I called to request service from his feedback on this list. I was quoted $400 for 40 feet of seemless gutters. The going rate is around $3.55. I asked why he was soo expensive and he replied that he was busy and it was not worht his time for just 40 feet. I just thought you should know.

It was so-so. The gutter seemed to work just fine. They didn't do anything wrong. What bothered me was that they didn't show up when they said and didn't call to tell me why. Also after doing the work for a day they disappeared for a week. They came back to do some work and then disappeared for two week before coming back to finish. They were not good at letting me know when they would be out.

John, the owner, was very responsive to our request for a bid, and actually came out the same day (a Saturday) that we initially contacted him. He was very nice, thorough in his explanation of the work to be performed, and agreeable a few days later when we asked about replacing a few existing gutters in addition to the other work we had discussed. As a result, we accepted his bid. Despite several days of rain delay, John and his crew did a very nice job installing the gutters, which - as promised - perfectly matched the trim color of our house. They were easy to work with, and we would definitely use again. In fact, I recently recommended them to a colleague. I did receive a surprise, however, when the bill came, as it was several hundreds dollars more than quoted. When questioned, John recognized that he failed to include the price of the gutter covers in the bid. To his credit, John honored the original bid! My only critique is that their ladders did scrape some paint from our second-story balcony railing. When informed, John was very apologetic and offered to come out and touch-up the paint. We had already started the job, but pleased that John made the offer. Overall, we had a good experience with Guttersmiths.

John came and gave an estimate which was reasonable. We scheduled the work and he came and completed it. He was easy to work with and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to hire Guttersmiths in the future for a bigger job (or another small one.)

We hired John at Guttersmiths to install gutters and downspouts on our old farmhouse we are remodeling. From our initial conversation, throughout the quote process and finally the actual installation; you can tell he is passionate about his work and it truly shows. My wife and I were at work when he came to look at the property initially, and our dogs managed to escape. He was kind enough to get them back inside the porch before leaving. He was prompt and fun to work with, and talked with us during the work to make sure he was getting our input. The final product was just solid and superb and we were happy we made the choice to go with him, as the result has added a lot of value to our property and kept the rain away from our basement. Would recommend his work to anyone looking for gutter replacement and/or addition.

John usually called me back quite promptly and was easy to talk to. He came to do the estimate quickly and seems very honest and decent. He had to postpone slightly, but it was within reason. He and his helper cleaned up afterward, and when I complained about their dumping gutter junk in the garbage, he removed it and left a clean garbage container. He offered to do a couple of gutter cleanings to be included in the price I paid for the new gutters. I think I could have found a cheaper provider, but I think he took more care than most and thought about the problems my unique situation presented. Overall, I was very pleased. It hasn't rained yet though!

The estimate and work was done in timely fashion, and the redesign and replacement of gutters greatly improved drainage.

They showed up 4 hours early, which actually worked out well for us, but they didn't call first, which might bother some people. They were efficient and did some necessary basic maintenance while cleaning the gutters. They answered my questions about other gutter maintenance issues. The price was a bit high for what turned out to be 40 minutes' work, but we do have a 2-story house with a lot that slopes down in back to make the equivalent of 3 stories back there, so it's understandable for the additional safety issues and difficulty. They were very pleasant and eager to please; will hire them again in future for similar needs.

They weren?t good about responding; it took them awhile to give me the quote.

They did an outstanding job. They were certainly not the cheapest. They were very reasonably priced, in addition to being very professional. The people, who came to do the work, really knew their product and installation. I am more than satisfied with them. I?d recommend them to everybody. I wouldn?t be able to say enough about them, even if I took an hour or two to think.

The downspout was clogged completely, making a beautiful waterfall over the front of the house when it rained:( So John came by to check it out, estimated parts and labor right on the spot. It was a smaller project, but about 30 feet high so we left it to the pros. Guttersmiths color-matched our gutters, upgraded us to a larger volume downspout, and completed the work quickly! Couldn't be happier!

The Guttersmiths crew (John and Norm) impressed me with their thoroughness from the first time we met. Whereas I'm confident that they could please just about any home owner, both of the guys took their time preparing an estimate that addressed all of our concerns. Once the job got started, the Guttersmiths team methodically applied their skills to every facet of the work. In addition, John and Norm are just awesome guys to be around, and are always willing to pause their work to answer any questions (believe me, I had a lot). Although the job took longer than expected (it's on old house, go figure) the final product was exquisite. I had no idea this sort of work could actually improve the look of the house, but it did. These guys treat your house as if it were their own ... right down to the smallest of detail.

Great! Not only did he install the gutters, but he also installed a rain barrel that we had purchased from Sustain Dane. It turns out that he also does volunteer work for Sustain Dane and helps with their rain barrel program. We didn't know that when we hired him, but we always like to support businesses that give back to the community. He did excellent work and even came back to our house to check on everything.

Our experience was great. John was honest, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend him!

Very happy with the job. I submitted a report previously after having scheduled the work and not getting a response for an extended period of time, but ultimately John came through and did a great job with the gutters and was thorough and professional and even helped me out by getting a piece of siding reattached that had come loose. So although it was a little bumpy at the start with communication and promptness, he is someone I definitely trust and I think has a lot of integrity and pride in his work.

They were fine. They were professional and a local company which we liked. They got the job done promptly and the pricing was competitive. I would recommend them to others.

John came out to the house, which had no gutters. He was on time and super nice. We knew nothing about gutters, and he made the whole process convenient and simple. He took measurements and offered us a choice of colors, and told us about the seamless gutters his company offers. He also showed us some examples of their work on-line. We made arrangements for a time that was convenient for us, and he came back with the seamless gutters all custom made and installed them. We had a few specific requests that required some maneuvering under our deck, and he was very flexible and able to do whatever we decided was best. We felt very comfortable with John, and he did a great job at a great price. He also assured us that if we have any problems with the gutters in the future he'd come out and fix them. We've had no problems at all. We probably won't need gutters again, but if we did we'd hire him again in a second!
