No problems connecting everything and modifying the plumbing to my liking. No damage during the installation to our floors or newly painted walls. Explained why he had do things and what my options were and the cost. He was very polite and pleasant and certainly knew what had to be done.

The first repair person thought they had fixed the problem but they were mistaken. The second repair person found the real problem and fixed it. He was excellent, professional and very nice

H.J. Pertzborn plumber was to come and extend gas plumbing line 3' with iron pipe to be able to connect flexible gas appliance line. The flexible line I bought was a BrassCraft Safety+PLUS. The Safety+PLUS line includes an excess flow valve that doesn't come with the standard line (and costs twice as much). They come packaged with the valves are screwed the line. The Plumber installed the line and tested the appliance. When I got home from work to check out the work, I noticed that the excess flow valve had not been installed, and it was not left in the home. I followed up with a phone call to ask about the part. The woman who was the service scheduler was not very helpful in coming up with a solution to the problem (obviously to come and fix it) and she suggest I speak to the plumber who had done the work. He claimed he did not remember seeing the valve (he would've had to take it off to install the flexible line since it comes packaged as such) and claimed he's never heard of such a thing (not up to date with industry products?). I don't like paying extra for products that I don't get the full use from, especially if it is safety related. Overall, I was looking for the woman to say they would fix the issue promptly at their expense. Instead it was "Well, what do you want me to do?" in an irritated tone. The plumber's carelessness about installing the flexible line I had provided is still unbelievable to me. I'll choose someone else for my future plumbing jobs.

He was ok though I wasn't really satisfied. He failed to fix the pressure of the water in my shower. He was expensive.

We had them come out. They sent Bill Johnson and he was great. He was on time, he laid out a little tarp to protect my carpeting, he had to cut a hole in the wall and he also installed a water control dial. It works perfectly and he didn't leave a mess in my house. The price included an Angie's List discount. We actually had plumbing services by him in the past.

Our main complaint is with the total charge, and the "customer service" when we complained. My wife had three telephone conversations with the billing people. When she tried to explain this situation to the second person (a manager type, during the second conversation), the woman hung up in the middle of the conversation. At no time did they offer to come out and replace with another faucet (at some type of agreed upon price). The third conversation was with a different person. We were then sent a threatening bill, and given 3 days to pay the whole amount. This was almost 2 months after the "service". At this point I called and spoke with the second woman (the manager type). I tried again to explain that we felt we were way overcharged, basically paying for the serviceman's ignorance or lack of familiarity with something that 2 other groups of people recognized within minutes. I heard various things during this "conversation", including that Pertzborn uses their own and best makes and models of plumbing stuff, and that it wasn't unreasonable that their service people might not recognize a random brand. (Of course, the guys at Dorn and Home Depot recognized the problem in under 5 minutes total. And by the way, the fixture was a Grohe brand, not what one might consider random or minor.) This woman was basically totally unprofessional, not willing to entertain the idea that the $300+ charge (for a basically unfixed faucet) was "unreasonable", and screaming. I finally managed to get her to lower the total to just over $200. So we still paid a lot to have 10-15 minutes of minor stuff done, and no fix on the faucet. She never offered such a compromise to my wife, or to fix our faucet at some agreed upon cost.

It was great. They were really quick to give us a turn time on this. Between the time I called them and they showed up was like three days. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I got quick responses via phone calls and emails. This is not the first time we've used them; we've been using them for years. Their price was pretty much what I expected.

They were prompt and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves so well my kitchen looked better than before they arrived. They gave me a courtesy discount, since I had clogged up this disposal/drain before. I can't say enough good things about Pertzborn's friendliness, responsiveness and value. I'll never use anyone else. Outstanding company.

I can call them and they know me by name as a consumer. I trust them and if I have an issue and ask them to inspect other things during that visit, they don't charge me extra. They are also very reasonable in price. They are very thorough in their job and always make sure to educate me as a consumer on what they're doing.

This was my first experience using a plumber (just bought a house) and it was a great one. My new house smelled so bad and I knew it had something to do with the laundry/bathroom area. I actually called Stoppleworth Plumbing first and explained what was happening and they said there was nothing plumbing related that they could do. I called H.J. Pertzborn Plumbing next and they sent someone over right away to see if it was plumbing related. I have to say I think Matt went above and beyond trying to locate the source of the smell and he was not only friendly but extremely thorough. I cannot even say how grateful I am to not have to live with that sewer smell anymore! Thank you for the great service!

Everything went like clockwork. The scheduling, timeliness of arrival, completion of the job and billing. Matt, the plumber assigned to do the work, was punctual, professional and personable. He listened to my concerns, answered all of my questions and did quality work.

