Overall a positive experience. The downtown location is walking distance from my office. I have been able to drop my vehicle off, and was ready when promised. The price I paid is comporable to other places I have tried including the dealer. Would defintely use again and plan to buy tires from them in the future.

I'm very happy with the work and the price of the work I had done.; I have also used them for shocks and tires.

I have a Lexus and I ended up having it towed to them. This was the first time I needed so much work done. They take time to come out and talk to you. They don't make you feel uncomfortable. They are very nice people. my car stopped on me and I had it towed there. I've been using them for 2 years I think.

The gentleman did not explain that and quot;checkingand quot; the u-joints involved completely taking the axles apart. When he gave us the quote, we decided not to have Discount do the repair, partly because it seemed high, and partly because we did not really believe the U Joints needed replacing. Then I was told they would have to put the truck back together before I could take it home. This took about 3 more hours.
The truck behaved even worse after I got it back from them than when I took it in to be checked. We took it to Landers Ford for a second opinion and they said the U Joints did not need replacing, but that the grease was leaking badly from them, presumably because Discount had taken them apart and then not put them back together properly.
My boyfriend spoke with the owner of Discount about having the repairs done for free and he agreed. But when we took the truck in, they only did the front U joints, even though they claimed initially that all the U joints had needed to be replaced. They backpedaled and said only the front ones were now bad.
I really loved using Discount Tire before this, because they are right across the street from where I work, and I had nothing but good experiences up to this point with them handling oil changes and tire replacement. I always recommended them to everyone and I felt like they took really good care of me.
But now every time I go over there, they tell me there is some other repair needed on my car besides oil changes and tires. They always quote those repairs high, and they are always something weird, like totally replacing the rack and pinion on my Saturn L200 because one of the wheels made a clicking noise. (A noise I'm pretty sure what caused by a CV Joint, not the Rack and Pinion. ) Whenever I get a second opinion, I am told that what Discount recommended is not needed.
I will no longer do business with them. I also warn everyone I talk to that they should only have their oil changes and tires dones there. I have even had bad experiences with them doing brakes, which they are supposedly good at. I am very sad to have lost this resource. I was very convenient for me.

I called them the week before to get an estimate for shocks for my truck. They said they would call back within the hour with the information. The following week I called back and asked again and mentioned that I had called earlier. They were very apologetic and put me on hold to look it up right then. While I was waiting the owner, who had overheard the conversation, got on the line and also apologized for not getting back to me. He also said I could find coupons on their website for a discount if I decided to use them.
I brought the truck in for the work and it took several hours, but over an hour of that was waiting on the shocks to be delivered. Once they had them it didn't take long to actually replace them.
I was happy with the work done and impressed by the caring and friendliness of the staff.

I hate sitting in waiting rooms all day that is why I take my vehicles to discount tire and brake for all my service work. They always get the job fast and I feel confident of the quality of work they perform. Their prices are good and the workers seem very knowledgeable.

I thought I needed an expensive brake job, but they were honest enough to let me know we didn't need it yet! Just fixed what needed to be fixed and I will definitely go back to them next time I am worried about my brakes!!!
