Susie and Kirk are simply the best. This story began a year ago when my wife and I first considering replacing our air conditioner simply because it was 18 yrs old. We decided not to, but were impressed by the reviews we read on Angie's list in regards to Croffoot A/C. Well, February 2014 arrives and we decide we cannot risk another summer on a system now approachin 20 years old. I ltterally renewed my Angies' list membership because I could not remeber the company whos reviews had impressed me so much. "Croffoot" thats it, I told my wife as I reached for my phone. Had a great conversation with Susie as she, patiently, took the time to explain another companies mass mail offer to me. Then she set up an appointment so Kirk could give us an estimate on installing a new system in our home. Kirk was prompt, courteous, thorough and patient. He answered all our questions, gave us a 3 tiered quote. (good, better, best) and promised to answer any questions that came up while we made a decision. After researching the bids from Kirk and twoo other companies, checking the reviews on the various equiptment being supplied, we chose a new Bryant system from Croffoot Heating and AC. Susie scheduled our installation for a Friday. Kirk and Matt were a little early, they were friendly, professional and skilled. It does not get any better than that. I manage a small business in Chandler, and nothing makes me feel better than to find a true "family run company" that I can use and recommend. Heat pump stopped working. It was a short that blew a fuse. Service was prompt and efficient. Great team from scheduling to repair.

I called on Saturday after discovering on this cold weekend that my heat pump was not heating well and that the condenser fan had stopped running. When I described the problem to the woman on the phone she was extremely pleasant, asked me some questions, and setup an appointment for Monday (I told her I was able to wait and it was not an emergency). I had a similar problem with this unit in the early summer and wanted to have another set of eyes on the problem to see what my alternatives were. Kirk was running late for my appointment, but they called me well ahead of time to warn me so that I didn't come home from work earlier than necessary. I wasn't in a hurry as long as he could make it before then end of the day. They called me 30 minutes before his arrival and he arrived right on the revised time. When I met him he was very friendly and answered all my questions in detail. He didn't rush his explanations or want me out of the way at all. I stayed with him for the entire service and he gave me a running narrative of what he was doing and why. He ended up adding Freon (which I expected) and getting everything working. Unlike my previous A/C guy, he didn't try to sell me anything and in fact put my fears to rest about replacement of the condenser fan and the leak. He advised me to have him come out again next spring when it is heating up and he would get the leak fixed. I had been very concerned with this leak because the previous vendor had advised me that it was probably in the foundation and that it would cost $500 to diagnose and then an undetermined number of thousands of dollars to re-route the lines. He didn't make any promises, but he felt confident that we can get it fixed for a couple of hundred dollars. No pressure, no sales, just a really confidence inspiring guy. Apparently the business is just him and his wife and a periodic helper on-call when needed. Despite it being a small operation, he had a very nice well equipped truck (not a van, not a pickup). This is a big plus because this means that I know who I'll be getting next time I give them a call. Highly recommended.

I contacted Kirk in the spring to check over our AC units to make sure things were working as they should. He did such a great job that I scheduled a check-up for our two gas furnaces. The units are 12 years old and I wanted to make sure everything was OK before turning them on for the winter. Kirk was thorough and professional. He actually vacuumed our attic space as well as the furnace units. In the past, we have had the annual check-up service done by the company that originally installed the units. Although they verified the units were OK to run, Kirk is the first one to carry a vacuum into our attic and do a thorough cleaning of the units and the surrounding area! I feel confident that I can stay warm this winter and be safe. In addition, Susie is absolutely wonderful - so courteous and friendly! I will definitely be using Croffoot for all my future HVAC needs.

WOW. WOW. WOW. What a great company! I called around 8:15 and at 10:30 had a working unit! From Susie who took the call to Kirk who came by - friendly, professional, prompt and just nice people! They don't try to sell you a new unit - they try to repair what they can to save you money. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Just simply an Awesome experience!! Called at 12.30PM for the issue with my heater not turning on and at 3.30 PM same day my heater was fixed for $100, I expected to get ripped off at some level like I did a year before by another vendor but Kirk was great. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. I will highly recommend the company for heater/AC needs.

