Howard Air

Have used this company in the past. Honest tune up and inspection of an old unit. The tech gave me all the information I needed to decide how much to spend to get it through the season here in AZ. I plan to hire Howard Air to replace my furnace and air at the end of this season. Every person I contact - scheduling, tech and sales has been first class.

Found a bad capacitor and replaced; tech took the time to show me how he got the reading that showed the part was bad.

Work was well done and the entire engagement was professionally completed.

The Deal I purchased was then confirmed and I received a phone call on 3/17 to schedule the service. I scheduled the service for 12:00 pm on March 27th and I was told that the serviceman would phone me when he was on his way... and he did! For me, punctuality shows responsibility and Joel arrived right on time! He performed the service in a timely & thorough manner, all the while asking if I had any questions... and when I did, he was able to answer them. Joel was congenial, professional and had a great sense of humor! Overall, a great experience and I will definitely use Howard Air in the future!

The experience was good. There were no additional charges. The did an inspection and confirmed that my heater was in working order, and that was good. They did an excellent job. They went out of their way to find out if I had a home warranty, and incorporated that, and they offered a follow up assistance at no charge. They kept track and records of the system I have in my home, so that if I called them again, they could provide parts and that kind of thing.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went fine. The scheduling was very easy and accommodative, and the technicians that came out were very thorough and professional. I have no complaints at all. The price I paid was as advertised. It was not the first time I have used them.

Prompt, efficient, courteous service

I had three different quotes on the replacement unit, Howard Air was not the least expensive. Scott took the time to provide a detailed study of my home, inclusive of number of windows, size of windows, measured the actual square footage and took into account architectural bump outs in the home that were convection heat sinks of interior walls. That being said, he replaced a 3.5 ton unit with a 3 ton unit. It did require additional insulation, but the long term total cost of ownership will offset my initial upfront costs within 3 years. The other two companies just wanted the quick sell of replacing the existing unit with a 3.5 ton unit. The installation team of JL and Terrence were great and had the job done in a little more than 6 hours. They performed everything that they said they would.

That turned out fine and I had them do the AC tune up. They did try to upsell us on other services, but they did do what they came out to do.

The main part of the work took one day, but they did come back for other visits. They had the most competitive prices. Also their professionalism of their quote and estimate process; as well as their service professional and quality of work and cleanup too. They were excellent.

Mike D. did an amazing job. He not only did the tune-up, but took the time to thoroughly clean the ENTIRE AC inside and out. Absolutely amazing job. So good, I bought another deal for a friend of mine. Details below... Diagnostic Found broken and melted disconnect. Replaced as needed as per clients request. Blower motor run capacitor out of tolerance. Rusted secondary drain pan due to blockage in condensate line. Performed a standard 44 point peak performance service. Tested all electrical controls, capacitors, connections and cleaned. Started system, monitored operating voltage, blower motor and fan motor performance. Evaluated refrigerant levels, pressures and temperatures. Washed outdoor section and checked condensate drain line. System operating normal at this time. Flushed primary condensate line and checked outside for water. Line is clear. Replaced badly melted disconnect.

It was excellent. They are great. We have a contract with them that includes 2 services a year so I don't have to worry about it. They are very professional and easy to work with. I had a problem a few years ago and called them while I was out of town. The neighbors let them in and I didn't have to worry about them being in there without me. Our ten year warranty expired last winter and he noticed that it was coming up. He offered to replace some worn parts prior to it expiring so we didn't run into problems in the future. They also found a problem with my garbage disposal and fixed it while they were there.

It turned out very well. They came out within a week or two after purchasing the Big Deal. I had one minor disappointment: they didn’t suck out the overflow lines. I guess it wasn’t a apart of the Big Deal, but it was still worth it though.

Service was great and very professional. I was also given some advice for when I need to replace my AC in the future, and what I can do if problems pop up in the future.

First class work as Dave who did the work was very professional and not only did I like the work done he kept me appraised of each item he was doing and a very nice touch was wearing dust covers for his boots to keep the house clean. Not all service teams do this.

We had a little disagreement over the price. We have two condensers, one for each side of the house. The "deal" we purchased implied that the house was covered, but when the technician arrived, he said that the deal covered only one system. I protested, and there was some discussion with the head office, but in the end, the company agreed to do both for the price of the deal. They agreed that the language in the "deal" was not clear. The work was then done, and we are satisfied.
