We had an on going problem with the way the ceiling fans in. There was steam and odor passing through to both bathrooms. We resolved it by needing to put two exhausts out to the roof. I payed for the parts and they took care of the rest. They have done a lot of work here at my house and only once did they try to charge me for drilling though a brick wall. I told him he was not going to do the job because he was not charging me fair. They came back and were better about it and they always have been willing to work with me. Last visit I only payed for the electrical switch and the box on the roof. They did really good that day.

Overall the quality of workmanship was outstanding. The knowledge of the tech was outstanding. Given the rising cost of R-22 refrigerant and the number of hours he spent working the price was more than reasonable.
Description of Work: The contractor repaired my hvac system. I had several other contractors in the area out to repair the unit and they all told me I needed a new system. Obviously this would have cost me about five times the price that I paid to repair it. Justin advised me that the line sets that were installed on my unit were incorrect when it was put in. The suction and return line tubing size was too small for the system to operate properly. Additionally the unit drain line was completely clogged. He spent approximately six hours repairing my system. He replaced both line sets, installed a new drain line, he evacuated the entire system, installed new refrigerant and compressor oil, and he did many other things to fix my system. He repaired several major air leaks and cleaned both the evaporator coil and the condenser coils. he also repaired the condenser fan by shortening the motor shaft and increasing the fan motor speed. I highly recommend this contractor to others in this area. Honest, fair, and timely.

After two years of operation we remain completely satisfied with the work performed by Conditioned Air Solutions. The system has performed flawlessly and we would certainly use this company again. If you want the cheapest price then Conditioned Air may not be your first choice. But, if you value extras like a highly professional staff with proper tools and equipment and a 10 year parts and labor warranty you should definitely consider this company.

They worked okay until it came time to get repairs done, and then they were both pricey and inconsistent. They damaged and were incomplete. They told me I needed a part that failed and it was going to be like $2500, and that was when I started looking into other pieces and there was an air leak in one of the compressors. I opted not to have that repair done. They were really professional when they were out here, but the service itself sometimes has been questionable that some repairs would come up later. I would probably not use them in the future.

Response from Conditioned Air Solutions LLC
We always appreciate candid feedback on our service. We would like to clarify a few issues that this client mentions in his report. The client's system was barely within warranty in July 2011 when we diagnosed the system with a refrigerant leak. It is our professional responsibility to identify leaks and repair them. We added dye to the system and it took some time, but we found that the leak was in the evaporator coil. Because we had documented the leak just within the time frame of the warranty, we worked with Carrier to secure a warranty replacement coil for him, normally a very expensive part to replace. In fact, when the coil goes out, many customers decide to replace the unit. To install an evaporator coil properly take considerable time and skill, it is one of the most complicated repairs. We quoted the client the warranty price of $1262 to replace the coil and get the unit running and we also gave him some options for replacing the unit. There are many companies that will simply pump refrigerant into a system and call that fixed, but that is not the way we choose to do business. As he points out, all the service technicians we sent to his home were professional. Sometimes we bear the burden of simply being the bearers of bad news—nobody wants to hear that an expensive repair is needed to fix their system. We were upfront with him with both the issue and the our pricing to properly repair the system, and we worked hard to secure warranty parts at the edge of the warranty time frame.

Greg was on time for the estimate. He brought material to the house to explain every option. He did not try to push me in one direction or the other. Over the next couple of days, he answered all my questions via telephone. The installation team showed up at the appointed date/time. No one entered the house without covers for their shoes/boots. Knowledgeable men who explained what they were going to do and then did it. They even told me when they were going to lunch so I didn't worry if they had left for the day. Last person on the site was their service representative who did the fine tuning of the system. Service rep even had a payment app on his iPhone to complete the payment. No do's or don'ts here - once you select the system you want, the team will complete everything in a professional manner. Greg Dubroca stopped by during the installation to ensure everything was going according to plan. He even brought a goodie basket for us! Angie's List rules!! This company knows that every service or installation will be rated on Angie's List and they strive to make it perfect.
Description of Work: I selected Conditioned Air Solutions from Angies List and was very happy with their service. I needed a larger HVAC to service my second floor and a bonus room over the garage. I asked Greg Dubroca for options from least expensive to an over the top solution. His options ranged from add-on Mitsubishi HVAC at $2700 to an excellent, high efficiency (SEER 21) HVAC at $13,000. I selected an American Standard brand solution that increased the tonnage and gave me a more efficient HVAC. Do ask for options - always! Angies List showed Conditioned Air Solutions as expensive, but if you ask for options, you have more control over the total cost.

