Had a significant leak in one of the lines. We rent the home -- and I'm not always able to get out and make "emergency" repairs. Called Masterscapes and spoke with Jeremiah. He gave me a ballpark price over the phone (which was in line with pricing I had received from other vendors) and said he'd get over to the house that day and would call if the ballpark wasn't correct. He did the work and also noted that one of my valve was leaking (which I knew was leaking) and offered a price to correct it. The valve work was more extensive and was scheduled for another day. Leaks are fixed and my tenant was happy with how the work was completed. Jeremiah was helpful in working the scheduling between myself and the tenant.

This owner really cares about his business and reputation. I was not happy with the first part of the job completed in Nov. 2013. But the owner, Jeremiah, personally visited my home, inspected the entire irrigation system and proposed a solution that was satisfactory. The second part of the job was completed without any concerns or difficulties. I certainly appreciate his honesty.

First they leveled the lot, planted citrus trees on one side and ran irrigation to them, installed 1350 sq ft of travertine pavers. They installed a fire pit and bench (which had some cracks but they came out immediately and redid the pit, better than it was originally. They planted 6 more trees (4 palms) and numerous flowers and shrubs and ran both water and lighting to all. ?

Repaired irrigation system and did intensive clean-up of yard/garden. They were punctual, reasonable to deal with, offered good quality and were flexible.

We were so pleased with results from last year on our front yard that we had them back this year to work on the back yard. They worked with us and our budget, provided ideas and designs that really work. The work this year included a raised flower beds, masonry wall and seating area, pavers, lighting, irrigation, new trees, bushes and plants. The crews came and removed the existing landscaping, and completed the job within 2 weeks. When issues came up during installation, they were quickly resolved. The work site was left clean and orderly each day. The trees and bushes planted last year look great. Their knowledge of trees and plants make their designs work.

Once we were able to arrive at a time that worked for both of us, Jeremiah arrived a little early and promptly completed the repairs and drip system tuneup. All is well again!

I purchased a big deal for this company. That one went really bad. They didn't fix the problem. We still have the problem. They charged us more.

Troy Rock was very helpful with good ideas and layout sense. Work started and finished within a week by professional and courteous workers. Developed a leak in valve system after 6 months recalled Troy and leak fixed immediately. Very pleased with the outcome.

They did a real fine job. The water is running away from the house now. They leveled out the area, but the foundation problems are still present. I am still left with this issue to resolve. It was more expensive than I expected, but for the work they did it was fine. They told me it was going to be $12,000 and then they charged me an extra $850 for something and with taxes brought it up to $13,000. One of the reasons it may have been so much was because I have a swimming pool in the back that they had to remove. They broke it up and buried it.

The guy was really nice. We really needed some leave and junk removed. Was going to charge me 700 bucks. Also insisted on cutting my trees. No thank you. But really wayyyy to expensive for the work performed.

Masterscapes arrived on schedule and finished within the estimated time. The workers were polite and very professional. We are so happy with the finished product. There were no problems. Everyone from Mr. Padilla, to the office and the hard working laborers did great jobs. We would happily recommend them.

The supplier showed up as scheduled to check for leaks in my irrigation system. He checked the timer, reset it to a more appropriate program, and then walked the yard. He identified the source of leaks I was aware of and located two additional leaks I hadn't known about. He suggested certain corrective measures. He marked the leak sites and, as requested, supplied me- within two days- an estimate to correct the problems. However, I have not yet undertaken the correction. Personally cooperative and prompt and a business I will use to complete the process

I have had 2 different estimates done for the front and back yard. The landscaper asked everything I wanted and made the experience about our wants and needs, showed us many different trees to choose from. He broke down the prices for us to get a better idea of what we would be spending on each product.

They were professional and very courteous. The workmanship was excellent.

