Good to work with. Spending this kind of money on something that does not add much value to the home is difficult but CSR made it painless. CSR provided reasonable options, made good recommendations on what to do, took care of any concerns, and was quick to contact other trades if needed. Others came in less expensive but I was more confident in what CSR proposed to resolve our issues.

I believe that everything went well.  The owner was on-site performing the work alongside of his crew.  He obtained the required building permit, scheduled the building inspection and performed the stated work.  The work passed inspection and I am very happy that I have completed that project.  I would recommend this contractor for your needs.  He was timely, professional and responsive to my needs or questions.

Most of the other contractors ran away when they saw the 4and quot; deflection in my wall caused by a elm tree. Not Chris. He had all of the equipment and crew to properly repair the wall. During the review of the job Chris explained his paln of attack which made sense to my engineering background. Chris even suggested an option to make the room larger by taking advantage of the footing of a failed part of the wall.
Chris checked in with me every day to make sure the job was going well. He and his crew were very nice to work with. I would not hesitate to use him again.

We liked everything about them, there was nothing I didn't like, they were very professional, they were very quick and they did an excellent job. The pricing was very good; it was very fair.

Mr Recknagel was one of three companies we asked for a quote. His quote was competitive with the others. He did not try to sell us more services than our basement consultant told us was necessary. He was willing to explain the procedures he would be performing in great detail. It was obvious he has been doing this for a long time and we were comfortable with his expertise. Both he and his assistant are very friendly and were a pleasure to have in our home. They worked hard and fast, no dawdling. They were happy to show us what they were doing every step of the way. They laid a protective covering over our floor from the entryway to the basement door. They cleaned up when they were done. Their work passed inspection on the first visit of the inspector and we are happy with final result as well.

Everything turned tout just fine with this company. I have no complaints at all and I would use them again. I thought the project overall could have been a little more organized.

CS Recknagel is an awesome team of professional foundation experts. They were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They did a fantastic job in a very timely manner. They even laid down a floor protector in my house so that nothing would be dirty, they cleaned up after every single days work, and very kind to my "curious" neighbors. All my neighbors need foundation repair and have all commented on how great Recknagel was - they were quick, clean, respectful and really know their stuff. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone - really excellent company.

This is a follow up report! Two years later we've had no problems. We received 7 inches of rain last month and the basement remained BONE DRY. Many around us were flooded. Before the repair after a similar rainfall we had 4 feet of water in the basement. Great people, great work, great results.

I was very pleased. Everything went well. Chris and his men were on time, polite, and went out of their way to help me. It took exactly the time frame he gave me. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Chris and his crew jackhammered and dug up a portion of the basement floor so we could move our floor drain and add plumbing for a new bathroom when we were building out a rec room in the basement. They did an excellent job, they were prompt and cleaned up after themselves which was difficult because they had to carry out by hand the old concrete, up the stairs and through the house. They helped prep for the plumbing including leveling and sloping for the new drain. After the plumbing work, they came back to repour the new floor which also was difficult because they had to carry in the new concrete by hand. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. They did an excellent job and I would definitely use them again!

They couldn't have been better. Estimate was lower than previous one which only included "evaluating" the cracked wall. Reconstruction of the wall was a major part of the job. Crew was polite, unintrusive (even though job involved some excavation. Wall is fine, basement is dry. We felt fortunate to have found this company. Even though this is a report from >1 yr, it was memorably good service and I wanted to submit it.

I highly recommend this contractor for any foundation issues you may have. I was extremely happy with how it went. His pricing was by far the best of the three contractors I had quote me. When he quoted he never tried to sell me on additional work. He tells you exactly what is required per the building code in your area, and that's all he does. The other contractors tried to sell me on all kinds of extra work that would have cost me almost double what I ended up paying. As to the work itself, when we originally signed the contract he told me I should expect him the week of Oct. 19th...he actually started the work on Oct. 12th and was done Oct. 16th. Given the amount of work that needed to be done I was very impressed. I had to have a wall taken down, and rebuilt. The hole in the wall was only there for a day, and they did a very nice job in putting a tarp over the hole so nothing got in during that 24 hour period when it was open. The trenches they dug for the excavated walls were only open for three days before they filled them back up. They were extremely careful with my lawn, and only left one small set of track tires in the grass. Considering they drove in about half of my backyard I was very happy with that. They cleaned up after working every day, and put tarps and other coverings on my kitchen floor, basement carpeting, and stairs to minimize shoe marks, mud, etc... They even made a special beams to put against the wall that adjusted for my electrical box, and my sump pump pit. For a small fee they even hauled out all of the dry wall, paneling, etc... that I had to take down so they could fix the walls. I work during the day, so I was unable to be home most of the time that they worked, but even that didn't cause a problem. As I said in the beginning, I was extremely happy with how this went, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat if you have any foundational issues.

The work was done very quickly and professionally-he and his crew were in and out in two days, and left the work site spotless. He called me frequently to inform me of their progress(I was not home at the time)and to let me know when they were done. My only complaint was that someone on his crew must have unplugged an appliance in the basement and forgotten to plug it back in, but this was easily remedied once I found out what the problem was.

They were all professional. They always knocked when they came in. They had laid covering on the floor as to not track dirt in. The job was done in a timely manner.

Recknagel understood the timetable dictated by the pending sale, and his crew began and finished the job on schedule, in one week. The work satisfied me, the city inspector and, most important, the buyers. Recknagel always was courteous in returning phone calls promptly and answering questions. I would hire him again, if needed.

They did show up on time and that is about the only good thing I can say about them. The materials they used were substandard and poor quality. The old surface actually looked better before they started. They had also had promised the dimensions of the porch would remain the same and it is now much shorter. I don't recall the price they charged me but whatever it was it was excessive considering the poor results they left us with. I do not recommend these people.

My basement is good and sturdy now. The walls are secure and the house is supported securely now. They did an excellent job for me. They did it quickly and they knew what they were doing. I would use them again if I had other problems with the basement.

My wall is holding up quite well now. It is in no danger of crumbling or falling in now. I felt they did a wonderful job on the repair. They did a nice job of cleaning up the area they were working in. I feel they are a good company to use.

Very prompt, all calls returned quickly. Easy to work with. Professional crew works hard and Left the job site clean. Drain tile is working great. Pleasure to work with. Would recommend.

IT TOOK THE CREW 5 DAYS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND WORKED DILIGENTLY. WE RECEIVED FOUR QUOTES FOR THIS JOB AND HAD OUR HOME INSPECTOR HELP US DECIDE. THIS COMPANY WAS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE AND FAIR PRICED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR BASEMENT REPAIRS. VERY HONEST COMPANY AND EXCELLENT WORK.