I spoke with Susie who had Kirk come out to the home. It was late in the day. He was punctual, professional, personal and very informative. He diagnosed the problem, removed the fan showing us where the unit was worn and found out there was not enough time in the day to obtain a replacement fan from his supplier. He asked if we could get by without air conditioning until the following morning. Because we have 3 zones in our home and our bedroom was not impacted, we said certainly. Kirk returned first thing the next morning and replaced the fan. Everything worked great. He provided us with several other referrals and even called us back to follow up, making sure we reached his referrals and they provided the service he had promised. I highly recommend Kirk & Susie Croffoot for any HVAC work you need done. This was my first opportunity to use Angie's list and it worked as promised.

From Dealing with the President and co-owner Susie Croffoot, who was not only knowledgeable, but willing to educate us about an average price for the services and parts for this repair, we were able to see clearly their professionalism. What was promised is what we got, from the on time arrival to the finished job. Kirk Croffoot took care of our repair in about one hour, which you expect from a skilled professional with over 30 years of experience. He asked the right questions concerning the motor needed so he had it with him when he arrived and didn't have to run to the parts store increasing the time needed to complete the job. He checked to make sure all was operating as it should before he left. We rent so there was no confusion when it came to billing and they dealt with the homeowner directly. They could give lessons in professionalism. You will not be sorry using them.

He did a wonderful job. He is very knowledgable and conscientious. He explained what needed to be done and showed me on the AC unit where the issue was. It was late in the afternoon and the job was going to take some time as he needed to solder the large leak in the pipe. After the solder, he needed to allow the unit to cool down before replacing the freon. I asked him if he would like to go home and return the next morning to finish the job, as it was cool outside and I would be fine. His comment to me was no, he was not going home until he was finished because he wanted me to sleep well that night. Over the years I have had several companies service the unit with questionable results. I am so glad that I do not need to worry anymore as Croffoot Heating and Air Conditioning has my business from now on.

From the initial phone call to the service from Kirk when he showed up, the customer service was outstanding. Kirk was compassionate about our situation as we have a young one in the house. He diagnosed the problem then explained our options. He even showed us everything to explain what he was doing. Very easy to talk to and understand!

The Owner of Croffoot AC repair business responded within 3 to 4 hours of our "distress call." We had been without AC about 48 hours. He checked our AC unit outside which was ok. Attic fan had broken and even fallen out of place but was still trying to run. Could have been a real fire hazard. The owner was able to repair and reposition the fan although it is 21 years old plus. We judged the owner could have told us we needed a full replacement at a much higher cost. But he indicated he would try to keep the present AC unit working as long as practical. Saved us a lot of money. Now we can plan on a replacement of the entire system, which is really old, within our time schedule and be better financially prepared. The Owner was on time, gave thorough information about what was wrong with the AC, did not perform unnecessary repairs, did not overcharge, and was very professional. We will definitely use this service again and we were very pleased to find a business that we know we can trust to use in the future. We highly recommend.

Excellent! I am an absentee landlord and my tenants had called another company for a service call. The provider called me to get my permission to do about $500.00 worth of work on various items. I looked them up on Angie's list and they had a "c" rating. I told him I would find another provider. I then found Croffoot Heating and Air and spoke with Susie and told her of the proposed work from the previous provider, she also scheduled an appointment directly with the tenant, she called me to let me know the findings (different and less expensive than the previous provider). The work was done and at a fair price. I will DEFINITELY use them again............and again...........and again!

