything turned out beautifully and we have received many compliments from many neighbors, delivery people and family and friends. He included pretreatment of weed killer to prevent weeds from growing under turf and all other areas of yard. He also agreed to put us on maintenance plan for fertilizing and trimming of all plants and trees. Other landscapers refused to do maintenance in future. We are extremely pleased with project and feel our yard now looks like a resort.

Service was to do a sprinkler tune up. Quoted on some additional work that I approved. Then had to chase them around for a few weeks before anyone actually came out to do the work. Once they did show up the crew did good work.

I have used Masterscapes before and given them A ratings!! When I was desperate to get my house and yard cleaned up for family coming in town for the holidays, I decided to call Masterscapes. Troy came out and looked around; he was polite, punctual and very personable. He also helped me get my Malibu lights working again. I showed him what I wanted done; he gave me the estimate of 525.00. I was shocked at the expense!! But I was desperate and wanted to get it done so I went ahead and paid what I thought was an extreme amount. (I spent $ 450 for major tree trimming that took the men 1/2 day and it was beautiful!) I just really wanted it perfect for my family and Troy said they could schedule me before the holiday. So I expected a fabulous looking yard when I got home on that Friday. Unfortunately, I come home to a yard almost untouched! The saplings were removed, some trimming but no weeding was done and there were dead leaves all over, it looks like most areas had not been touched. (When they came back - indeed Troy said they removed 6 buckets of trash). The trimming was not done well, and the trash from the trimming was not picked up. I was so completely overwhelmed by that horrible job that was done. But it was late Friday night so I waited until Saturday morning. I called Troy directly and he immediately answered my call. He then called the scheduler who called me back a few hours later. Troy came back out and I showed him what the place looked like. (Saturday) Monday, the crew came back again. When I returned from work the place was indeed better but definitely not the quality that I expected for 525 dollars! There were still weeds and areas that were not cleaned up to my satisfaction- if I had paid 100 dollars maybe- but for 525 dollars, I was not at all satisfied. The money I spent was not at all worth it. I would hire Masterscapes to do my trees in the future but not again for yard cleanup!

Jeremiah arrived on time, called to say he would even be a little early. He went over the system, showed me some issues and made some suggestions as to how to proceed. I was impressed with his knowledge and even more impressed that he was not trying to sell me anything, just pointing out where there were problems. I would definitely use them again

The workmanship was of a high quality for botht he pavers and the wall. My only complaint was that they were supposed to meet me the day of the walk installation so I could lay out the curves/borders exactly as I wanted them. During the quoting process, we agreed to do this but I came home once afternoon and th work was done. Fortunately, I liked the shape of the path so there were no further issues.

Called on December 28th to set up an appointment to get a quote for landscaping services. The appointment desk made the appointment for Thursday, January 3 between 8:30 am & 9:30 am and Troy was to supposed to come. No one called and no one showed up during the appointment time. I waited for an additional 10 minutes, then had to get to work. Guess I can scratch this company off my list to contact for any future consideration.

Jeremiah came out to examine the property and discuss our landscaping needs in late November. Althought we initially signed up for the Angie's List "special" being offered by Masterscapes, it became clear that the coupon would not cover all the new plants and lights we would require. After two visits by Jeremiah (to select location and type of plants) and an up-front estimate of the costs, we agreed on the work: 40 + plants to be planted in the front yard, back yard, courtyard, and the elevated built-in planters along the side of the house. These plants included one saguaro near the driveway; four planters (2 medium, two large) in the front courtyard with new plants and a great, diverse selection of desert plants. The job also included delivering medium-sized rocks in the front yard and back yard as well as in the elevated planters on the side of the home; placing larger rocks along the courtyard driveway; installing one large boulder next to the saguaro; installing new LED lights to replace the old lights and the installation of a few new landscape lights; testing the water feature for leaks (there was evidence of prior water damage through the wall behind the water feature from some time ago) and replacing the hoses and tubes so the water feature would work again; and the testing of each and every irrigation "noodle" around a 5100-square-foot home. Jeremiah's team was out at the house approximately 4-5 times in total. The first visit included 5-6 workers who spent the entire day here; thereafter, the teams grew smaller as Masterscapes was able to focus on specific target areas. Finally, after the rocks had been delivered and all plants planted, all the remained was installation of a replacement shutoff valve on the water feature as well as delivery and installation of the four new planters in the courtyard. Everything was accomplished by the holidays and the landscaping looks fantastic. Having the water feature running and fully lit up for the guests brought us great satisfaction, the selection of plants was fantastic and Jeremiah was instrumental in making recommendations based on HOA guidelines as well as the specific location of each plant. Jeremiah and his team performed professionally, courteously, the team always answered any questions or concerns I had while work was ongoing, the office always called me to schedule subsequent visits in advance. Vangie in the offfice was particularly helpful each and every time. Jeremiah came out to do the final walk-through of the property, addressed last-minute concerns, familiarized me with the irrigation system labeling he had set up, and allowed me to test the landscape lighting. All in all, we were quite happy with the results of this Masterscapes project and are delighted to give Masterscapes our highest endorsement.

All the plants are still living. Unfortunately, the yellowbells were infested with a critter that also attacked my mature trumpet vines and bouganvillas. I think I successfully treated them with malathion. Apparently this infestation is at all the valley nurseries. The tree is growing nicely and will probably give me some shade from the western sun next year.

Very prompt, and explained where plantings would go. A chart with names of plants and their care would have been nice.

They were very responsive and honest in telling me that he couldn't service my area. He was detailed in explaining why and even thought about who he could recommend but didn't find anyone that he would feel comfortable recommending.
