Referred us to a very knowledgeable wood supplier. Worked with us on coordinating dates (given we had a bigger remodel going on at the same time). Also worked with us on stain selection as well as type of finish. We also used some sound insulation under-layment on the hardwood upstairs. ADL Flooring helped select and gave us a fair price. After the work was done and we noticed one or two minor spots that needed touch up, ADL Floors came back within a few days to address, and offered to come back if we saw anything else we wanted addressed. ADL Floors also discussed benefit to the flooring (and new cabinets) of adding whole house humidifier, which we ended up pursuing separately through other channels. The work was done over the Christmas holiday while we were out of town...which we sincerely appreciated, knowing the owner wanted to spend as much time with family as possible during the holiday season.

ADL was one of six contractors we called in to quote replacement of our quirky flooring which had been flood damaged. They were not the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive, but I give them an A rating for proving to be a great value. When our original floor was installed eight years prior, the contractor had not allowed enough time for the exotic wood to acclimate. Within days after the final coat of finish, the 3.25" wide planks began to move, resulting in a constant "snap" and "pop" as gaps opened up between the planks. Although the contractor came back in and shimmed, filled and applied another coat of Swedish finish; as the wood darkened with age, the shims became more of an eyesore. It was a very frustrating experience we wanted to avoid repeating. This time around, we vetted contractors and chose ADL for a number of reasons: A) Spending a little time with owner Dinu, we got the correct impression he took our concerns very seriously and we could easily communicate with one another. Having dealt with all kinds of contractors when we originally self-contracted construction of our home, this is certainly a key ingredient not to be overlooked. B) We liked Dinu's professional approach - from his modern dustless equipment to his detailed quotation. C) In addition to Angie's list and the Washington State Floor Covering Association, Dinu has gone the extra mile to become one of the few certified professionals you'll find listed by the National Wood Flooring Association - a sign of professionalism and requisite knowledge/experience. D) While he has a crew, Dinu is small enough that he could assure us he would be on site working the job personally as opposed to just overseeing a crew. E) Dinu came across as a hard working Christian and family man seeking to build a business through quality work. Some of the contractors we've encountered almost act like they are doing us a favor by taking on the work whereas Dinu obviously wanted the job. I've waited some four months to write this review in order to ensure nothing unexpected came up. Dinu and crew came in promptly to remove the old baseboards and flooring. They were careful to number and stack the existing clear coated VG fir base molding and consistently cleaned up after themselves. Dinu was very patient with us as we allowed the bundles of new flooring to acclimate several weeks before installation, then several more weeks of acclimation prior to sanding and finish. They did a great job repairing and reinstalling the base molding and shoe, part of which had been damaged by the flood mitigation contractor. A couple of weeks after the final coat, Dinu came back personally to touch up a small area which had a minor sheen issue. The floor is beautiful and we continue to be very pleased with the results all around. We would highly recommend ADL floors without reservation.

We wanted our Great Room floors refinished while we were out of the home vacationing. We arranged to have another contractor who lives close by to let them into the home and guide them in the project. They worked very effectively with our other contractor and we got an excellent job while we were gone. Our other contractor was so impressed with them he introduced them to another of his customers and ADL did their floors too.

Dinu Luca, the owner, came out to take measurements, and give us a quote. He was very professional, checking the moisture levels around the house, and coming across very knowledgable. He came highly recommended. ADL floors was very professional, and did great work. They would always let us know when they would be coming and going, and stuck to their schedule. The floors look amazing, needless to say, we are happy with the result. They added wooden flooring to the existing ones, and you cannot tell where the old floors start and the new ones begin. The people working for ADL floors were very courteous, and respectful of our home. They resolved issues quickly and to our satisfaction, and we highly recommend them ourselves. The equipment they used was very good as well. There was a lot of sanding involved, but when they were done, there was hardly any dust. We would definitely use them again.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Dinu came quickly to assess the situation, provide an estimate and explain the options. The work was scheduled within a very short period of time. He and his assistant were extremely careful about isolating the remainder of the house from the work areas, hanging plastic sheeting and covering and taping drawer openings, for example. The work was done carefully and efficiently. They also were extremely careful about cleaning up; I was surprised at how little residual dust was apparent after they finished. Even with a very careful job of covering things I thought there would be a lot more. And the result is absolutely beautiful - a huge difference. Dinu also left us a supply of pads for the legs of furniture to be placed on the new floor, as well as cleaning supplies. All in all, one of the most satisfying experiences I've had with a contractor.

He came the first time,and looked at our samples and agreed with our choice. We asked for recommendations from him, and felt he was being very truthful and in line with our ideas. He measured and got back to us within a couple of days with the estimate. We felt it was very fair for his reputation and quality of work. He came to our home while the flooring was acclimating to measure for moisture. A little over a week later, he called and started work the next day. His crew were polite and very considerate of our home. They completed the job in three days. No more carpet ( they removed it ) and now gorgeous floors throughout our home! Fabulous work! Would use him again and recommend to all friends and family!