Service was excellent. Gary did a wonderful job and we were warm sooner than we thought. Calling in was easy and everyone we spoke with was polite and professional. The service call went very smooth. The nice thing was that they also called to let us know that they were on their way to the house and we were informed during every step of the process.
Description of Work: The week we are having the coldest weather and the heat goes out. Called several places since it was just around closing time two others would not service the heating until the next day. This company did and they were here within the hour and had the heat full functioning within a couple of hours. Several parts need replacing and Gary did a fanatstic job. He had quite a time finding one of the parts but he got the job done!

The technicians from Conditioned Air are top notch. They fixed the problems with my A/C unit quickly and after another repair company could not. I had gone through months of headaches with another company trying to get my A/C unit to work right. Eventually I found Conditioned Air. He came out and opened the unit and was able to find the problem even though the previous company had royally screwed up the wiring. He fixed my A/C unit and had me up and running in about 30 minutes and I have not had a problem since. I will not let anyone touch my air conditioner but Conditioned Air Solutions. Highly Recommend!!!!

Conditioned Air came out and gave us a very detailed description of the situation (re-venting our crawl space furnace). They took photos and included them in their proposal along with giving us several options to choose from. Once we decided to get a new furnace and replace some of our duct work along with a new furnace vent, they told us it would be two days before they could come out. In the meantime they offered us space heaters - turns out we didn't need them, since they showed up a day early! They were here from 9am to 7pm and didn't leave until we had hot water, a warm house, and they had checked all burners on the stove. When they came inside, they always covered their shoes, and one of the technicians even borrowed my vacuum to clean up some dust he caused downstairs. Without being asked, they relit the pilot light on our water heater! Overall they were very clean, conscientious, and thorough. And they never varied from the original quote. No hidden fees!
Description of Work: We found out our furnace was venting improperly, resulting in carbon monixide pooling under our house. One company told us they wouldn't do anything about it, but conditioned air explained that we could pay for a new pipe to come through the brick wall of the crawl space and then up to the roof, or we could buy a new furnace which only needed to be vented with PVC. We chose a new furnace with less structural impact on our house.

Great! The installation went very smoothly. The gentlemen who handled the installation were very professional and answered our questions without hesitation. Took as much time as was needed to explain how the new system works. They have since been back to inspect and have continued to be very professional and helpful. I would recommend Condition Air Solutions to anyone without reservation.

Prior to the installation, the sales engineer went through a number of options to replace a faulty A/C system (inside and outside units). The price was reasonable and included several discounts as well as a waive of a short-term service fee from an emergency repair a week earlier. The installation went very smoothly, the installation team were professional, thorough and polite. The work also included building a walkway in the attic to the unit and adding an electrical breaker to bring the installation up to code. The new system is a lot quieter and cheaper running than the previous one and came with a 10 year warranty as well as a one-year preventative service agreement. All contact I've had with the company has been professional and appointments have always been made on time.