We had several meetings with Mike while figuring out what to do with our yard on a small budget.? He sketched out a nice design for our front yard which needed a lot of tlc and we knew we had to do it just like it had been drawn so we upped our budget to get as close as possible.? There were a few snafus which we had been warned about like there was nothing to work with for our drip irrigation so we had to add that onto the bill because we wanted it done right.? The workers were nice and worked really well as a team and were very receptive to our directions.? We wish there had been more communication between the designer and the crew before hand which could have saved the crew a lot of time and effort.? Luckily we were mostly home and could keep an eye on things.? Mike's not a big email guy and I'm really not much of a texter as I feel I can't convey things properly in short messages and sometimes we didn't always get a response.? Mike said he would find us someone to re-purpose an old pool fence for trellises but that kind of never happened.? A few plants were missing from the list and we let him know and he immediately went out and grabbed them.? He also stopped by the next morning when we asked him after we realized the crew had been removing rocks we had never talked about and he made time for us even though he was on his way to another appointment; two minutes was all we needed. Both the front and backyard look great, we're very happy with everything. Update: 11/8 We had a few of our plants out front die and the company returned to replace them and add some finishing touches.? They found someone to cut our fences for our climbing vines and were very prompt about the followup visit.? The company was very concerned about making sure our overall experience was a good one and we felt that they more than made up for any issues we had during the process.? They've done an excellent job and our yard looks fantastic!

The service for the big deal went great. Excellent experience with this company.

It was mainly inspection and price given to replace some of the short sections of the main line where the sprinkler heads come out.The price was excessively high and I did not accept the estimate.

We got ripped off by Masterscapes. it was nothing like he said it was going to be. He originally quoted somewhere around $900 and he bought it down to about $600. He told me that he would do as much as he can for half a day since we're only paying for half a day. He had 2 people come out, all in all, it took 2 people about an hour and 35 minutes to do this work. After this experience, we crossed him off our list real fast. Our drip system were not adjustable and when I went to Lowe's, I think that we can get a bag of 10 for $5 or something. I just felt so ripped off, I couldn't see straight. I thought he over charged and I want to say under performed but he made it sound like he's going to have to dig up the whole drip system to find this leak and everything else. He didn't have to do that, all he need to do is run the water, find out where the wet part is in the ground and then dig it out.

So first of all, I want to hire a landscaper because my backyard is a disaster and I really don't have a clear idea of what I want it to look like. I would like professional help with both the design and the installation. Jeremiah showed up on time, but was more concerned with how much I was willing to pay over discussing options and what I wanted. He was far from personable, and it was very off-putting how self-important he came across as being. The degree to which he was concerned with rattling off the prices of things (removing trees, moving/putting in rock...) over anything else was ridiculous. When I said I was under the impression he'd come up with some design options to sit down and discuss to figure out how much I wanted done and when (phases), his response was, "well, our designs are backed up to 3-4 weeks out and if you think you might go with someone else then I don't want to waste my time. I can give you a quick estimate now if you want." Um, how can you give me an estimate with no design? What is it even an estimate of? It was just a very strange meeting, night and day from the company owner of a different place that came out last week. There is no way I'll be calling them back to go ahead with a design.

He was very prompt, and professional. The workmen that did the follow up were on time. It looked like they did a good job and everything is working.

received quote and accepted price after site visit. One day later I received a call form estimator informing me he made a mistake in the materials calculations and aske dme to call him. I never called him back and the next day they showed up and stated work without any furrther discussions. Every day i received a call telling me th eworkers would be one the job that day and when thye would be done. Work performed was professional and done quickly.

It looks great. My only complaint is grass and weeds started growing up though the rock within a week.

Shane gave us creative ideas and plans prior to the work. He was very responsive to our questions, concerns, and changes throughout the process. The job was completed in a timely manner. The price was reasonable. Every day we look at our new outdoor environment we say, ?What a beautiful back yard. We love it.?

Purchased the 15 hour package. Provider did not show up for initial appointment and took a considerable time to reschedule. Over the course of two months dealing with this provider all that was performed was a minor trim on a tree in my driveway maybe one hour if that Maximum. Very displeased with this company and I would strongly warn others not to use Masterscapes services.. I have not heard from them since February, out of sight out of mind I guess. Have hired another company to do the work and am out the fees paid to Angies list for this provider Certainly not a A company as represented on Angies List. I have not used Angies list since. UPDATE - I attended the Phoenix home show and was given the opportunity to speak with representatives of the company about their failure to fulfill their services as contracted. They arranged to visit my property again and offered to provide services to compensate me by trimming various trees, planting a 5ft Cactus and other assorted Plants. This work they performed well and I was satisfied with the offer and the work performed. John P. Ryan
