Remodeling by Steve

My experience was excellent. That guy did a great job.

Steve came out promptly after we called him. He fixed a couple of small things as he moved through the house and then agreed to come back to fix the siding and to paint the shed a few weeks later when the weather was more consistently warmer. He said he would charge us $300, which seemed like a lot, but we were in a rush, planning to move. He told us to buy a gallon of Sherwin Willliams paint tinted a color similar to the paint shade already on the shed, so we went out and got the paint the next day. Three weeks past and around the time he was supposed to return, it was raining. The four days after that (last week) were shining bright and clear, though, and we expected him to show up to do the work because the weather had cleared up like he wanted. He never showed. We have been arranging a move to a new state and insanely busy, so we haven't gotten around to calling him yet, but now the work still needs doing and it's only two more weeks until we move out of this house. We have to decide: Bother with Steve again and take a chance he still won't show up, or spend time finding a different handyman. We are very disappointed with how this encounter has gone and were glad we haven't spend any more money than $50 on a can on paint.

Steve is a very hard worker. He likes to review his progress daily with you. This is good because you alway know where he is at and what he is doing. The communication is wonderful. I only now apprieciate this after working with contractors who do whatever they want and never consult you at dicision points. This communication is a little much at times and over done. But as I said, I would take this over the contractor who doesnt communicate. Steve did lay out tarps for his work. My only complaint is every night he did not clean up. He waited until the end of the job. this might work ok for a lot of people. I wasnt thrilled about it. And he did clean up well at the end. steve is a hard worker who is fairly priced and does what he says he will do. you can count on him.

Steve is one of the most punctual contractors I have ever encountered. He connected with me right away when I made my initial inquiry and came the same day to see the job and provide an estimate. Steve was patient with all my questions and even worked the job around my timeframe. He wasn't at all intimidated because I am a and quot;hands onand quot; person and wanted to be involved. I'm also obsessive with keeping up with the cleaning and that didn't bother him a bit. He was very respectful and I appreciate the job and his professionalism. Would I recommend Steve to others - you bet!! If I have additional work in the future I would definitely consider Steve for assisting with the job!

Gave suggestions, prices for each option...very fair and professional

He is very good and responsive. He tells you what needs to be done. He follows through on a daily basis and keeps you up to date. I will definitely use him again. He does everything from redoing bathroom, to minor things like changing broken windows. He did all the job efficiently. His quality and reliability had been very good.

He got right back to me after I called him to set up an appointment and he came over to look over the jobs. I had most of the supplies and I just had to decide on the paint colors for the bathroom. We set up an appointment for the following week. I picked up the paint and he arrived early on Monday. He did a very good job with everything. He painted the bathroom with three different colors including a 4and quot; border in a contrasting color. He worked very hard to get everything done in about one and half days.

Steve was excellent. I was very happy with him. As a matter of fact, I had him lined up for a couple more jobs in the spring where he is going to be laying a new kitchen floor and doing a tub surround for me. His pricing was very reasonable. A week before we had him do the motion lights, my daughter's car was broken into because we are in an alley and she parks next door on the neighbor's car port. They slashed a window and stole the radio so I wanted the motion lights done in our backyard. The quality of his work was excellent and he gets right back to you. His punctuality was excellent. As a matter of fact, he was usually a few minutes early. He also has a darling dog. A lot of times, his dog was in the truck with and he let it out and my dog and his dog were playing in the backyard while he was installing the motion lights.

He was wonderful and it was just a great overall experience. He worked fast, he knew exactly what he was doing, had a delightful personality, and his pricing was extremely fair.

He seems like a really nice guy I will update when the work is complete.

It went very well. It was a dirty, dusty, tough job to remove the old sinktop from the cabinet. The previous installer had used an excessive amount of glue. Steve was very concerned about not damaging tile on the wall around the sink and he achieved that. Steve estimated 4 hours to do the job and was done in 3 hours thus a savings for me. He is very reasonably priced and does quality work. I asked him for an estimate to replace damaged tile around my shower. I was not ready to pay that much (not because the estimate was unreasonable). He suggested an alternative solution which I did which will postpone having to do anything until I am ready. The vinyl floor was raising up in a few areas and he quickly sealed it off and caulked it. He was very pleasant to work with.

He responded very quickly and he was out the same day. He finished quickly and he did a nice job.

