Radon Busters have always been reliable. They are meticulous with the installation, and when the work is done, you wouldn’t have known they were even there except for the newly installed system. If I have a client in need of a Radon test or if they need to mitigate for Radon, Radon Busters is first on my list of companies to refer.

Excellent experience - recently purchased a home in Richfield/germantown area and had radon test done at closing.  Test came back slightly above EPA recommended level.  Also home is in wet area with high water table that has sump pump run constantly.  I contacted radon busters and spoke to one owner Ben on the phone.  He came out and gave me options and spoke through the install process - was on time for the appointment and very pleasant - provided a detailed estimate for me.

Communicated with Ben a few times between date of estimate and date of install to fine tune details of the project, select equipment, and select a date.

We ultimately elected to have them install the system inside the home and venting out through the garage roof.  Kyle, the other owner came out and did the work.  Was on time and completed all work in 1 day.  The system looks great - very nice location that minimizes wasted space as the vent pipe hugs the foundation wall and is barely noticeable going through the garage to the roof.  Can't hear any noise from the fan and the gauge on the vent pipe in the basement lets me know the system is working.  They also sealed around the foundation of the basement so it would be air tight.  And also installed a new sump pump and secondary battery operated back up sump pump for me prior to sealing the pump pit for the radon system.

all work looks great - cleaned up nicely after themselves - and were very friendly throughout the process - would definitely recommend them to anyone.

follow up radon test is being run now to see the results of the reduction - but I was so excited about their work today I wanted to get the review written right away

great job Kyle & ben

They put a second hole in my foundation and ran tubing through my entire basement.  The radon was exactly where it was before we started.  I said we need a third party to figure this out.  American Radon Removal Co. came and took out the second  hole in the foundation, took out the piping throughout the basement and  changed the piping that leads out the house to the roof.  He also took out the loud fan and put in a smaller more efficient one.  Left the radon counter for two days and the radon was at a very acceptable level.  Thank goodness for Jeff at American Radon Removal.  He knows what he is doing.

"I just was made aware from my Anglie's list manager that I have a negative review. I read this carefully and I will check my records when I am able to get back to my office. Our company has not done any work in Kenosha, it is my belief that the costomer has posted a review about work completed by another company. I will check my records to make sure, but her name and address are not familiar to me. We will do our due diligence to follow through with this, IF we are responsible we will do everything to make it right."

We were very pleased with our experience! Bill thoroughly explained the process and patiently worked with us on finding the perfect  location for the pump. We were concerned about needing several suction points because our house is 96 years old and does not have drain tile. Bill kept our cost as low as possible by first installing just one suction point and then measuring the radon levels. The test results were great and additional suction points were not needed. Bill was very friendly, punctual and always available by phone. I highly recommend his services.

"Thank you so much for your input. I'm glad I could make this experience was a positive one. Best wishes to you and your family in your new home. Don't forget to test annually for radon. Call your city or county health department for a free test kit every January."

I recently finished my basement and decided to get the full radon reduction system, even though my readings were in the "borderline" area for getting such a system. Bill did a nice job of sealing my sump pump and installing a radon fan exactly where I wanted it so that the fan does the job without being noticed. I had a radon meter in place before the work was done and watched it go down to a .5 level, so I know the system is working. There is no question that the fan system works to reduce radon levels. The radon system provides some peace of mind knowing I will be spending a lot of time in the new basement.

"Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am please that you are happy with the work I did with the placement of the fan and piping. You can view what's going on in the sump through the clear viewport window and easily remove it for annual pump testing or float adjustments. If you ever need to access your sump pump you'll find the gasketed cover to be very user friendly. There is no caulking to remove, just pop out the rubber grommets that seal the discharge pipe, remove the (4) perimeter screws and slide the cover up. I hope you are enjoying the use of your new remodeled basement and thanks again for your comments."

Excellent work. The sale of our home was contingent on passing a radon inspection. Rather than wait for the buyer to locate an inspector, I opted to pay for the inspection $100. I located Radon Busters in the phone book and chose them because I like using businesses near my home. After I spoke to Bill on the phone, I felt comfortable having him do the inspection. Our radon level did exceed the epa acceptable level. Bill described in detail what he would do, how it would reduce the radon level, and variabilities that could affect the price. We scheduled the work, and when Bill had a cancellation, he called to see if I wanted to have him come earlier. He remembered that I wanted to get the work done asap due to not wanting the radon issue to be a negative in my real estate transaction. He arrived on time. He and his son spent most of the day. It was a big job that involved drilling down thru the basement floor and installing a pipe with a fan that went up thru our garage and out the ceiling. Additionally he installed the sump pump and seal top, and did all the caulking. He set up the radon test and returned when due to pick up the post work test. Our house is now well within the safe range at .2 from 7.9 before the work. The cost came in at the lower end of his estimate. He provided me with all the paperwork the realtors would need to verify that work was done and left information that I will pass on to the new owners.
