David arrived on time and was very professional and efficient. The ductwork checked out ok and he was very helpful in suggesting steps we might take to reduce our heating and cooling costs.

2 parts, one was the duct leakage test. Arrived on time and checked each duct for leakage using a vacuum and air flow meter. Suggested possible corrections to fix what appeared to be leaky ducts. The AC tune up did not arrive as scheduled and needed to be rescheduled when I was not home, only my wife. They checked the AC unit and said the blower capacitor was going bad, provided numbers on the old capacitor. Replaced it with a new one but no numbers on the new capacitor to demonstrate any actual change. Noted the fuses were over sized for the compressor, provided option to change them to correct size. Price for both items needing correction seemed a little high for parts. I understand a markup since they are here on site and have to carry items to support possible situations, but still seemed a little high to R&R the fuses (a 2 minute job) and the capacitor (maybe a 10 min job). Old parts not left for examination.

The technician arrived on time and was courteous. Even though his ladder was not quite tall enough to reach the top of a 14' ceiling he found a way to get the vents sealed and performed the tests. He recommended duct repair work ($650) plus replacing grills ($160 ea) with grills that were a little more open. I got the impression that the recommended repairs and grill replacements were not guaranteed to fix duct leakage problems but were more of a best guess of where ducts typically leak. I got what I paid for but not what I was expecting. I naively expected that duct leakage testing would find and fix duct problems. I was disappointed that all I received was an indication of the magnitude of the problem and that suggested repairs would not be guaranteed to fix the problem.

As part of the energy efficiency a recommendation was done to add larger air duct to the air handler. The cost was about $1500 for our house. I've noticed the A/C unit does not have to battle as much. I will be able to tell after some months on the efficiency. Overall very satisfied.

Very prompt, professional, and honest. Answered my questions about the equipment and where it was in its lifespan. (I thought it might be due to replace because it looks like junk, but he said it still had a number of years left on it which was nice to hear.) Didn't give a hard sell which I always appreciate.

They came out and kept trying to push me to purchase new units and air ducts. It seemed like they were pushing product rather than just doing the deal.

This was the second audit I had performed by this company. The person doing the first audit must have lost the information because we never heard back from him. A few months later I received a call from the company explaining the first auditor was no longer with the company and the company would perform a new audit at no charge to me and in addition the company would refund my check for the first audit. I did not think it right to accept a refund and also a new audit, so I declined the refund but did agree to a new audit. They could not have been nicer. After the second audit was performed and a follow up report presented to me, I tried to take action on the audit recomendations. When calling the company they had no idea about performing any of the recomended tasks. So would I use this company for an energy audit? Yes. I just would not use them to work on any of the issues needing attention found in the audit. The Ac inspection was just a complete disaster. I would not reccomend.

They called first thing in the morning the day after I purchased the deal to schedule the services. They were very professional and friendly on the phone. They arrived on time (two different people) and were very professional. The tune-ups for two units took a few hours, whereas the air duct tests for two systems took most of the day. I will be rescheduling them to come back to complete the repairs that were needed on the AC units (they did not have time available that day). Also, we have a room that is not cooling, and they were unable to determine the reason - thus I will also have a full energy audit done to further diagnose the issue.

MTM technician showed up on time and ready for business. He had all the appropriate tools and went right to work on my outside unit. I accompanied him and he was very thorough and answered all my questions. He then moved on to the air handling system and gave me a overview of the operating condition and further considerations. He did top notch work and didn't attempt to sell me anything that I truly did not need. Great service and terrific experience...check these folks out for your future mechanical system needs.

They came 24 hrs after I called. They called and said they were going to be early. The technician came and introduced himself. He came and showed me what to do, walked me through what he did and gave me information I needed. He answered all my questions and I thought he was very knowledgeable. I thought they were great.

Exceptional and very good service. They were very thorough. 1 man was very careful, look at every nook and cranny. Very impressed with the results.

Two separate technicians were dispatched; one for the AC Tune Up and one for the Energy Audit. There was a mix up with my address. It seems the technicians were given incorrect directions and/or an incorrect address even though my correct address was in the work order. Either way, I received phone calls with updates and eventually the technicians arrived. The technicians were fantastic, friendly, and professional and I was more than pleased with their work. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much due to the low cost of the Angie's List coupon but I received far more value from Magic Touch Mechanical than the $99 I paid. I'm not sure what the regular price of the Energy Audit and AC Tune Up is but I imagine full price is even worth the work. The AC tech arrived first and was extremely efficient and professional. He performed his work, provided me with a recommendations and reasons for the recommendations along with test results. I decided to have him do some of the work at that time since the price was acceptable. Total cost for parts and labor was $120. The Energy Audit tech arrived next and combed through the house performing his energy audit. He was extremely efficient and professional, too, and well-versed in energy efficiency. I tend to ask a lot of questions. He was patient with each question, able to provide answers for everything, (and if not specific answers, at least logic behind the reasoning), and helpful advice. I just received my follow up visit for the audit yesterday and am pleased with the results. The results confirmed some areas I was aware of but also educated me on some areas I was unaware of. One of my biggest benefits was wear to focus home improvements for the best return on investment. My original assumption, prior to the audit, was actually incorrect. Thanks to Magic Touch Mechanical I am able to avoid improvements I thought would be most beneficial and instead focus on truly beneficial improvements. Besides the actual energy audit results, I was relieved to find no "hard sale" pushes. Pushy salesmen are not required with Magic Touch as the work speaks for itself. I will continue to do business them.

Very well. Some external work was performed following day by a subcontractor and his work was excellent also. The room temperature mismatch problem has been solved.

They were very thorough and spent a lot of time at the house. They made 2 trips, the first one was the audit and the second one was the presentation about the report with their findings and recommendations. The audit was very detailed and intensive. Now I just have to decide what I want to go ahead with.

I have used them before to replace one A/C unit. They are a little expensive, but are extremely thorough and you get what you pay for. They are the best in the business, that I have come across, in terms of a professional, cost effective service.

I beleve all I really needed was a thermostat. after the work is completed who can say what realy was the problem was. All I can tell you is that is is strange the AC broke the hour the Techs showed up and it now acts exacly the same as it did when I called them for an energy audit.. At the end of the work I feel I was taken advantage of.

Appointment was made, and they arrived on time. Their tech was fast, courteous, and honest, as our leakage rate was such that we don't need to do anything. Pretty simple.

David is the one who came out and he was phenomenal. He was professional, friendly and prompt. He did a great job. We were doing the rebates through APS. He had all the rebates to me the day after he did the test. I was really impressed.
