The plumber came right at the appointed time. Got to work right away. Assessed the situation. Fixed the leaks.

I was impressed by the thoroughness in planning.....working with my wife and me to decide on layout and sizing of the system to balance capacity with quiet performance. We considered several options, and ultimately found a cost-effective package that we've been extremely pleased with. The installation was smooth, with careful followup to insure we understood how to best use it. When we ran into a small problem with one of the zones, they came out promptly, did the repairs and checked back a couple of times to make sure the "fix" worked. These are professionals, and I highly recommend their services.

I had this company out to repair my downstairs unit last week which was failing to blow cold (I reviewed that service call in a separate post). We added refrigerant at that time and requested leak detection service but the tech's meter was not functioning properly that day. We recheduled the leak detection for the following week. The tech was on time and, as before, he was courteous and professional. He was quick to begin leak detection service and up in the attic he went. Less than 30 minutes later he was finished. Seems as though we have a failing coil on the unit. Bad news for us. It's gonna cost quite a bit to fix. We had to pass up the repair today as it's in our budget. The good news is that we haven't lost much (if any) refrigerant over the last week so we are hopeful it's a slow leak which will buy us time to either make the repair later on or replace the unit. I was given information about possible rebates for new units, if that's the direction we choose, plus pricing on repairing the current unit. Either way, I'm calling this company again!! There was no pressure; only solid advice based on the tech's experience which, for me, is very much appreciated!

Wonderful! This is exactly how a company should be ran. I am so happy I found this company, as they are very caring, hard working and get the job done. Every person I worked with was friendly and professional. They have my recommendation to all my friends and co-workers who made need the services they provide. I will always use them in the future!

My A/C went out in Phoenix, in August. The company was very prompt, arrived sooner than quoted. The tech that showed up had a challenge with the heavy rain, so he waited an hour for it to ease up, so he could evaluate the unit. He was unable to fix the problem, so I decided to replace the entire unit with one he suggested would lower my utility bill and be more efficient. A team came out the following day to install a temporary unit, they were very professional and friendly. When they came back 3 days later to install the permanent unit, my adult son was home to meet them. There was some miscommunication on the part of my son and I thought part of the work was incomplete. When I voiced my misguided opinion on Angie's list, I received an immediate phone call. As it turns out, I was in the wrong, everything was taken care of and more efficiently than promised. I have had the unit 2 weeks and have not been billed. Day & Night does not charge until after the final walk through, ensuring customer satisfaction. I am very impressed with the company. They are reliable and honorable. I would use them again and recommend their services.

I called the office and the repairman was her within the hour on the Friday afternoon before the Labor Day holiday - and it wasn't even an emergency! I learned what caused the problem, how it should best be resolved and how much it would cost prior to any work being done. Not only did he repair the problem but he went ahead and replaced the pipes to prevent the problem from happening again. Very thorough. My carpet was soaked because of the leak and when I asked about hiring a restoration company to come out he recommended how I might be able to solve the problem myself, thus potentially saving me a lot of money. (His suggestion worked!) I highly recommend Day & Night and wouldn't hesitate to call them again in the future.

CJ, the service technician, was very personable, thorough and professional. He found some major repairs that needed to be addressed and explained the situation clearly. He also gave us cost estimates of alternative repairs in writing to show the seller which helped us during escrow. After the close of escrow we plan on having CJ return to service the AC unit & their plumbing staff to do some work also. I would definitely recommend D&N. The Senior Discount was nice too!

See above. They were very courteous and efficient. My only issue was that I don't know if they considered the special consideration of me moving entirely well when I was telling them I wasn't sure I wanted to replace the motor. That was a fairly expensive piece, but having said that, I still think it's a good company.