This is the second time we have used Dinu for work and both times he has done a fantastic job. We had a very tight schedule due to the closing of our old house and other work being done in the new house and Dinu did a great job working around painters and our schedule. Sometimes even coming later in the evening or on the weekends to make sure things got done. As for the quality of the work, it is fantastic. We can't tell where the old floor ended and the new floor begins. Everything is beautifully blended. We also have to deal with moisture problems on our property and he did a great job constantly testing humidity levels and leaving expansion gaps for things to settle in perfectly. We have young kids that I am sure will necessitate we refinish our floors at some point in the future, we will definitely be giving Dinu a call when that is needed.

They did a great job refinishing the existing hardwood, installing a new hardwood floor in the family room and blend it all together with an oil finish. The crew was professional and the owner is a real professional knowing his trade extremely well. After ripping out the carpet in the family room he measured the moisture which was too high, went down in the crawl to check what the reason for that was and actually discovered that the water heater leaked and we had water standing in the crawl. He not only alerted us of the water issue but also rented us a dehumidifier to get the moisture down in the subfloor and checked several times dropping by our house. I think an average flooring company would have just put the floor down, cashed in and move on where ADL floors went the extra mile to make sure they did a superior job and that we would not run into moisture issues down the road by getting in the floors to early. Overall super happy with the quality, professionalism and craftsmanship, we are planning to have the stairs done by them in the near future.

It was great. This is the 3rd time I am using ADL floors and have been very happy with the service and quality of work. They have always been on schedule and have an exemplary workmanship. I have also recommended them to many friends over the last 7 years and I have always had friends call me back to let me know how happy they were with the work. I will be using them again in the future for refinishing my hardwoods as I have a large dog who has put a few scratches on the floor. We have even given them the house keys when on vacation and found them to be very trustworthy. They are punctual, familiar with the latest industry trends, competitive prices, flawless work. I had also used them in my old house which had partial hardwood in Swedish finish. We went with clear finish floors and they matched it perfectly. You could not tell the old floors (16 years old) from the new when they were done. Also we had several carpeted areas that we converted to hardwoods. They matched those areas so well that you could not even tell that there was a different kind of flooring before. I definitely recommend them for any hardwood flooring needs. You will be very happy with the service.

We hired Dinu Luca to do hardwood floor installation in our whole house - top and bottom floor. Dinu's estimate was higher than some of the other estimates we received but he was the most detail oriented and professional person and we chose to go with him. When he came to give a bid, he bought a moisture meter with him - he was the only one who did that and he told us he may need to investigate further and see if additional vapor barrier needs to be put in. He also told us that he would put in samples of the stains so we could choose when we're ready. We did the work in two steps - first we did the top floor (on Dinus suggestion since the workers wouldn't need to go back up once the top floor was done), and then the bottom floor. Dinu was professional - he started the work on time, and finished on time. He was willing to hear feedback and fix things that we pointed out (minor things along the way). He took care of simple details like -- our kitchen already had hardwood and the dining room next to it had carpet, he took some slats out of the kitchen to give the floor a more continuous feel between the kitchen and the dining room. Since he was suspecting moisture, he went into the crawl space to inspect and there was some water. He then determined that he would leave some spacing on the floor and let the wood acclimatize for some more days and shifted his schedule to come back a week later and continue. I am now getting some other work done (painting) by another contractor and I can feel the difference in the small things Dinu took care of - example covering up other areas and every little inch that didn't need to be open, when we were living in the house making sure that the tools / materials were tucked away in a corner rather than all over the place, making room for us to go to specific rooms if we needed to, etc. Overall I felt that if I had hired someone else, they may not have provided the attention to detail as Dinu had and we were very happy with his work. I would definitely highly recommend him and hire him in the future if needed.,

Owner of ADL came to our home, gave a bid; explained in detail exactly what he would be doing. We discussed in detail our responsibility to be ready for him to start the job. (we gave him a very narrow window in which to do the work and he agreed to do it at the time specified). We discussed what we thought he could and could not fix in the refinish work. He indicated that he could repair some old work (I was skeptical, but told him it would be wonderful if he could do what he said). We did all the prep and left town for the time his crew would be working in our home. He and his crew came in, did the work in about 3 - 4 days and were finished. We arrived home a week later and were amazed that he did exactly what he indicated he could do! He fixed some spots I felt were probably impossible to fix! In the process of putting all of our furniture back in the house we discovered two places where the finish had globed into small ridges and called him. He was out to our home within a day or two and fixed them to better than we expected. I would give this company my highest recommendation. I've recommended him to my son and four of my friends. Everyone who comes into our home comments on how beautiful the floors look; we are pleased to give the credit to this company we found in the Yellow pages, ADL Floors. One last thing: his bid was hundreds of dollars less than a much larger and more famous floor refinisher in the Seattle area! Hooray for the little guys! We chose to apply a special non-toxic finish which is uncommon and Dinu was very helpful in finding all the right information and how to make sure it was done the right way. It is very pleasant to find someone who is so involved in his work and cares so much about his craft. All his workers are trustworthy and professional. He was very arranging for the timings as we were already living in the house at the time and worked around the clock to make it happen in order to make the least inconvenient for us.

