Description of Work: Inquired at their store on July 3 about custom screens. When I still hadn't heard anything by July 7 I called and was told that the individual handling the order was off that day so no information was available. When I called the next day, they did have an estimate that was higher than I expected, but I decided to place the order. |Three weeks later I e-mailed them to inquire about when to expect delivery, and got an answer that they would "be in this week, and we will call you when they arrive." Thursday (July 30) they did call to say the screens had arrived and were ready for pick-up. | |NOTE: The work was "farmed out" to Marvin Windows -- I don't know if I could have gone to Marvin directly or if there would have been a difference in price. The screens are very high quality.

Description of Work: Lisbon Door Co. is very close to my new "old" home. They had a vast supply of storm doors at their showroom, and I was able to choose the type, style, color and price very quickly. They also gave me the phone number of an installer to contact ASAP. I bought two storm doors (both with glass screens) at approx. $1,000 each and they were professionally installed within one week. There was "adjustment" work to be done at each door site, and I was surprised that one skilled worker could sit and install the doors and screens without assistance. The work was done in less than one work day. I thought the price was a bit high, but upon checking around found that it was "in the box". I should stress that I initially chose Lisbon Storm Door because their showroom was less than a 1000 meters from the worksite; thus, I could easily see the product and make an informed choice. But I was also pleased with the quick and efficient service, and I would go there again.

Description of Work: I had to replace the plexiglass in my screen door. I took the measurements, called them in to the company, and went there to pick up my piece of plexiglass. It was a very smooth transaction, didn't take very long, and the piece was a perfect fit in my door. (I had someone else install the glass.)

The installer came for measurements and could not install without investigating further and wanted my permission to remove part of the frame. I agreed and they made a second trip. They installed the door on the 3rd trip after I called and ordered the door over the phone. All-in-all it was a pleasant experience, they went the extra mile and I have a beautiful new storm door. The price was comparable to the big chains but the service much more personalized.
Description of Work: I ordered the door from Lisbon Storm & door and used their recommended installer, ''B&G Maintenance''.

+ -1 moreTHE ORDERING EXPERIENCE WAS PERFECT. THE TEAM GAVE US CATALOGS TO TAKE HOME, MADE GOOD SUGGESTIONS AND WHEN FILLED THE COMPLEX ORDER WAS ACCURATE AND DELIVERED QUICKLY. THE SUBCONTRACTED INSTALLER WAS DIFFICULT TO GET ON THE JOB. WHEN THEY DID ARRIVE, THEY FORGOT PARTS AND MANAGED TO CUT OUR NEW WOOD DOOR 2 INCHES TOO SHORT. LUCKY THAT LISBON HAD ANOTHER IN OUR SIZE. THEY WERE SLOW AND THE TWO INSTALLERS ARGUED WITH EACH OTHER MOST OF THE DAY. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. MY ONLY SUGGESTION IS THAT THEY STAY OPEN LATER THAN 5:30 PM DURING THE WEEK, WHICH WOULD BE MORE CONVENIENT.