We phoned Day & Night at 8:30a Monday morning and a service tech was at our door at 10:15a. We were originally scheduled for later in the afternoon but there was an opportunity in the service tech's schedule (Erick) to come earlier, so that was a pleasant surprise! Upon arrival he immediately got to work testing the unit confirming our suspicions that we were low on refrigerant. He explained the potential causes for the refrigerant loss and our options: recharge the system by adding more refrigerant and see how it reacts, or recharge and also check for leaks in the system. We opted to add refrigerant and also test for leaks. Makes sense to find out where it's leaking and repair it so you don't waste money in the future just filling the system back up again (Freon is not cheap!) BUT I was happy that at least we were given a choice for the repair. Unfortunately the tech's leak detection meter was acting up and he wasn't able to complete the leak detection and will have to come back another day. We ended up adding and paying for appx 7lbs of refrigerant and also signed up for their annual maintenance program. We paid appx $305 for the program which allows you one AC inspection per year and one heating inspection per year (this is for two units). I think it's prudent, since our units are 11 years old, to probably give 'em a little TLC. I also believe that the price for the plan is more than fair; plus, signing up gives us an additional 15% off any repairs. We also used an Angie's list exclusive coupon to discount the site visit fee by $30. There was a little confusion on the cost of services at the time of payment. I noticed a discrepancy that was NOT in our favor by almost $100. I could have let it slide and paid less (and felt guilty!), but I expect a company to be fair with me so I want to reciprocate. This is really the only reason why I gave a "B" rating on price. I'm not gonna lie - it was a little painful to find the amount owed was really $100 more than the invoice was originally written up at but fair is fair, and the tech was extremely apologetic. As I mentioned earlier, they still need to return for the leak detection service but I'm expecting A+ service and I'm not as nervous.... well, I'm still nervous about more repair bills...but I'm not losing sleep because I'm confident we will be treated fairly.

Outstanding!I got a call late Saturday evening that my daughter's air conditioner, at a townhome I purchased for her, had stopped cooling. I immediately got on Angie's list and decided to call Day & Night A/C services because of their excellent ratings and their name implies 24/7 service. An answering service took my call and the young lady was very sweet and understanding. She explained the pricing (after hrs emergency charges etc.) and said a technician would be contacting me soon. And he did, within 15 minutes. We discussed the problem and location of the unit, which is on the roof of a two level townhome. It was past 7:00 pm and he said that for safety reasons the company prefers to work on units high up on the roof during the day. Had the unit been on the ground he'd be there within the hour. I totally understood, so we agreed to deal with the matter early in the morning. Next morning I received a call from the owner, Jeff and we had a nice conversation about his company's dedication to customer service and his empathy as a devoted parent. Jeff decided not to charge me additional weekend service fees.Within a short time Frank (technician) called me to say he was on his way. Since my daughter had left to spend the night with friends, I told Frank I'd meet him there at the agreed time. When I got there, Frank was already on the roof, but came down just to greet me and explain all he had done and was about to do. I let him inside the house where he inspected the thermostat, returns, filters, etc. Frank went up on the roof at least five times and all along kept a smile on his face in the midst of 102 degrees temperature. All I could think of is that this man truly enjoys his work! Frank gave me tips on maintenance and thanked me for the opportunity to be of service. What a delightful experience!. All I can say is that Day & Night Air Conditioning is now my one and only company to call whenever I need A/C, heating or plumbing services and will recommend them to everyone I know. From the answering service, to the owner, to the professional working on your property, expect courteous, professional, compassionate and excellent quality of service all the way! Thank you

I do not have air conditioning maintenance done because I have spent quite a bit of money for unnecessary work. My unit is old and I have been waiting for it to give up, and it seemed to have done that last Thursday when it was blowing warm air. I called Day and Night due to their excellent rating on Angie's List. I did not expect them to be able to come to my home the same day, but not only were they available, they arrived a half hour earlier than they said they would. They repaired the damage due to the neglect and/or damage done on purpose by my former company, American Air, explained what had been done, and charged me very little. I would definitely use them again.

I had a great experience with Day & Night, starting with the very first phone call. My AC went out in the evening and I called and left a message. My call was returned promptly and an appointment was made. Both Ron and Kent were prompt and courteous. They took the time to explain the problems, and there was no hard sell to get me to buy a new air conditioning unit, which I truly appreciated.

