Very well...no issues!

Job went well

I called them to pump out our septic tank and do an inspection because we're selling our home. I was informed that the pumping would be $195 and that the inspection would be $225. I happened to be home when the guy came to pump and inspect. It was raining so I didn't go outside and talk to him but watched as he got the hose out and began to pump the tank. I was told that after the pumping was done he would inspect the entire system and make sure there were no issues. I was also told that he would need a hose and sprayer to clean out the tank (I assumed) and for what else I don't know. I made sure to get the hose and sprayer out and left it on the patio for him. Here is where my one star rating comes in. I watched as he finished pumping the tank and he put away his hoses and got in the truck and drove away. He never used the hose or looked at anything else in or with the tank. I was told he would test the flow back to the tank check the baffles in the tank and check the venting for the tank and system. He never did any of this. When I called the office the women I talked with said that all of these things were done and she would call the driver and verify. She called back and to no surprise she said yes he said he did everything. I was told that they would send out the report to the county and/or the state and I would get a copy of the inspection. When I said I was home and watched that he did nothing else and that I would be charged $225 for the report she said well I don't know what to say that's what we charge. Bottom line is I paid them $225 for a piece of paper that took no more than 2 minutes to work up. I would not use them again and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Sunset Septic has always been receptive and helpful when calling. They had past information on hand when asking price and gave me a $10 discount though I didn't have the coupon with me.

On time and did a good job.  When I called them on a different issue pertaining to a broken cap on septic tank, they told me how I could fix it myself without having to incur a service fee (saving me around $100).  Very professional and helpful

Had been having problems with back ups in the basement. It took a 2nd plumber to figure out that our septic filter was plugged causing 2 pumps in our basement to fail. We called Sunset Septic and they were able to be at our house within 2 hrs and they pumped both tanks and then fixed and cleaned filter that was causing the problems with our basement drain and pumps. They were polite, punctual and when I paid, I asked about if they took competitors coupons, they said they didn't but that they would give me $15 off. Something they didn't need to do but was a nice touch.

We have used Sunset Septic Service for at list 10 years prior to our new system and they will continue to be our first choice. They always where there when we needed them.

Then the serviceman came out and stated they don't do that and wanted to charge $80 service charge. I contacted the owner who was very apologetic and issued a refund right away and very nice about the issue. I will deal with him in the future.While the guy was out here stating he doesn't do that work he said while I was here would you like me to pump the tank and went ahead and pumped half of it and thought that would buy us time with this issue and the owner didn't charge us for that either. We do need our tanked empty here soon and will be contacting this company.

They did a good job. They were prompt and professional and I would be willing to use them again.
