He was candid and professional. Told us that the soot accumulation at the lowest level of the flue did not need to cleaned out and would not interfere with our furnace operation. Told us that we were starting to get deterioration of the flue lining and would need to have that replaced in the next few years.

WE CALLED TO HAVE OUR 42 YEAR OLD CHIMNEY INSPECTED. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THE CHIMNEY WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. HE SUGGESTED PUTTING A CAP ON THE CHIMNEY AND WE AGREED TO HAVE THAT DONE. HE ALSO FINISHED UP SOME MINOR FURNACE WORK THAT OUR FURNACE INSTALLER LEFT UNDONE. THE TECHNICIAN WAS RIGHT ON TIME AND COMPLETED HIS WORK IN AN EFFICIENT MANNER. IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

Jeff was outstanding. He arrived in the time frame given. I bought a house recently that had an older style gas fireplace inside and was not sure how it worked properly. Jeff gave me great suggestions and was very professional!! I will recommend him to friends and will use him in the future if needed.

I have used WCT in the past, and they did excellent work. After 2 years, I called them again to clean my fire place. The technician asked me how often I use the fire place, looked it over, and said I should be good for another year. He also looked at the open and close valve, which had broken earlier in the year, and which we repaired ourselves. He said the repair job was well done, and I wouldn't need a replacement. He cleaned the fire place, and then left. All free of charge!

The service person arrived on time and immediately went to work. This company has a brilliant service package that provides instant analysis of whatever problems might exist. I was sent an email before the service tech left my residence complete with pictures and complete description of the problems with my chimney and the service work I would need. Clean up was perfect after the job was complete and all my questions were answered.

We will go the gutter-route to see if that corrects the problem. But dealing with Jeff was a relief!

Wisconsin Chimney Technicians failed to appear for their scheduled service to our wood stove (cleaning and inspection service). They provided me a 2-hr block of time, we never received a phone call, email, text, mail, etc. about cancellation.

Had requested 3 fireplaces cleaned by Wisconsin chimney. Jim arrived almost an hour late and when he found out that there are 3 fireplaces, he frantically called the office and requested back up. Fortunately for us Jeff (the owner) showed up to help. He examined the basement fireplace and gave an honest assessment and said that they dont need to be cleaned. Jim on the other hand was not the same. He examined our living room fireplace by camera and found a small breech in the liner and stated that before proceeding further, we need a new liner. He also say the chimney which had two flues in it (one from master bedroom fireplace and another from living room fireplace) and stated that we need a custom cap for it. He collected the payment for the cleaning and aid he will email me the estimate for the liner and caps. About 10 days pass and I didnt hear back from him. I called their office and within 3-4 hrs he mailed me the estimate. To my utter surprise, the cost of the liner was $6500 (stainless steel) and $850 for the chimney cap. I had two other angieslist chimney contractors examine the fireplaces (smokestacks and quality fireplace) and their estimate was $3200 (stainless steel liner+ cap) and $3400. I cant believe wisconsin chimney quoted almost $3500 more than the nearest competitor !!! Anyway even after the official inspection report was done, the other contractors found that my fireplace wall needs to be redone rather than just tuckpointing (as mentioned by wisconsin chimney) which was a total surprise.

When I called to get a phone bid on the work that needed to be done, the office employee told me that it would be impossible to give a bid over the phone, but the technician could come out and do a free estimate. Other places had given a price range over the phone, but she didn't even want to give a range. She said she would have the technician call me to set up a day and time to do the free estimate. She said I could expect a call from him that day, which was a Friday, or on Monday. I didn't hear back on Friday and placed another call on Monday. The office person didn't seem to remember my earlier call and took down all my information again. This time Jeff called back right away and we made an appointment for him to come the next day. He arrived very promptly, took a look at the two jobs and gave us a very reasonable bid. We asked him if he had the time to do the work right then and there, and he did. He made a quick trip back to his office to get what he needed, returned promptly, and did the work. He was very pleasant, worked very efficiently, and we were very happy with the results and the fee. We would definitely recommend him to others and hire him again ourselves. The amount we were charged for this job was $300 less than the lowest estimate I'd gotten from other companies when I was seeking estimated cost information over the phone.

