 + -1 moreI purchased a Big deal for Eastside Exterminators. We were having problems with rats getting in the house. I believe we were treated fairly, they were very thorough with the work they done. They followed up on the service and now we have them come out quarterly. They have done better work than others that we used in the past. They set traps and repaired the holes where they were getting in the house.

I was a little unclear as to what they were offering before they came so I was not really happy with what they ended up offering. I could have gone and purchased the rat traps myself. They gave me a bid for what it would cost to clean out the whole issue but it was way over the top based on further research that I did with other companies. So, I never took their bid but I did pay for the evaluation. I ended up having another person come out and they cleaned up the whole thing and charged about one-sixth of what this company was quoting me. The company I ended up using said they would not have charged me for the evaluation. The woman who came out from Eastside was considerate and professional.
Description of Work: I used Eastside Exterminators for pest control and exterminating. We had a problem with rats and they basically came to evaluate the situation but did not really give me any value for my money, from my perspective. The technician who came out looked through my crawl space so it took a lot of time and it is a messy job. They left some rat traps but those are pretty cheap.

He was going to spray in 2 months when he did my neighbor's house. Be careful when speaking to this company. I want this charge deleted. the office even said BAD. BAD

I don't think the price was really cheap. I think it was an average price that anybody would charge for those services but I was very happy with what I got. They tried to give me the best that I could get for less money. They really worked with me.
Description of Work: I used the "Big Deal" that I purchased for Eastside Exterminators for rodent service. I ended up going with the full routine and getting them to seal all the holes, replace some insulation.

 + -1 moreWow! The inspector was there when I got home, before our scheduled appointment time. He had already been in my yard, taking photos, climbing on the roof to see if there was damage/entry points (with a previous company, we never saw photos, and they never went on the roof - I am impressed!). He went through each point on a graph, telling me what needed to be done, and how much it would cost. He told me what the next steps were and how to arrange for the next appointment. This company was fast, honest about what they were going to do, and willing to work with me on the aesthetics of the material that they used on my roof. It's not the prettiest thing to have flashing on many points of my roof where it previously did not exist, but it is a lot better than the alternative of rodents in the attic, and they tell me the flashing can be painted. Big points for customer service and friendliness!
Description of Work: First visit was a Rodent Inspection, just to check things out, also setting traps. Second visit was the fix, closing up all entry points that were found, mostly on our roof, and checking the traps inside the attic. There is one more visit scheduled to do a final check of the traps (in case they closed any creature inside).

 + -1 moretheir agent/technician Steve showed up on time and did the job "preventative outdoor pest control spray service" as agreed upon in advance. we visited their informative website and actually used a on-line coupon that we printed off for a discount. we have another home in mesa arizona where we have the same treatment done 2X a year. it's 1/2 the cost in arizona for a similar sized property, i don't know why it's more expensive here. this is the 2nd time that we are using EASTSIDE and we will probably use them again.
Description of Work: sam scheduled the appointment, steve showed up on time, survey property listen to home owner & FAQ. performed preventative outdoor pest control spray service. what ever was done seemed to have worked as we are outdoor pest free for now.

Description of Work: I had some rats living in my downstairs crawlspace off of my garage with access through cracks in my foundation and other possible access points. Of course, they also gained access to my attic crawlspace. I was completely freaking out, immediately went online to angies list and found a $99 rodent inspection, trapping and exclusion report deal with Eastside Exterminators. I was able to get an appointment the second day. Wendy Jacobson arrived to assess the extent of the problem. She was great - extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable and provided a detailed report with pictures after her complete inspection of all areas of my property and home. She set traps in the attic and super gross crawlspace. We discussed her report in detail. Since I had experienced a problem with rodents previously, I decided it was time to get serious and proceeded with rodent exclusion and crawlspace restoration. All workmen arrived on time as scheduled and did a superb job! Scott Sommer, Jason Akers and Hector and his crew were great. I plan to sign up for the Pest Protection Program to discourage return visitors! Use Eastside Exterminators! Great company, owned by a woman,and they know what they're doing!

 + -1 moreMy wife saw a rat in the basement. Soon after I called Eastside and they came and performed their services. So the problem has been solved.
Description of Work: Two technicians came and explained the process and what was included in the coupon. The explained options as well as what they would do. They examined the crawl spaces in the attic and under the house. The took pictures and drew sketches to explain what they found. The set traps in both crawl spaces and did the work to close off animal and rodent access in the basement crawl space. They came back to check after one week to make sure that all spaces had been closed. Since the traps had not been tripped, it was clear that their work was effective. During their work, the discovered a plumbing problem and let us know so that we could get that fixed. They offered optional insulation services, which we declined.

Left two live traps on ledge by dormer. Two squirrels caught that afternoon and evening. Third one caught later. No problems since.

I wasn't home at the time Wendy came out and talked to my wife, so Wendy came out another time to talk with me about the work to be performed and was very thorough and polite.  + -1 moreSpotty. Estimate and appt went well - Central Office scheduled and inspector arrived about an 30 min late. Ok, forgive that. The tech who came out to close up any openings was great -- very nice and efficient. But the estimater who also gave me a bid for more work didn't return phone calls -- even when I was calling for a followup appt! They lost business from me due to her (lack of) service.

 + 0 moreOverall good experience. Wendy came out and was very thorough in her report on where mice were getting in, where they could get in in the future, and the damage they had done. She was very friendly to work with and professional. The workers came in and protected the interior of our house well from the debris they were removing from the crawlspace. The only complaint I had with the entire experience was that they let my dog out of the house. My neighbor called and luckily saw my little dog running down the side of the road, so we were able to catch her before she got to far. The only reason I gave a "B" on price is that I am not sure if it was an "excellent" price or not. Unfortunately with pest control exclusion, you can't really price shop. It costs money to have anyone come out and do initial report and set traps. It seemed to be a fair price though. In addition to giving me the Angie's List discount, they gave me an extra 3% off for paying with check.
Description of Work: Rodent inspection and exclusion report. 700 sq ft of crawl space redone. Removed old insulation and visqueen. Rodent exclusion in the crawlspace and preemptively done on the attic. New insulation and visqueen added.
