We had just moved into our new home, and the weather turned cold that same weekend.  I noticed Sunday night that the heat was not coming on.  The thermostat was not functioning and it was getting chilly in the house.  I didn't think it would get too cold, so I figured it could wait to the next day.  That evening the house got down to 62 degrees.  It was very chilly and I have two small children.  I contacted my home warranty company first thing the next morning to come and repair the unit.  After spending the better part of the day on the phone with the home warranty company, they were unable to find a technician who could come the same day.  The following evening was supposed to get down to 38 degrees and I was not about to go through another night with no heat.  I placed a desperate call to John's refrigeration Monday afternoon to get someone out the same day to diagnose and repair the system.  I spoke withTaryn and she advised me that there was a technician in the area who could come by after his current appointment.  I was so thrilled!  She called me when he was on the way so I didn't have to leave work earlier than necessary.  Brian, the technician was already at my home when I arrived.  He was very professional and courteous, covered his shoes before entering the home, had a drop carpet that he placed at the doorway to ensure no dirt was tracked into the hosue.  He looked at the wiring, asked permission to get on the roof and look at the AC unit wiring.  He identified the wiring issue and went above and beyond by changing out the sun baked wiring so that the color could be identified in the future.  He connected the thermostat correctly to ensure the heat was working.  He went above and beyond then by identifying that the unit had been wired incorrectly by the previous owner and my dual compressor unit was only working on 1 compressor.  He took the time to make sure that the dual compressors were working, and educated me on how the system was supposed to work, and how to identify that it was working as it should.  The house is warm and toasty now, and I am thrilled with the service provided.  I have already referred a friend to Johns Refrigeration.

Great experience.  I came home late on a Friday night to find one of my two AC units wasn't working.  I called my "normal" service company, and when I didn't call back after a couple of hours Saturday morning, I checked Angie's list and called John's.  The repair man called and told me he had 2 jobs ahead of me and would be out around noon.  I had to be at a hospital to sign consent for a surgery and told him that I should be able to make it home by then.  He called around 11:00 to say he was done and could come now.  I told him I wouldn't be there for a couple of hours.  Well, he said he'd go to lunch and to call him when I was going to be available.  So, this guy waited form me, on a Saturday, when he was essentially done, to come and fix my unit.  He found the problem within a few minutes, left to pick up the part, was back quickly and replaced the capacitor.  He was very courteous, professional and quick.  There was no extra charge for weekend service.

The owner called a couple of weeks later to ask me how the service went and was I satisfied.  Obviously, customer service is very important to this company.  I highly recommend John's.

I have 2 units.  I had a different company perform a maintenance service call.  They recommended that the fan blades on both units be replaced along with the condenser fan motor on one of the units.  I called John's for a 2nd opinion since I had used them in the past.  Jared with John's came out the next day and was on time for the appointment.  He said the fan blades were fine but the condenser fan motor needed to be replaced.  He also said that both units were pulling high amps and recommended installing compressor savers on both units to preserve the life of the compressor and save on electric useage.  I wanted to think it over as $1100 is a lot of money and did not agree to the repair on the spot.  I called back a couple of days later and scheduled the repair.  Jared came back the next day and installed the conderser fan and the compressor savers.  I was satisfied with the quality of the repair and Jared was very professional and helpful.  My only complaint is that I was charged a second service fee of $69 since I didn't agree to the repair on the spot.  I would however definitely use them again and recommend their service.

We use them frequently to do any kind of service on our air-conditioning. They are honest and they come out when they say they will. They are very professional and are always on time. We have been very pleased with them. They came out last fall. We didn't spend anything as we had a contract with them. We will probably be calling them again in the next few weeks to make sure that everything is up and running with the air conditioner. They come highly recommended. I would refer them to friends and family.

John?s refrigeration installers were very professional and knowledgeable; the salesman took the time to educate me so that I could make an informed decision. They used top quality R8 flex ductwork and even did airflow before, then after new installation checks of the system. I have nothing but good to say about this company and highly recommend them for your HVAC maintenance needs. My original HVAC ductwork was poorly designed, which resulted in numerous areas that were hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Now the house is the same temperature throughout and comfortable no matter how hot it may get (I am sure the winter heating will be the same).

We had a power outage in the area for about 2 hours. When the power came back on my AC unit would not power on. 2 Guys from the company showed up and performed a ton of tests. They were very thorough. It was a sunday and HOT so they did charge me for the emergency service call. They told me my thermsostat electronics was faulty and had a bad connection. They quoted me $300+ for a new one. I passed on that. They also gave me an overview of the AC's performance. Last the AC was really dirty so Im sure its been beat up. I had them tune it up. I think overall I spent $400 or so to have them get everything working. I also signed up for their service plan since I have been having constant problems with my AC. I havent had any problems since they tuned it up. The service plan is $17 a month and they come twice a year to do maintenance.

I had called John's on Friday before moving in to pay for and set up a maintenance contract. $179 for 2 services in the year, and a ton of extra perks! I moved into my new home on a Saturday, and the first night there my air conditioning went out! I called John's on Sunday, and Jared was out to my home within an hour. Jared diagnosed the problem, tried to find the part (unfortunately it had to be ordered), and was VERY curteous and professional. There was no charge for the inspection, and removal of the broken blower unit from my attic. I had a home warranty that I had forgotten about, and when I called them they said I would need to have a technician from their company look at the problem. Jared had pulled my blower motor out of the attic to fix the unit, and when I called back to John's to ask if he could put it back in, he said they would do it, and would only charge me the normal service charge for the extra work. As luck would have it when I tried to schedule an appointment with the Home Warranty Company they were over bookeed and authorized me to get my own service company. Needless to say, Jared didn't have to put the broken unit back in the attic. John's called on Monday to replace the broken unit, and to do the 1st of 2 service inspections. Everything was fixed to perfection, and Jared was more than patient with my many questions. This is a GREAT company that does not work on commission, so they won't try to oversell you on something you don't need.

As I said above generally it went well, but I believe the price was a bit high even after my senior discount.. They offer a maintenence agreement for $339 that provides some additional discount and two inspections a year and a leak test for $105, regular price is $120. I've had maintenence agreements before and they came with no service call charge, ever. maybe I'll shop around for another one.

The price you were quoted on the maintinance agreement was for two full years and 4 checkouts. Our maintinance customers also pay no service charge and get two pounds of refrigerant, as well as drain cleaning , and condenser coil washed each year. Please call us if you would like to sign up. Oh, and one year is $179.95 or you can pay monthly for $17.00."

Several weeks after installation, they made a follow up quality control visit and a subsequent visit to make an enhancement to the installation, all included in their price.

Whoever put it in this house to begin with did a horrible job, and John fixed it. I would give him an A+. With this being a new system, it filters the air as well and they have been very kind to come to the house to show me how to do it. They have explained it to me twice now and there have been no charges. Their customer service is excellent.

We use them regularly for check-ups. They are on time and come when they say they will. They are thorough and professional. They seem to know what they are doing. Their prices seem reasonable, but I am not sure. Their quality of work seems to be effective. I haven't had to call them back out.