Kirk did an excellent job. He and Susie work so well together. Susie took my call promptly on Sunday and Kirk was out to repair the same day. Excellent responsiveness and both of them are very well-informed about air conditioners. The cost for the repair was very reasonable, and I appreciate their honesty in this business. I had another positive experience with them earlier in the year at a rental unit. Another A/C company had inspected that unit, charged me over $400 to simply charge the A/C unit with refrigerant and told me I needed a new unit at $1,000s. Kirk went out the next day (5/13/13) and fixed the unit for under $250. It is still running fine as of this writing. It is often hard to find honest, hard-working folks in the service industry and Kirk and Susie are two of them. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. Thanks Kirk and Susie. Called Croffort and talked to Susie on Monday, late-afternoon about repairing one of two Air Conditioning units that had quit operating. She tried to work in a late service call but Kirk was in the middle of another job. Susie set up an early morning next-day appointment for 9:15 - 9:30. Kirk was very prompt, he arrived arrived within a minute of the 9:15 appointed time. His manner was very professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective part and returned the system to operation. When asked questions about the digital thermostat, he took the time to go through all of the programming features and set-up scenarios, so I felt completely comfortable with it's operation. Total time on-site was a little less than an hour. We are totally satisfied with the experience. Croffort is definitely our Air Conditioning service provider from now on and would recommend them to all.

We had Kirk out twice in April. Our AC wasn't working so we called Croffoot. Kirk showed up on-time, quickly diagnosed the problem, got approval for repairs, and fixed the problem. He also give us an estimate on moving a thermostat to a different location. We had never been able to even get an estimate for moving the thermostat from any of the big firms we have used in the past. Anyway, we setup the appointment, Kirk showed up on time, quickly got to work and moved the thermostat, cleaned up the mess and was on his way. We were very pleased with the high quality of service we received on both appointments.

We have had Kirk out to our house twice in the past to to routine maintenance on both our heater and air conditioner. He has always been punctual, pleasant, and done honest work at a very reasonable price. So when our air conditioner stopped working on Sunday evening Croffoot was my first call. I initially left a message and continued to call other providers listed on Angies List. I was only able to find one other service provider that was willing to come to Maricopa on Sunday night and they wanted to charge an additional $175 on top of their regular service call/ repair fee. It was an urgent issue because it was 104+ degrees outside and our toddler son was running a high fever. Luckily Susie with Croffoot called back and after I explained the situation and that my husband and I were pondering getting a hotel room for the night, Kirk agreed to come and see if he could fix our A/C. He and Susie arrived approximately 40 min later. Kirk (while Susie held a flash light) was able to fix the problem in about 15 min. We were only charged a routine service call/ parts fee. We tried to offer Kirk a tip for coming out to our house on a Sunday night and he declined to take it, stating that it was not necessary. Kirk and Susie at Croffoot truly provided the absolute best service my husband and I have ever experienced. We are so lucky to have found Croffoot on Angie's List! They will always be our first call and we will recommend them to everyone we know in the area!

I had been out-of-state for 10 days, and returned late on Thurs. evening to find the temp. in my house was well over 99 degrees. The thermometer on the thermostat was as far over as it could register. I tried a number of things to get it going, but nothing helped. After consulting Angie's List, I called Croffoot Heating & Air Conditioning as soon as they opened the next morning. Susie, the owner's wife, was so upbeat and kind, and she assured me her husband would get out to my home within a few hours. She set a time, and called me later to give me a head's up confirming that he was on his way. Mr. Croffoot was punctual, and got right to work. After going up into my attic and assessing the problem, he told me that I needed a new electronic panel. ( My home's a.c. is original to the house which was built in '99. (Carrier brand), so I had been concerned that I'd need an entirely new a.c. unit..) Mr. Croffoot that he would come back as soon as he could get the new panel, and in the meantime he got the a.c. running again to cool off my house. He said I'd be able to adjust the temperature on the thermostat, and the fan would run while the a.c. was both on and off. The house cooled off and, thankfully, all was well throughout the weekend.. I got a call from Susie the following Monday to set up a time for her husband to come and replace the electronic panel. He completed the work, and I paid with my Visa card. By the way, because I found Croffoot Heating and Air Conditioning on Angie's List, I received a 10% discount from Croffoot on the cost of the job!! (It says so on Angie's List, but I think I was so frazzled by the heat when I looked it up I didn't notice!) I can't say enough good things about Croffoot Heating and Air Conditioning. Right from the start, Susie just couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Mr. Croffoot was on time both days he came to my home, and, like Susie, was personable, upbeat, and professional. It's wonderful to have repairs done by an expert I can trust to come into my home, and do a great job at a very fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to call Croffoot again, or to recommend them, and I've been singing the company's praises to my neighbors and co-workers. I came home on mother?s day Sunday, late in the evening to find out that my air conditioner had gone out. I asked around for a few referrals before turning to angles list. I had called a couple of places who I was told would have people on call but no one answered my call. I then called Croffoot and Susie answered the phone. She explained that Kirk was out on call and wouldn't be able to get to me. She explained that if I was able to wait she would squeeze me in first thing in the morning. I said I appreciated that but wanted to check with some other providers in case someone was able to service me that same night. What impressed me most is that for most people the call would have stopped there. However, in this case Susie said she understood and then instructed me on how to turn on the internal fan for my air conditioning so that if no one was able to come out that night the house wouldn?t become too stuffy. It?s that little extra effort that later made me call Croffoot back and decide to use their service. The next Morning Kirk arrived right on time, he was very friendly and personable and he just came across as a real genuine person. I knew what had to be repaired on my air conditioning unit and it was refreshing when after inspecting the unit, Kirks findings were identical to my own. There was no upselling, no pressure, and I honestly felt like he had my best interest at heart. Even my girlfriend who initially met him at the door and spoke with him mentioned how he struck her as a ?nice man?. I would have to say I agree. In a world and particularly in an industry where the consumer is vulnerable and the saying caveat emptor particularly so, Kirk is one of the good guys. People forget that the service industry is all about serving people and Kirk seems to have a real servants heart. It is for that reason that a few weeks later I decided to have him do a tune up on my air conditioner which I hadn?t done in years. There was no question that It was badly needed but I was more than happy to give Kirk my business and I will and have gladly referred him to others.

