Rob was the electrician for a deck/pergola project we were having done through LaBonte Construction. Rob was professional and personable, explained all the work he was going to do first. He cleaned up after himself, even sweeping up after cutting drywall to install a new light switch. Rob will be back working on two other projects in our house through LaBonte Construction and I have no doubt they will be done without concern. I will make sure to contact Rob for all our electrical needs in the future.

Job went well, expected time to complete was accurate. Not all parts were brought to the job site which was disappointing.

Rob did an excellent job for us. I researched and ordered the track lights and bulbs, keeping his advice in mind, and he took care of the wiring and dimmers. Then kiln venting system installation required some planning and skills beyond that which one would expect from an electrician. Rob set it all up very carefully. The basement is vastly improved with the lighting as well. Rob is very busy, but he is worth the wait!

Anyone looking for a master electrician that is knowledgeable and confident (but not arrogant), trustworthy, and very reasonably priced, need look no further than Rob Gruen. I have just gone through the moving process and had some sticky code compliance issues and really needed a good electrician. While he does have a very busy schedule, he came over the day I called and explained what I needed to do. He was really on my side and made a real effort not to sell me on work that I didn’t absolutely need. I’ve met with both good and mediocre contractors as a result of the move to a new home, but none have impressed me as much as Rob. He expertly installed a 200 amp service and resolved about 10 issues caused by my prior worker. I used him based on his excellent Angie’s List ratings and he exceeded my expectations. I look forward to using him on my new place.

The service provided was good, prompt, and an estimate given before work began. Most of all he gave a very honest assessment of what we could do ourselves and save money, and what he could do that day. We plan to use this service again.

Satisfactory experience on first hire and so hired again. Said he was slow to schedule the first visit only because he was busier than usual due to the 'big deal' offer.

Scheduled in advance, expect him to be on time so be ready! Excellent work.

As I remember, it took him a long time to come out. He said it was because the order for the lights hadn't come in. We discussed where to put them. He was actually helpful with that. However, he couldn't figure out what to do with all the excess wire. He wadded it up under the cabinet, so when you stooped down, or sat on a kitchen chair, you could see this huge wire wad, completely spoiling the ambience I was hoping the lights would create. I hated it. Months later, a handy man came for a different project, but I paid him extra to drill a couple of holes in the back of the cabinet to thread the wire through. It's now lovely but no thanks to the original installer.

Our experience with Rob was great. We called about a week in advance for the work and he was able to get the job completely in a timely fashion. We also had him look at our main floor bathroom, which we plan on remodeling next year, and a few other "weird" old house electrical things and he was more than willing to answer our questions. We were very pleased with Rob's service!

He is very thorough, has good plans and recommendations, and available when I needed him. He is a good guy.

I would recommend them to others. They don’t take credit cards. The guy did a couple of thousand dollars’ worth of work and then I find out that I couldn’t take out my credit card. I wasn’t happy about his professionalism because I had still had a code violation after he did the work. I still have problems with the city and the work. I will not use them again in the future.

Rob takes the time to explain everthing and left the area cleaner than when he got there. This is the second time I have used him and would do so in the future.

Rob arrived right on time and set about running the new circuit. He completed the job in close to the two hours he estimated. He then looked at two outlets that were not working correctly. He replaced one and removed one that was incorrectly wired - I asked him to do this rather than run another circuit. He was very professional and left all areas clean.

He had to do a lot of drilling. I liked him for his quote. It was very accurate. He broke down the cost of everything. He gave me a week and a day's time when he was coming. He did a very good job.

The people who lived here before us did some home wiring that needed to be redone. We actually contacted three companies and heard back from two. We were able to get in touch with this provider first. He quoted a pretty reasonable price compared to what we had looked at. We went ahead and set it up. He seemed very honest and straightforward. He was also knowledgeable about the work. We talked about the quote with him before he even gave the quote. His quote was half the price of another price we had gotten, and he did a great job. We mentioned to him that we thought the other quote was high, and he agreed. He didn't try to gouge us or anything. It took a while to get a hold of him, but that was probably because it's a smaller company. He was here when he was supposed to be.

During a prior visit, Rob had identified some issues with two kitchen GFCI breakers. Prior homeowner was a do-it-yourself type. When our kitchen light fixture needed repair, we also wanted to have the GFCI issue fixed. Rob was personable, efficient, and asked good questions to made sure we had enough power in the kitchen areas should various electrical things run at the same time (mixer/cooktop vent, etc). We are glad to have a quality licensed electrician with fair prices to call when these issues arise.

The job went pretty well. The cost was right. The workmanship was good. They held to the timeline. The staff was very personable.