Two brothers came and worked in the extreme heat for two days. They ripped out all the old ductwork and the old furnace, and hauled off all the materials. They installed the new trunkline, the new ductwork, the new furnace, and the new return. My attic was transformed from a hodgepodge mess of overlapping black ducts to a sleek arrangement of metal ducts. Just looking at it, it appears orderly and efficient. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the brothers, both their demeanor and their work. By the end of the second day, the HVAC was ready to be tested. It worked like a champ! A violent electrical hailstorm disrupted their work for the rest of the afternoon. The next morning they completed the installation of the new return, and the re-wiring of the outside unit. They were done before noon, and I was left with a house that was rapidly cooling. Before long, the house was cool and comfortable for the first time all summer. One side-effect that I hadn't anticipated, was how quiet my house became. The unit no longer ran day and night. Instead, it would activate, run for a few minutes, and shut off. I had heard once that this was how an optimal HVAC system would work, but had never experienced it. It is true! I am thrilled that I was finally provided with both an explanation and a true solution of my HVAC problem. I have complete confidence that the problem has been solved. My utilities bills are indeed lower, and I am quite comfortable in my house. I have used the furnace now that the weather has become cooler, and it works like a champ. The unit activates, runs for a few minutes, then shuts off. I highly recommend Conditioned Air Solutions. Their name says it all, and their work lives up to their name.
Description of Work: This summer my 3 year old HVAC unit kept freezing up. This was the second summer in a row the new unit had failed to work well. Despite the blistering and humid heat, I was having to run the house fan to unfreeze the coils. My house never got below 80 degrees, and often was upward to 90 degrees. My messages to the company that had installed it went unanswered. In desperation, I decided to look at Angie's List for highly rated companies. The first one I called did answer, but were swamped and unable to help for at least 3 days. The next one I called was Conditioned Air Solutions. They were at my house within an hour. Once at my house, the serviceman checked the coolant levels, unfroze the coils, and inspected the unit. Then he brought me up to the attic to show me the starting point for the issue with the new unit. When it had been installed three years ago, the previous company had not used a fitting to connect the new unit to the existing furnace. Instead, they had shoved the new unit into the end of the furnace (which provides the blower) and then duct taped insulation around the opening. That duct tape had long ago stopped working, and cold air was blowing out of the gap between the unit and the furnace. Further, the pressure to the trunkline was compromised at that point. The serviceman was astonished at the poor quality of the previous installation. I'm sure I was the face of fury. No wonder my heating and cooling bills were outrageous, despite feeling cold in the winter and hot in the summer! He scheduled a Conditioned Air Solutions specialist to come the next day to determine a solution for my HVAC. The specialist arrived on schedule, inspected my attic, and prepared a list of recommendations. When he spoke to me, he started with "I don't know how begin to tell you what is wrong with your HVAC." I told him I needed to know - I have done so many things to try to lower my bills in the 10 years I've lived in this (now) 18 year old house. I've replaced all the windows (which helped some) and added insulation in the attic (which helped some) and replaced the A/C unit (which helped some). Yet despite all my changes, my utility bills were always high and my comfort level was never satisfactory. What I needed was a true solution !! But I didn't have the expertise to understand how to fix the HVAC. Well, Conditioned Air Conditions had the explanation for the overall problem. First, there was the obvious problem with the gap caused by the (square furnace to round) missing fitting. But beyond that, he explained that the new unit was oversized for the furnace, and that it should have been brought to my attention 3 years ago. (Trust me, it wasn't) Because of the mismatch, the blower would never be able to provide sufficient cooling for my house. Then he explained that the trunkline was made of a type of material (akin to particle board) that insulated poorly. Next he explained that the black plastic (think Hefty bags material) ducts that came off the trunkline were ducts that were rated for crawlspace, and not an open attic, and again, they had a poor insulation factor. Third, there had been a last minute additional bonus room added over the garage when the house was built. That 500 sq ft room had no return, and furthermore, the ducts to it were added to the front of the trunkline, which disrupted the overall flow of air to the rest of the house. Finally, he explained that the overall placement of the ducts along the trunkline were not optimal for efficiency. He recommended replacing the furnace, the trunkline and all of the black ducts and replacing them with a properly sized furnace, a metal trunkline, and metal ducts. Also they would add a return to the bonus room. The only items they would keep were the 3 yr old A/C unit, and a handful of large silver, slinky-like ducts that he explained were the correct size and material for the attic. Last but not least, they would design the placement of the ducts off the main trunkline for optimal efficiency. Additionally, they had noticed that the wires to the 3 yr old outside unit had been spliced and wrapped with electrical tape, posing a real risk of electrical shock. They would wire it properly. It wasn't going to be cheap ($9500), but it was going to solve my HVAC problem. I felt like I was finally being presented with an explanation, and a solution for making my house comfortable in the summer and the winter, and for lowering my utility bills. I accepted their proposal, and they started working first thing the next morning.

We found Conditioned Air Solutions to be an A+ company. Beginning with a very knowledable sales person, not pushy, but stayed in contact to ensure all questions were covered - he even came by during installation to ensure the install team was taking care of everything he had told us his company would handle. The install team was outstanding - once onsite they went to work to ensure the project was completed in a timely manner. And, it was! The service tech came by to check on the install and to ensure we understood how to operate the new contols - before leaving he took the time to verify the serial numbers on the sytem were correct on our warranty papers. We were prepared for a bit of a mess but there was none every person that entered our home used shoe covers. The one room that had to have a new return air cut was vaccumed. The yard was completely picked up every afternoon. Each and every employee that was associated with this project presented himself in a professional/friendly manner.

