While the total price seems high, I place great value on quality work, timeliness of work and response to request for work, and the overall hassle. Day & Night had a very quick response time, performed the work quickly without having to re-do anything, and the unit has been working perfectly since. I'm very pleased and would hire them again.

Clearly showed pieces and parts, with explanations about each. He stepped me through each question carefully and made sure I understood. I was then better able to judge the contractor sent from the Home Warrantee Insurance company.

I did my homework and got bids from four reputable firms. I was most impressed with Jeff Martin (D&N's owner) and his team. The long and short of it is that D&N did a wonderful job. I have since recommended their AC services to several friends who have also liked their work.

Overall, my experience with them was good. They cleaned up after themselves once they finished the job. They honored another quote that was lower; they did not offer it immediately, and I had to do some research. Part of their guarantee was that if I could find the same thing at a lower price, they would honor it, so it was really my work that did it; somebody else would be paying a higher price. I don't know if I should give them credit for the lower price. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

air conditioner heater six years ago when we had our home built their phone number was noted on our thermostat. We were without heat! We thought it was our thermostat because, we had that problem previously in one of our old homes! We called the company and they reffered us to a new company who is now handling their service requests so we called them. We were not happy with the service person that came out at all. He immediately said, it was not the thermostat before he tried anything? Before he went into our attic he asked if we had a bulb? I advised no but. we have a lantern and I gave it to him. He was in the attic for about 40 to 45 minutes and came down stating it was a limiit switch causing the problem and he did not know the cost exactly he would have to check but, it would probably be between three hundred maybe three seventy five or more plus the coming out fee!! Our son in- law always gives his opinion so, I called him and he said NO!, join Angie's list and get one of their guys. So we joined for a year and I read many good reviews and then called Day and Night. We were so thrilled and Thankful that we found a reputable company. The serviceman was very knowledgeable and explained everything after going in our attic for less than twenty minutes he gave us the price right up front .. We had out of state company visiting during the holiday so we requested a later date for putting in the part. He made certain that we had heat during the interum and assured us it would be safe and the part could wait. He came back on January 3rd at our request and installed the new part . We would highly recommend this company to anyone. They are resonably priced and are highly qualified for your heating or cooling problems. They continually have their technicians going to school to keep up with changing technology. They even have plumbers which we will be needing in the near future. It was good, no problems at all. He knew what he was doing and fixed it in a timely manner.

There was a miscommunication in what I had ordered like what he was coming out here to take care of and mix up in paperwork, so ended up doing something I actually didn't request. When I asked about it the same day he just went did what I had originally asked for, he apologized for it and I didn't mark anything negative about it, because he took care of it and it was just a little miscommunication. He was on time, professional and did actually what he was suppose to do. I would definitely recommend this company! I even signed up for annual HVAC check ups.

I had been without heat all week and through the "wet cold" from several days of continuous rain; my digital thermostat had gone blank. After eliminating all of the obvious "maybes" (circuit breaker, etc.) I concluded that I would just have to be chilly for a while. When it came to showering, however, the climate indoors was not so comfortable. By now, it was Friday and after surfing Angie's for who to call, it was mid afternoon so I was resigned to the strong possibility that I would have to stay bundled up until Monday. Much to my surprise, when I called Day & Night's office, they advised that I would be the next call and gave me a two and half hour window. When I explained what I thought the problem was, Cori suggested I check the battery in the thermostat first. Excited by the possibility of such an easy fix, I told her to hold off on the call, that I would call her back. I had to struggle to dislodge the cover as it was partially sealed by old paint, thus another half hour had passed before I called again (unfortunately there was no battery.) Still, I was the technician's next call. Cori then went over most of the cost scenarios, including the charge for just the service call, so that there would be no surprises. When I expressed dismay at the comparative cost of a Home Depot thermostat and one sold and installed by them, Cori did offer phone assistance with wiring questions as they often have to do when homeowners choose to DIY. I elected to cross a few gifts off the Christmas list and move forward with the appointment. Within 45 minutes CJ called, as promised, to advise he was en route and gave me an ETA. The first thing he did on arrival (less than 20 minutes later) was identify himself and present his card...it was apparent the techs have been trained both to make sure you know who they are and provide a contact should there be any concerns after the call. After popping up on the roof and checking everything out, it was time to select a new thermostat. The less expensive model I wanted was not on his truck, so he checked with the office and rather than have us (myself and him) wait for one to arrive, I was given the touch screen programmable for the price of the other. CJ also went over all functions and programing options. In a nutshell, CJ was the most courteous, friendly, professional and helpful service tech I've dealt with; the house is an old fixer-upper foreclosure so I have had more than my fair share of repairs, replacements and service folks over the last couple of years. He repeated that I was to call him in the event I had any questions or needed any help with programming the new thermostat. He could not have been nicer or more efficient. CJ also happily accepted the $10-off Angie's list coupon (altho I did find one for $30 off on their web site that evening :-( While I'm guessing that replacing a thermostat could be done for considerably less, part of what is paid for is service, and that was top notch.

The plumber showed up, explained the service and what was going to be done and started by draining the sludge out of the hot water heater, then replacing six shut off valves and finally installing a new toilet I had purchased.

