You Move Me is a professional local moving company. We move people, not just their boxes! Our movers are highly-trained pros. We will help you plan your move ahead of time, find appropriate storage facilities, source boxes and packing supplies, pack your belongings, and even bring you coffee on moving day (your coffee machine is packed, right?). What can you expect on moving day? We will call you in advance to confirm key information, such as your address and where to park. Once we arrive, we’ll walk through your home with you so you can show us items that need special handling. Then, we treat your belongings as if they’re our own when we pack up the truck. We pride ourselves on offering the best customer experience every time, and we’re sorry we weren’t able to match your expectations on this move. There are a couple things that were preventing us from being as efficient as we usually are, as we have discussed with you before. Originally, your estimate was for a pack and move of your living room and kitchen only, however, the day before the move, you had requested that you wished to have your entire house packed and moved, which caused your new price to go up. We are an hourly service, so longer duration of work means more in cost. You agreed to this price change over the phone before we arrived onsite that day. You informed our movers to not worry about labeling the boxes, as you already knew what was inside them, and you didn’t want us to waste time doing so. Due to weather conditions, we were concerned for the safety of our movers. We didn’t charge you for the truck and travel fee or the additional two movers we sent to help speed up the process for you and keep our movers safe before the weather really started to get worse. All in all, this resulted in about $500 of savings for you during this last minute extended move, and we did our best to satisfy you with a smile on our face. The estimate and final cost were spot on. I believe the final cost would have been slightly more had we not moved most of our boxes and furniture moved into the garage. In the end, hiring You Move Me was well worth the cost. We still had to make another trip from Appleton to Waukesha, but that was because we didn't have everything packed up when You Move Me arrived.
Overall, the guys were efficient and pleasant. I will definitely use You Move Me the next time I move.
Their website said that they would bring you coffee, and "Your first housewarming gift to make you feel more at home in your new place." They didn't do that. I didn't really care, and didn't even think about it until after the fact. I don't feel this reflects on my overall move experience at all - the only reason I even mention it is because it is kind of an extra touch that their website promises, that didn't happen.
Overall, I was definitely happy with the service, I thought the two guys - Dan and Dimitrious (I might be spelling that wrong) - were great, and I would hire this company again. This was also my first time hiring movers, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. They made it easy; this was probably the least stressful step in this whole moving process.
YOU MOVE ME did an exceptional job moving me and my personal belongings. The team took extra care with the delicate items, delivered quickly, and even set up items like bedroom furniture upon arrival. From the first call to schedule and get a quote until the moving day I couldn't have been more impressed.
They took away that added stress of moving - I will be sure to use them again in the future. This team will be my first recommendation to friends and family when they are in need of an experienced moving team.
The whole experience went well, starting with Jim (manager?) to the two movers, Phil and Drew. Phil and Drew took their time and wrapped every item to insure nothing would be damaged. They were very personable, professional, and completed the move as well and I had hoped for. Will recommend this company to all my friends.
This transaction took place months prior to the move date and as the time drew closer, they called me more than once to confirm and ask if I had any concerns. They arrived within the appointed 2 hr range and in fact called me prior to say they would be a little later than the first stated time due to circumstances.
They were professional, efficient, caring and careful and followed up with a call after the fact to see that all was done to my satisfaction. I found I had to call them a little later because one small box was missing. They acknowledged that it had been found under some blankets and the manager himself delivered it across town to my new place the same day.