Had 4 different TOP RATED AC companies come out to quote my new home (14 year old AC unit) for a new AC unit. Marc from Day and Night was not only 1 of the most thought, they were also the best value for my money. All of my duct work was thrashed, and needed to be replaced, also need additional vents added. They are 1 of the very few companies that will not take any money until the job is completed. NO DOWN PAYMENT, that's simply unheard of today.The team came out on time and got on started quickly. They had the whole job done within a day. Which was great! HOWEVER, we did run into some issues. The team did not have all the vent covers with them, also did not know how to install my "special" thermostat. The next day they sent out a rep to install my covers, as well as help with with some concerns I had. My living room was HOT, and I was willing to give it some time to work out the kinks. He made a couple of adjustment and was on his way. The following week another tech came out in install my ecobee thermostat, which turns out to not be installed that day. Another slip through the crack issue. The first crew did not run a new thermostat wire from the unit. Not an issue because the old thermostat was working and the house was being cooled. HOWEVER..again, I had concerns about my hot spots. Turns out the unit was only wired on the low setting (2 stage unit) so it simply could not keep up with the heat. The new tech wired on high, per my request, so I can get a feel for it working fully. Another week and they send a tech out again to set up the thermostat. Gets the new wire ran, and thermostat done within a couple of hours, and all was good. A couple of weeks later everything is done and Marc comes out to give me all my warranty info, rebates and payment. Went ahead and added the extended warranty to the unit (simplicity of having 1 company handle all my issues if U have any). Great news (I did have to tell them about my rebate i did qualify for, they thought I was not SRP), I get a $300 rebate on my new system as well. After 2 months, no rebate, so I called to get the scoop. Turns out the appropriate paperwork was not processed!!!! Great companies will fix this problem, since part of the deal with Day and Night is they handle all of this paperwork. The simply said they will cut me a check for the $300. I follow up a few days later and they were able to push the rebate through SRP. Either way is good, just now I'm 2 1/2 months farther out. I still have not received my rebate yet (as of today) and the last conversation I had with Day and Night was July 31st......Very long review, but wanted to point out everything. Great value for my money, yes had issues, but they took every step needed to make sure I was satisfied. Now as soon as I get my $300......Thanks again Day and Night AC Team!

For approximately 25 years I had been using a prominent heating/ac service company in Phoenix. I won't mention their name, but their service was consistently deteriorating through the years and finally reached the point that I dreaded calling them. Not only did they fail to show up on time, sometimes they failed to show up at all; plus there was always a new service person who showed up. I like to have the same person return, if possible. I know it's not always possible, but with this firm, their turn-over of employees was so great, there was a new face every time. The old firm was also increasingly aggressive about developing additional work. Even though I only wanted them for heating and a/c, they would constantly push to check out my water heater or check out plumbing -- I got tired of telling them I was only interested in heating and a/c. The final straw was a ridiculously expensive annual service contract that they kept pushing. It didn't matter to them that I had been a customer for 25 years, so I finally got fed up and decided to find somebody new. I immediately turned to Angie's List and "found" Day & Night Heating & Air Conditioning. They had great reviews, were in my area, and I liked everything I read about them. I called and was greeted on the phone by a very friendly person, great phone "presence" and someone who seemed genuinely interested in helping. I explained that I found them through Angie's List and explained the above saga about my former a/c service company. I also explained the problem I was having with the one unit blowing room-temperature air and that I want to schedule a service call and then depending how that went, I might be interested in having our four units serviced and sticking with Day & Night for all my heating and a/c work. I was pleasantly surprised that she scheduled me for later that same day and told me that the service person would call me when he was on his way. C.J. (the service technician) called me approximately 4:30 to say he was on the way and he arrived shortly thereafter. It was a very hot day, and late in the day, but CJ was neat, clean, very pleasant and professional. I explained the problem and my "history" with the other company, and he listened, asked some excellent questions, and I felt we hit it off immediately. Upon entering my home, he put on some shoe covers so as not to track anything into the house. I appreciated that. He inspected the thermostat and went up on the roof, checked the unit out thoroughly, and whatever the problem was, it was minor and it was quickly resolved. I asked a number of questions about Day & Night, and I felt CJ was very candid and forthright in his responses. I never felt that he was attempting to "sell" me anything. I inquired about their service plans and he provided the information, all of which I felt was fair and reasonable. He provided me his business card along with his number should any problem arise thereafter. I was very impressed with CJ and Day & Night and will be signing up with them and will definitely be using them for all my heating and a/c issues in the future. I feel like I found a real "gem" in Day & Night and in CJ, and I look forward to working with them in the future. Angie's List does it again, so a special "thank you" to Angie's List and to Day & Night, and CJ. Very well done.