They did beautiful work, and Chuck was a blast and a half! Definitely wins the Most Fun Contractor award. Our plumbing was in a state of serious disrepair and they did a great job with it. The one frustrating thing was that prior to the job I had told them we needed our bill split up a particular way--but despite telling me (albeit reluctantly) that they would do it, they did not. However, they did knock quite a bit off our bill, which certainly more than made up for that one hassle.

I used them based on the reviews on Angie's List. I thought that they were terrible and were the worst. They had to come back and redo the work. I would not use them again. They were responsive.

The installation was a little more complicated than just replaceing the faucet since the faucet (bought on eBay) had a slightly different configuration. The plumber ended up calling "The Tile Guy" to drill the holes larger in the tile deck. All in all, very good job was done and we would use them again.

Great, timely service. Advised me to call Kohler directly to plead for a new faucet, since this one has been a problem since installation. Gave me the part number to ask for specifically. Told me my water softener did NOT need to be replaced, and left me test strips to check it periodically.

They were wonderful. They were very patient and came the same day. They solved the problem in 30 min.

It turned out very well. It took them about an hour to complete the job. They are very professional and quick to respond to emergency and non emergency calls. They are very good at their job.

He fixed our shut off to the sink from the main. He explained why the current valve (that we replaced) was not working. This is what we called for but then we added on to check a toilet that has been leaking. Another plumber told us we would have to buy a whole new toilet set up. This man simply replaced the seal and has been dry for over a week. He also poured water down a shower drain that we never use. He explained about sewer gases and that this needs to be done once a month. The odor in that bathroom is totally gone. He was very thorough in explaining things.

Fee was higher than normal due to it being a Saturday. The team that came was friendly, quick and on-time. We will definitely use Pertzborn Plumbing again.

The first plumber was professional and provided a detailed explanation of what he was doing, what he found, and what next steps would be. I was told that unlike some companies, this company would provide a detailed, itemized quote for the work, not just a lump sum total for the entire project. I was informed that the second visit would include removal of the old faucet from the front of shower unit (because there was no other access point) and installation of a new faucet with a new face plate that would allow easier access to the faucet in the future. It was estimated that the second visit may take a total of three to four hours. The second plumber was also professional and provided an explanation of what he was doing. The second visit took two to two and one-half hours total. Both plumbers did a great job in cleaning up after they completed their work and answered any questions I had. The company did not provide an itemization of costs in the quote or the invoice. The lump sum quote was for $725; the only itemized detail they provided was for a $43 credit for a faucet handle extension that was not needed. The company had offered to provide contact information for someone who could repair the hole that was cut in drywall to find the source of the water leak, but did not respond to at least two requests to provide that contact information. Overall satisfied with the work that was completed; no call-backs for follow-up plumbing work were needed for this project up to the time this rating was submitted.

I've tried a variety of plumbers in the area, looking for the elusive combination of low prices and good service. Pertzborn isn't the lowest in the price arena, but it's in the same general area -- and its service providers have consistently been up-front, trustworthy, professional, patient, and reliable. There is of course some degree of variance, but I've never felt that nagging "was I just taken advantage of?" feeling that other plumbing services have at times left me with. (The one exception is the fact of the very expensive minimum charge for drain cleaning. I had called them without a second thought for a drain issue, which they addressed in under 20 minutes -- only to receive an unexpected surprise in the form of a bill $50 higher than I'd expected it would be. Only had one drain-cleaning need in recent memory, so I don't know if this is an industry-standard practice.) In this case our hot water heater had become wonky, failing to ignite more and more frequently; Brian carefully cleaned the flame sensor (showing me what's involved) and then, when after reconnection ignition was still not working, we got the vendor on the phone and got a replacement part sent out. A few days later, the replacement was installed in under a half hour and everything worked like clockwork. Pertzborn was very responsive in scheduling this fix, too, keeping in mind our needs (for hot water) and the uncertainty of the replacement-part arrival. The quality of their work has always been top-notch.

Great, professional, on time, cleaned up.

They were efficient. The technician came and evaluated the problem and took care of it. He even asked if there is still something he can do for me. They were on time. They were reasonable and fair. What I really liked is that they billed for a second payment.

The service turned out very well. The technicians did a good job and were able to come out right away on a Saturday, since it was an emergency. It was a challenging situation and they responded quickly and were very helpful. The pricing was a little high.

It was a Saturday night, so therefore, expensive. But the guys were awesome. They were super professional, got here in a hurry, and took care of business.