Kirk and Susie are fabulous! Susie is super friendly and makes sure Kirk has the information he needs to do the job. Kirk knows what he is doing and will work with you to find the best solution at the best price. One of our AC units was not cooling properly. A test showed that the unit was 2 pounds low on freon. Kirk said it is a slow leak and he would recommend the easy seal and adding the 2 pounds of replacement freon. Our units are 11.5 years old and Kirk said this should do the trick to keep us from spending a lot of money on the unit that will most likely need to be replaced in a few years. Absolutely delighted with their service! I will have Kirk back out in the fall to check my furnaces before the winter season starts and back out in the spring to check the AC units BEFORE the summer heat hits next year.

Great arrived on time. Courteous, professional. Made helpful suggestions. I think the Croffoot Maintenance Plan is going to save me lots of money and aggravation.

I've actually had Croffoot out twice. Both times he was quick, let me know the cheapest repair possible without trying to upsell me some service plan or a whole new unit. Labor was reasonable, parts were a little expensive but hey, I have no idea what the market is for AC parts. Would definitely use him again.

Kirk was on the ball immediately! I have never worked with such a GREAT technician! Suzie is awesome too! They fit me in today, between appointments because Kirk finished a job earlier than they expected. I am so grateful! I wish there was a rating higher than A! I want to give Kirk and A+! There, I just did! I am blown away. I joined Angie's List this morning because my AC went out last night . Joining is the first thing I did and then I began using Angie's List. I am beyond impressed! I am so grateful!

I REALLY wanted to give them a high review, Kirk was very friendly and they got out sooner than expected. However there were a few things that rubbed me the wrong way. I have known that my AC unit over the course of a few years needs to be topped off and must have a small leak, Kirk recommended a product to seal the leak, I asked how much it cost $120 was what I was told. So I wanted to know about what that would come to if I opted to have that done as well. So he did a few calculations and said you would be at about $270, after some thought I asked him frankly if it was worth having the "seal" done for $120. He said yes definitely. I said ok do it. The "easy seal" is simply a small can you hook up to your line and done...Cost of the actual product is around $50 (on Amazon) and the time it took to use it was maybe 10 minutes, I still think that $128 is pretty high markup/labor charges but for those of you that don't have the tools and gauges(almost everyone) it is what it is. *There was originally an issued with price from what I was quoted to what eventually showed up on the invoice, however that was resolved my Mrs. Croffoot who was also very nice and professional.
