It was good.

We had "things growing" under various pieces of furniture, and Terry got it all. Our house hadn't been cleaned in awhile, and Terry spent extra time on those areas that needed it most. We walked through the house & checked everything - the white glove test - it was sparkling, the dust bunnies were gone from unde rthe furniture, the rugs had been vacuumed, and the house even smelled clean.We'll definitely use Terry to clean every other week!

I’ve been very happy with them. I used the big deal for their service and I continued to use them. They charged me $50 an hour. They’re very dependable and courteous. They do a good job and that’s pretty much what I need. I will use them again in the future.

We were pleased with Terry's work. We had never hired a house cleaning service before, and we decided to take advantage of the special offer Detail Cleaning was offering Angie's List members. We have already booked an appointment for another house-cleaning.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon to try Terry's services. After I purchased the coupon, Terry contacted me and explained in detail the services he would be providing. He was very nice and easy to talk to on the phone. We set up a time for the cleaning and I gave him our garage comb. He came during the day while we were at work to do the cleaning. It was so wonderful to come home to a sparkling clean house!!! Terry called the same night to see what we thought of his services. This was very much appreciated and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Terry did an exceptional job and I was very impressed. We got our house cleaned one other time but a different company. That company had three people clean and Terry did a better job hands down! I would recommend Terry and would definitely get him again in the future.

I think the above report does tell it all. I have a big house and I need help with cleaning and Terry seems to fill the bill. Lucy Cooper

They cleaned my house for 3-4 hours and tackled it from top to bottom.

Terry did a very thorough job cleaning my condo. He was conscientious and did a great job with everything. I was very pleased and I would hire him again.

I purchased an "Angie's List Big Deal" for 4 hours of house cleaning for my father. He had recently had major emergency surgery and had been hospitalized and now needed help getting his house back in order since he now has limited mobility. I called Terry to make an appointment. I explained the situation to Terry, and even arranged for up to 2 additional hours to be paid at $50/hr. I made clear to Terry that I wanted to pay for the entire cleaning and that I would be the contact person. During this call, Terry complained about how much money that Angie's List was taking from the "Big Deal" sales, and made sure to make me aware that he was not making very much money on this and that he really only wanted people to buy this deal if they would be hiring him for regular cleaning jobs. I ignored these comments and scheduled the cleaning, since I had already purchased the Big Deal. Terry arrived on time, and my father gave him a tour of the house. Terry said that there would be no problem cleaning the house. My father explained that he was uncomfortable watching someone clean his house when he is unable to assist, and so he decided to leave for 4 hours. Terry was unpacking his cleaning supplies as my dad drove away. After 4 painful, exhausting hours of trying to stay out of the house with zero energy, my father returned to find that his house had not been cleaned and that Terry had left him a note. "Your house is to dirty for me to clean. It would take me 9 hours at least. The Big Deal from Angie's List is for 4 hours of general cleaning. This needs a deep clean I would have to charge 50 dollars an hour. You can get your money make from Angies List. Sorry about this. -Terry Johnson" At no point did Terry contact myself or my father to explain this situation. In fact, it is still not clear to me what the difference is between a deep cleaning and a regular cleaning, when a regular cleaning is described on the Big Deal as including: "Exterior of appliances (and inside of small appliances) Countertops, cabinets, backsplash, sink Clean and sanitize floor, tile, sink / vanity, mirrors, backsplash, commode, shower/tub, tracks. Dust all furniture, pictures, sills, fans, baseboards, molding, shelves, vents, lamps and wall corners. Vacuum all floors and carpet. Remove trash, replace liners. Remove marks from doors and switch plate covers. Clean glass doors." My fathers house (a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath) did not need more cleaning than described in the Big Deal. This was an inconvenience to my father and myself. My father was wandering around, exhausted, wasting time, when he could have been back home resting if Terry had maintained professionalism and called him. Terry could have called me and we could have worked out a deal. Terry could have told my dad during the walk through that he thought the house was too dirty. But, he did not. He acted like an inexperienced business man and took the easy, unprofessional route of sneaking away in silence without finishing the job. I would highly recommend that no one ever take the chance of hiring Terry Johnson to complete a service. I cannot believe that a housekeeper would ever say the words "Your house is too dirty for me to clean." Especially when the house is not even that bad. And he said that it would take him at least 9 hours to clean 1250 square feet - beware that he can probably not finish any home in 4 hours as he advertises in the Big Deal. I also have noticed that the Big Deal that I purchased is no longer for sale, and he is now selling one for $20 more. I suspect that this is the true reason behind his unprofessional behavior - he didn't feel as if he was making enough money on the Big Deal, as he told me during the first phone call - because Angie's List takes $35 for each Deal sold. Horrible experience. Save your time and frustration and hire someone with a professional work ethic.