They did about what I expected them to do including showing me that a capacitor was getting ready to go bad. The experience was good and they do what they promise. They don't push additional work on you; they work with you to determine what, if any, additional work needs to be done. I will use them again in the future.

I am an out of state landlord, and was only in Phoenix for two days. They came out and did an estimate the same afternoon I called. The work was performed while I was not there and the property was vacant, with the assistance of my real estate agent. Day and Night performed the work as scheduled, on time and at the agreed price. Especially noteworthy: they didn't even charge me until they performed a working inspection a week after the installation.

Kent did a thorough job. He spent time talking to us about what we had and might expect since we are newer to the desert. He was very helpful, no stress, and no pushing other services. Definitely would recommend and will contact again.

When we called they got in touch with us and were able to schedule our appointment very promptly. On the day they were scheduled to arrive my husband was called out of the house unexpectedly. They called me and were very professional about rescheduling for the very next day. The technician that came out to our home was very professional and through. He checked our heater and two air conditioning units and left us with reports on a few things he'd suggest we consider. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we'd recommend them as well as use them again!

They were thorough and helped me feel at ease about my system. We just moved into the home and wanted to make sure it was in good working order even though the home inspection passed it. It's an old system and there is some rust in the heating chamber (gas Heater) but he assured me it was not a fire hazard.

The service tech called prior to showing up at my house. I'm sorry i do not recall his name because he was such a nice man. Coupon I purchased was for 1 unit. I wasn't thinking when I bought the coupon because I have two units. The tech called and the company gave me the coupon price for the second unit. The tech completed his tasks and also found a programming error in my thermostats and reprogrammed them. The best recomendation I can give this compsany is that I would not feel uncomfortable recomending them to friends and family!

I purchased an inspection coupon from Angie's List. I scheduled a time with Day and Night for them to come and look at the unit. I knew there was a problem since the heat was not working. The technician, C.W., called when he was on his way and arrived on time. C.W. was very knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with. He was also very hones, which I appreciated. He told me what was wrong with the unit and that he could fix it or I could look into a new unit. What I appreciated is that C.W. wasn't there to sell me stuff. In fact, he didn't work on commission. He provided me with the information, answered my questions, and helped me get an appointment for someone to come and give a quote on a new unit. After I get my new unit (wherever I get it from), I will definitely use Day and Night to service and maintain it. Honesty and integrity are often qualities hard to find with many businesses.

I can't say enough about the quality of the primary service representative Hector. The other guys were fine also, but Hector went above and beyond to fix the issue. I had another company do the 'energy audit' and they wanted about $1650, just for the 'sealing.' That sounded too high so I contacted Day and Night. Hector took a look and said it would be $800 for the sealing. After the sealing that was fine, we fixed the leakage. However, I still wasn't happy with the airflow in the newer part of the home. Hector suggested we replace certain registers with a dampered register, that would be another $ 325....my thoughts.....here we go I'll get screwed :( ....... How wrong I was. I checked online, and the dampers alone would have been $35 to $70 EACH! So I told Day and Night to go ahead and do it. It works great and the price was certainly fair. I'll use these guys again.

From the original service date until the completion of the work, the technicians performed to the highest overall standards and we are most pleased with the service.

No problems, job thoroughly done. I have used Day and Night for over 20 years, including the install of current system three years ago and have always been satisfied with the responsiveness and quality of service. Probably cheaper services out there but I don't know why I would change.

Technician Ron was absolutely WONDERFUL! I had Day and Night come out to do a 20-point inspection of my 15 year old A/C unit. Ron not only tuned-up the unit, but went above and beyond to fix a couple other issues. He explained in detail current status of the unit and suggested future preventative maintenance. He was very low pressure (which I really appreciate). Written estimates were given for future service. This company is phenomenal - very trustworthy, honest, punctual and professional! I have recommended this company to several coworkers and will absolutely use them again. A+

First of all it was so nice to have someone actually arrive at our house on time! Our appt was for 8:00am and he was right on time. Ron, was very personable and pleasant. He did exactly what was scheduled on the 20pt check list. He took his time and was thorough, explaining everything he was doing every step of the way. He worked on the units both insided and outside the residence. He was there around 2hrs and we are very pleased with the outcome. After he was done, he sent an itemized list and report of everything he completed from start to finish, to my email address. That report/receipt was already on my email waiting for me when we got home. We will be telling all our friends and family that need any type of this kind of service to contact Day and Night Air.

Let me first state I am a first time home owner and this is my first time calling an HVAC repair company. However, that being said I feel like I was completely ripped off. I called since my air conditioner periodically blows hot air in the afternoon. Day and Night came out and charged 79.00's just to come out and take a look at the unit. They diagnosed that the motor was overheating and as a side note, that I needed a new run capacitor. They wanted 900 dollars to relace the condenser fan motor and 180 dollars to replace the run capacitor. I found this a bit steep so opted just for the run capacitor and while he was doing the work, researched on google. Apparently, a 15 microfarad run capacitor averages roughly around 20 bucks only and they wanted to chard me 180 plus the 79 dollars to come out. Updating the review to make it more accurate. There were some incosistencies since I wrote this pretty quickly.. I also changed my review since Jeff gave me a full refund. I wasn't asking for a full refund and while I don't think it's fair for Jeff and Day & Night, Jeff mailed it anyways. He also wanted me to append to my review so, per his request and the refund I have updated this review.