This company did everything right. The woman that answered the phone was friendly, professional and explained that there would be a $79.00 diagnostic service charge that I agreed to. We set up an appointment. The tech called to let me know that he was coming and he arrived on time. He was friendly and professional. Although his shoes were not the least bit dirty, he would not walk through the house without covering his shoes which I find respectful. He looked over everything came back to me with a full written report and showed me the pricing that was previously determined in his pricing binder. In other words, I didn't feel like he was just making up numbers off the top of his head. It was $192.00 and I used a $10 Angies List coupon and he happily accepted that. He told me about a service plan that I was not interested in at this time. He replaced the capacitor in a timely manner. I paid him and he gave me a receipt. This was an extremely easy and noneventful service call which is just how I like it.

I spent $505 on that work. They did a very good job and they came out very quickly. We really appreciate your feedback! We like to think that we take extra special care of our Service Partner Plan members and what we are hearing from you is that we need to communicate a little better. You signed up with the Service Partner Plan in late July, well into the cooling season. For most customers who sign up in the dog days of summer, the first maintenance service we perform will be the heating maintenance in the fall, somewhere between September and November. We will be calling you soon to schedule that service. You also get a plumbing and electrical inspection with the plan, some time in the next year. We try not to inundate customers with calls right out of the gate, but spread our visits out, giving you a chance to think about what you might need to have done around your home. We do have you on our list of customers to schedule this fall. If you have any issues you need us to address before then, give us a call and we'll come right out. We'll see you soon! Thanks for the giving us a review on Angie's List.

I noticed my air handler's secondary drain pan was halfway filled with water, so I called and scheduled an appointment for a technician to come diagnose the problem. The technician called to let me know he was on his way to my home and initially parked at the street until he had asked whether I minded if he parked in the driveway. Before entering my home, he covered his shoes to avoid tracking dirt inside. After inspecting the compressor and air handler, he took me up to the attic to show me the problem and his recommendation. Before performing any of the work, he provided me with a quote and also offered the maintenance plan without putting any pressure on me to purchase it. I ended up purchasing the maintenance plan for an additional $149 that took 15% off the work he was to perform that day. He was very thorough, articulate, and objective. I was very impressed and plan to recommend Conditioned Air Solutions to anyone who is looking for someone to service their HVAC system.
Description of Work: The technician unclogged the air handler's primary drain line and properly sealed the connection between the main duct and the air handler.

When the same tech came back in two weeks he spent two hours looking for the leak. I said I think you're looking at the wrong unit. He checked his notes and said he was checking the right unit. We had a brief debate after which he said he would check the second unit. He found the leak as soon as he opened the right cover. The company salesman called back and gave us pricing for repair and wanted to discuss replacing the unit - when would my husband be available to discuss it with him?? He then called everyday for four days. We returned his call and said we were thinking about what we wanted to do, we would call them back when we decided. He started calling everyday again, asking for my husband. We are still thinking about what we want to do.
Description of Work: I called for service on an a/c unit that was not cooling. They sold us a maintenance agreement and performed a complete maintenance check. We had to remind the tech that the a/c unit was not cooling. He added coolant and said he would be back to check for leaks in two weeks.

Response from Conditioned Air Solutions LLC
Thank you for this valuable feedback! Your criticism of our service provides us with a very tangible way to coach and train our employees; and in this case, helped up make an important personnel decision. We take customer service very, very seriously. We task all our employees to do whatever necessary to make good things happen for the customer. The salesperson who called you, Todd, knew you had a leak and was trying to get you taken care of and provide you with the best options. In our experience, unless both decision makers are home, it is hard to have a viable discussion about replacement options. That is why he was pushing on when your husband might be home. We apologize if he was a little too tenacious, but he had you on a list of customers that needed an issue resolved. From our standpoint, he was trying to make something good happen! We've reviewed your history with both the technician and the salesperson and discussed in-depth how to do things better next time. You say you haven't decided what to do about your leaking indoor coil. We hope you will give us the opportunity to discuss replacement or repair. And we would be sending a different technician to your home next time.

They are always very professional and punctual. They wear disposable booties while in the house to protect your floors. They are not the cheapest plumber in town, but lining here fro more than 20 years I have used a number of plumbers and these guys are a cut above in terms of trust (doing what they say they are going to do) and quality. - Recommended.
Description of Work: Greenway has done several jobs for us. They have repaired a broken water line in the front yard, replaced a shower faucet, and replaced a hose bib. I know they also do gas piping, which many plumbers do not have credentials to do.
