A couple of weeks ago we went into Lowes in Bryant and ordered new floor for the bathroom. We were told they were running an install special for $3.68 per sq ft. The installer came out last Friday to measure. Before he left I asked how many sq ft he got and he told me 30. After he left I remeasured and got 24 sq ft. Lowes called us yesterday to come in and look at the quote for the job. Based on the info they gave me prior my figures came roughly to $150.00 for the whole job including materials. When we got there they quoted us $287.26 for the job. Much to our surprise we advised them that this could not be correct. They showed us the break down. First the installed wrote 33 sq ft, not the 30 he told me so I advised the Lowes floor department that I got 24 sq ft and that was rounded up. 2nd we were told that only one thing of grout would be needed because it would cover 50 sq ft and the quote had 2 containers of grout listed. 3rd there was a $68.00 up charge because the sq ft was under 200. We were not informed of any kind of up charge. Finally the $35.00 deposit we paid had not been deducted from the price. Oh, and also the installer would not remove the old floor. He told me I would have to do this myself. After spending an hour arguing with the floor department and getting attitude from them we were able to get the price reduced down to $150.00. I felt as though they were trying to pad the bill. I will probably not use this Lowes again.

I use Lowe's all the time for different things. Their selection stood out to me because they had merchandise that nobody else had. All the staff at Lowe's are excellent.

They are better set up and pretty well organized. I ordered my products online and picked all the trim up there and it went pretty good. I am satisfied with their service.

It is a nice store - lots of stuff and fun to look at Christmas decorations, housewares, etc. I got what I needed quickly with the help of sales people directing me - they all seem to know where stuff is, which is nice in such a large store. One older black guy - wish I had written down his name, maybe Jim -- really went out of his way to help - I had bought single filters of each size based on the wrong price because I had read the wrong sign, and he led me to the desk to exchange them and went back to get the alternate. He got a phone call or walkie-talkie call while he was helping me and told them he was with a customer and would call them back (making me the priority - good service, and appreciated!). The store isn't as close to my home as some competitors, but it is near my hairdresser's, so I think I will try and go in there more often when I am out that way.

He arrived and began working on them. He was done with both doors in just a few hours. I am pleased with Lowes and how supportive they were with me. I recommend them.