Steve Glupker was SUPER. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. He knew I was under a timeline to get my house listed for sale and did everything he could to help me make that deadline. He was communicative, punctual, and fair in price. I think what I liked best about working with Steve is that I never EVER had to worry about whether he would show up for work on a timely basis. He always came when he said he would, and he followed up all inspections with a phone call or text to see if there were any problems. He made a stressful house-selling time much less stressful for me because I knew I didn't have to worry about him or his work. Steve is a one-man show, so anyone hiring him should be prepared to help if he needs assistance carrying in drywall sheets or heavy lumber, etc. It's worth it, though, if you can spare the time to give him a hand the few times he might need it. Also, Steve enjoys the company of his big black dog and quot;Charlieand quot; and he might ask you if it's ok if Charlie can hang around during a job. If, however, you prefer Charlie to wait in the car or at home, Steve respects that. In my case, it didn't matter to me if Charlie was around, wagging his tail during a job, because it was clear between Steve and I that if Charlie caused a problem, Steve would be responsible for it. Charlie caused no problems except be aware of Charlie's powerful tail wagging... LOL As a workman, Steve was a perfectionist and everyone who entered my home after the job was done was highly impressed with his work. His drywalling was beautifully feathered and his wood cuts were true. He cleaned up after himself and was always polite and positive. I really liked his work a lot. I would caution people who hire Steve on just one thing: If Steve should recommend an electrician friend named Dave, I might steer clear of hiring Dave to do your electrical work and opt for another electrician instead. Dave did good work for my job, and I have no doubt his electrician skills are good, but I did not care for his communication skills or that the permit cost was high because Dave work's under another electrical firm. In the case of my job, while the electrical work was fine, Dave's poor communication put both Steve and I in a bit of a frustrating position due to delays. Steve can handle minor electrical work himself, but if your job requires higher level electrical work, I would research your own electrician. Bottom line: Remodeling by Steve was an extremely satisfying experience. I'd hire him again as he does good work for a good price with good communication the whole way.

The bathroom is beautiful. Steve was always on time he did a great job. He is very skilled at what he does and we will use him again. He told us how long the job would take and he finished quicker than promised.

Steve was reasonably priced and came up with creative solutions. He is polite and helpful as well as honest. I would use Steve again and recommend him for home projects.,

Steve was really good - a one man show, so maybe not the best for a huge project, but perfect for something like this. He came and gave us a quote - right then he scheduled when he would come back (he used the calendar on a smart phone - which I liked because I've had contractors in the past and quot;forgetand quot; about us). When he came he was on time, kept things pretty clean and did the job well.

It was a good experience. They are dependable, reliable and trustworthy.

This was a small job and sometimes those are the most difficult to find a qualified handyman. He arrived promptly to give a quote. Had a quick grasp of the job that needed to be done - bottom sill on casement windows was beginning to rot and needed to be replaced. Came back as promised at a later date to complete work. Completed the work at the agreed upon price and cleaned up. All-in-all a very satisfactory experience. I'd highly recommend Steve.

He was able to rip down and take out the old vanity and lights easily and was very knowledgeable about plumbing options and helped me decide how I should hook up the faucet/ plumbing. He worked efficiently and I was pleased at how fast he got it done. He was very responsive and responsible arriving on time and within his estimated time to complete.

Great...no problems.....I am very pleased with the results.

The job was too small for a Garage Door company, they couldn't do the job for months. Remodeling by Steve came on a Saturday for me and got the job done in about two hours. I could have done it but it would have taken me a whole day. He did a nice job and I would highly recommend him.

Steve initially had a short meeting with me to look at each project to estimate materials and labor. He was very prompt and returned on our agreed upon date to complete the work. He worked methodically so that he minimized the time that it would take him to complete each project. He has great determination and goes beyond the task by testing and retesting his installations to ensure your satisfaction. He's very knowledgeable with products and techniques which passes the cost savings to his customers. For messy jobs, you will have to tidy up after he completes it, and since he is a one man show, he may ask for your assistance with certain tasks but it was well worth the monies spent.

Steve came by to help me finish some drywall in a bathroom. I had the drywall hung, but was doing a terrible job mudding it. Steve came in, addressed the situation as in a few areas I had WAY too mud. Steve told me what he needed to do, I had the majority of the supplies. Steve came on 4 separate occasions to mud and sand the drywall, one morning as early as 7:00 am to accommodate my schedule. The finish product looks great, and I would highly recommend Steve to anyone. He has a wide variety of knowledge on home ownership tasks. I will be renovating another bathroom, as well as needing some other odd jobs around my duplex, Steve will be my go to guy. He charges a fair price, works efficiently, and has a personality. Kind of a throwback of sorts...someone who is not trying to take you to the cleaners and pull a fast one.