My air conditioning broke down in 2010. I finally called Day & Night based on Angie's List reviews. The woman to made my appointment was very knowledgeable and friendly. She even called back as the appointment drew near to advise me of the repairman's status. It was a same-day appointment. When Kasey arrived, he was very friendly and courteous. I described the screeching noises that my air conditioning was making and that I stopped using it in the fall of 2010. He went up on the roof and came back down after about 10 minutes or so and advised me of the issues. He even showed me the pole conductor part and where it had broken. It was obvious that it broke from wear and tear. My AC is over 12 years old. This was the first problem I had had with it. He fixed the problem, referred me to the coupon online that Day & Night was offering and we settled the bill. My home had started to cool off before he even left. A representative from Day & Night even called a few days later to confirm that I was happy with the service. My AC is running like new with no issues.

They were good. They showed up on time and there were no problems with the unit.

Originally we had a new rooftop air conditioner installed in April of this year....please refer to the review on Odie's Heating & Cooling (Lance Oden owner) on Angie's List. This guy ripped us off by not finishing the job and what was done was so bad that both main ducts had separated from the main drop down coming from the unit allowing cool air to fill the attic instead of the house. He wouldn't even answer our calls. We checked into Day & Night Heating & Air Conditioning and were very impressed with the way they do business. This was not just a cut and dry deal. There was a whole procedure to this re-install. The company set up an appointment for a tech to come to the house and assess the situation and confirmed that the original install in April of this year was very bad. There were other problems with all of this as well, as a result of this poor installation. Fortunately, we were not in too big a hurry as we did have a working unit. It just wasn't very efficient because of the bad install. Then all the information was downloaded along with pictures to their main office for further analysis. This sounds kind of out of the ordinary because it took so many steps before we could even schedule the re-install. In the long run, it took a couple of weeks to get it scheduled because of further analysis at which time the company sent out another tech that agreed with all that was wrong and was there to also assess what materials he would need. He also drew up a draft or blueprint of what would need to be done along with some improvements to the whole system as far as duct work. My husband is very knowledgeable on this stuff and totally agreed. We received an estimate within a couple of days and scheduled the work to be done. A crew of two men came and were on time! They had all the information on paper along with the draft/blueprint of what was to be done. It took most of the day but everything is done and done very well, neat and complete!!!!!. My husband inspected the work and was very satisfied. We did not find this company on Angie's List but I am writing this review because all that we had researched seemed to be true. We are very very impressed with this company and the way they did business. They were methodical and stated they would not recommend any additional work unless it was necessary and that says a lot about a company. We will continue to use this company for any and all our heating and cooling needs! THEY WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

When calling the company they had someone come out immediately. When he came he knew the problem from the get go. He explained what he was going to do and how much and how long it would take for the job. He was very much on the button on all things. At the end he was very courteous, clean and efficient. We would call this company back again and again if one of our AC units would stop working.

Their plumbing service is very good. They came when they said they would, and were very professional.

The upstairs AC unit in our condo stopped blowing cold air at around 9PM Tuesday night. I called Day and Night at 6:45am the next day and Jerry the technician was at my door by 7:15. Jerry very promptly showed me the problems we were having, explained how he was going to service the unit and then fixed the problem. He was done by 9AM. I also ask a lot of questions, which Jerry was more than happy to answer. I am very pleased with the service and will use them again. And when it comes time to replace my system, they will be the first company I call.

Water started dripping from the ceiling. In the attic the drain pan had water in it. With all of the insulation, couldn't find the drain for the pan. I called Day & Night for an appointment for the next morning. Jerry arrived early in the appointment window, which I appreciated so I could go to work. He promptly diagnosed and cleared the blockages.

Technician was prompt, friendly and professional. He did not try to push extra services. Used a camera to check main drain to sewer line and showed me what he was doing. I would definitely recommend this company to others and will use them in the future.

I had called to make an appointment for an second opinion, using the companies coupon for FREE second opinions but was told that it is only for MON-FRI calls........ Although it did not specify this on the coupon as a exculsion.