Overal the job went very well. Jeff is not the type to put pressure on anyone for the sale. The office crew didn't seem to be on the same page with Jeff. Several times there was confusion beyween what Jeff had told me and how the office staff followed up. The installation crew was very good and answered all my questions. Everything was clean and in excellent condition when they finished.

I am very satisified. They were on time and worked efficiently.

The experience was a good one from the first call to work completion. The technician was on time and noted that the cap outside was getting old and starting to rust, but also said that it didn't require replacement immediately. We had a crack on the backwall of the factory built fireplace that he looked at for us and recommendedthis be replaced prior to use. He gave me an estimate, but did not do a hard sell which I appreciated. We made some other calls and ended up calling them back to do the additional work which costed $405. This seems expensive for the amount of work that was done, however it was a comparable price with other companies that we talked to. Overall a good company that we would use again.

I got an estimate to put a new gas fire place but they said that I needed to clean the chimney first. The company recommended Wisconsin Chimney Technicians. When they came out to do the cleaning they discovered the cracked flue tiles. He stopped cleaning the chimney because he felt it was not worth paying him for cleaning the chimney because it has to be repaired. I appreciate that honesty, somebody else might have come out and cleaned it and said that they have seen the cracks and charged me for the cleaning. But he stopped, and just charged me for the trip charge for coming out. It would have been $280 for cleaning the chimney but he charged me only $150. The technician (Jim) was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about my old fire place and how it was built and what was going on with it. Generally Jim was like an encyclopedia of chimney information. Price wise I had never had it cleaned so I do not know if the $280 was high or low. But the fire place company that I was working with said it was who they recommended. We contacted the insurance company because they thought we had a chimney fire that cracked them and we just got the claim settled, they approved the repairs. I approved the work to be done by Wisconsin Chimney Technicians; I am very comfortable having them do the repairs. They are just very impressive people. All the comments on the web site are accurate. They are clean and they tell what they are going to do and they do it. The quote for relining the chimney was $3500 and I looked at one other place that said anywhere from $ 2500 to $5000. I don’t know if I can probably get it cheaper. You learn overtime that cheap is not always the best. You want people to leave you feeling very good about what they did whether more or less money. As for responsiveness it was tough to get the first appointment. It took a while for them to come out here. The repair was scheduled quickly as soon as I approved it they came when they said they were going to come. The repair was done quickly and clean. Jim also did some extra work on my hearth. I cannot say enough positives about this small HIGH QUALITY Company. Thank You !

Technician was very prompt, polite, and professional. I was very impressed with how clean the process was, having expected it to be very dirty and smelling of soot. Quite the contrary. The vacuum system worked great and the air quality was very good The technician inspected the chimney and pointed out any potential problems I might have in the future but did not push me into further immediate expense. I've called a second time for a repair and they responded promptly. I look forward to using this company for whatever needs I have with our chimney.

I was satisfied with them. The contact person’s name is Jeff. I spent about $2000 on their services. They’re very professional. They show up when they say they will and they do a good job as far as I can tell. I really don’t have a comparison for price. I will have to climb up my chimneys to know if the quality of work was okay but I have no reason to think that it’s not okay. Their responsiveness was very good. I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

The personnel were very friendly, and helpful from the start. The service man was prompt, friendly, and efficient. The best part was the education he provided about usng the fireplace properly, and recommended replacing an improperly sized grate.

Technician arrived promptly, answered all questions and performed service in a professional manner. Also did minor repair to top of chimney for no extra charge.

Jeff came to determine if a chimney liner was needed. He did a complete inspection, including climbing on the roof and checking the chimney from the basement. After much time and many questions answered, he let me know that a liner was not needed. He did not charge, noting that he had not performed a service. Jeff was very helpful and professional, as well as generous. When I asked if I could pay him for his time, he asked only that I make a donation to Toys for Tots! I will not hesitate to hire him to do work in the future, if needed.

They matched the brick as well as possible , and tuck pointed the remaining brick to look almost like new. The work was carried out in the time frame promised and the men were very professional and friendly. The estimate was not the lowest of the four I received but it was competitive and because of reputation I decided to go with them. Everything worked out great and if the chimney doesn't fall down in the next few years I will be more than happy, and well satisfied with their company. They cleaned the fireplace and I must admit it was the best cleaning of any company I have used in the past. It looked like they got allot that the last cleaning had left. I will have them clean the chimney and fireplace in the future.
