I hired Copper State Home Builders after a roof leak cause flood damage in my Master bathroom. A Nice gentleman came out by the name of Kyle. Who assessed the damage, and said they could demo the next day. They came back and demo’d my master bath, and took pictures of all damages for the insurance company. I was so impressed by how great Kyle was I asked him about other work I needed done at my house, if they would be able to do it as well, and I would pay them beyond the insurance payment. Kyle said they would do it and give me a fair rate for the addition work. I was excited to have 1 company able to take care of all the issues from the flood as well as the other modifications I needed done. A week pasted and I still had not heard from the reconstruction project manager. So I called in they said I would hear from them after they filed paper work for the roof and reconstruction of the master bath to my insurance. Then another week passed, they were still processing. Then 3 weeks passed. They sent out a guy that was supposed to be a project manager to walk me through the rebuild and discuss my options. They sent out a guy that didn’t speak any English, and the only thing he could say was “I take pictures.” Again I didn’t hear anything for a week. At this point I was done, my bathroom was down to studs, and I was paying to air condition my attic. Beau called me apologized for the issues and said they would send their best project manager to earn my business and he would discuss the project with me. He went on to say that I would be highly impressed with this gentleman as I was with Kyle. They sent him out and while he did speak English and was very nice. There was no discussion as to what they would be doing, or bathroom color we had picked out. No discussion of the additional work that I needed done. But (I don’t remember the guys name) he said we need to get the roof estimate in first and repair the roof before we could do anything in the bathroom. This guy made sense and was approaching the situation in my mind correctly. So, I figured we could always discuss the specifics of what I wanted done after the roof was done. Then another week passed, so I called in and asked if they need to send someone out to assess the roof, they said ‘no we have all we need with the pictures we already took.’ I was watching my insurance and nothing was file with them. I called the office and they said they would be filing it by the end of day. I waited another week still nothing. I received an email from Beau saying their normal roofing company was too busy to help and that he didn’t have any other companies available. He also stated that there was a lot of information missing from the estimate, and that Copper State didn’t have the correct software to do the estimate. It was up to me to find a roofer then they would come do the bathroom. Hold up?!? How did we go from we have everything we need, to, it’s up to you? So, I reply to him with that. Beau rudely tells me they are not a roofing company. If this is/was true then why did you represent your company as one that could do all aspects of the job? The whole time they wanted all money sent to me by my insurance. I am guessing with the poor service they provide that it would be to hold me into dealing with them. After roughly 2 months of my master bath being un-useable, I started reconstruction not through Copper State. I told Beau that the roof was completed and my bathroom was almost done. That I would send them the extremely over priced demo check and that we would be done. Beau had the audacity to tell me I was supposed to tell them when the roof was done so they could do the part of the job they wanted. Are you serious? I was supposed to contact you. How about I am a paying customer, pick up the phone and call me once in while. You had 2 months to earn the work. You chose to give me the run around. You chose to misrepresent your company. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with for home repairs. Their customer service is horrible and they are grossly overpriced. Be smart, find another company, having damage to your home is stressful enough, you don’t need to hire a company that you have to jump through hoops; so, you can pay them for their overpriced inferior services. ---I did do some reason on them, checked reviews online and they seem to be well rated. Now that I have dealt with them, I am noticing that some of their 5 star ratings are coming from people with the same names as some of their employees. A bit interesting. I do not know that they are actual employees but I can tell you some of their names match with employees I have dealt with.