Our experience with ADL floors is probably the least stressful experience we have ever had with contractors. It was really easy to work with them and the results are wonderful. I contacted Dinu on the phone and asked him for an estimate. He came to the house the next day, measured everything and discussed with us the different options we had (add a border between the old floors and new floors, invert the direction of the new wood boards, or refinish the old wood floors to match the new ones). He sent us a very detailed estimate the next day, and to my surprise, his bid was lower than the other ones we had requested. I say to my surprise because I would have chosen him over the others in a second for his professionalism and credentials, so I was expecting him to be the most expensive one. He also worked with us on the price, so we very really pleased with that. We scheduled to start the work a few weeks later. It took them 4 days to finish the work, exactly what he had estimated. Our new floors look fantastic, and you can't tell the difference at all between the old floors and the new ones Dinu and his crew installed. They were very respectful of our house and made sure to cover all areas with plastic so that it wouldn't get dusty everywhere. When they were done the house was so clean it didn't look like we had had contractors in the house for 4 days. My husband and I are extremely pleased with ADL Floors work. I would not hesitate to contact them again for any future needs.

As this was the third time I had used ADL floors, I knew what to expect. They did all the work while we were out of town. When we left, we had a worn old vinyl floor. When we came back one week later, we had a beautiful new maple floor with all new baseboards and base-shoe. The house was immaculate, as they very carefully tape plastic to segregate the work area from the rest of the house. The kitchen floor is beautiful, as are all the other floors in the house which Dinu had done previously. He and his staff never stop....they work really hard, and are so nice to deal with. They are trustworthy, and I never worried about them having access to our home while we were gone. I recommended them to our neighbors, and they also are extremely happy with the beautiful floors they now have.

I sought the services of ADL Floors for a 400 ft² hardwood floor installation after being highly recommended from a friend of mine. Mr. Luca and his team were very booked at the time I contacted them, but he was to able to renegotiate his schedule and fit my project in between existing contracts. The installation started and finished on time, and the team didn't leave until the flooring was completely installed and rooms returned to a tidy condition. In summary, I am very pleased with the quality of the finished job, as well as the attention to detail exhibited during the installation. The following are some of the specific reasons as to why I recommend ADL Floors for your hardwood flooring project. Timeliness and Professionalism - Took time to explain which hardwood materials were suitable for my condominium, explaining the cost-benefit of each option (this was done while Mr. Luca was busy at the local big-box hardware store!) - Arrived a few minutes early, ready to start at agreed-upon time; started job immediately once given access to rooms. - Stayed much later than he anticipated in order to finish the job on the same day. - Job site was swept and vacuumed upon completion; garbage disposed of and hauled away when on-site dumpster was inadequate. Attention to Detail - Avoided using pieces of hardwood flooring that were too discolored and would give a discontinuity to the overall look of the floor. - Provided suggestions as to which molding and transition pieces were appropriate for my installation. - Reinstalled baseboard trim with new nails, covered nail holes/heads with appropriate material, touched-up any color damage to baseboard caused by removal, sealed gap between baseboard and wall with caulk restoring original look.

With 2 kids at home, we wanted to get the carpet in our living-dining area replaced with hardwood floor. We got the referral for ADL Floors (Dinu Luca) from a very good friend who had used his services in the past for their home. She is a real estate agent and had referred him for several other homes and had positive feedback from all of them. That greatly increased our confidence in using ADL Floors. We also received a quote from a couple of other places and ADL Floors was by far the best value. We are extremely happy with the work that ADL Floors have done. We had part of our home hardwood floor (by original constructors) and part (living+dining) carpet and they had to match the whole place with the same look/finish. They did a fantastic job of matching the shades. I cannot tell the difference where the old flooring ends and the new one starts. The old floor was fully sanded and re-polished giving it a brand new look. Dinu was very professional and prompt. He visited us on a Sunday evening to give us free quote/estimate (to meet our schedule). They started the work as per our requirement and schedules on 12/17 and completed the work on 12/19 as per their original commitment of 3-4 days. These guys are absolutely trustworthy. We left the entire house unlocked and with the keys with them. They left the place *absolutely* mess free. Not a single piece of paper/sandpaper or old carpet/debris that I had to throw out. Bottomline, I would use ADL Floors again in a blink without a second thought. I would STRONGLY recommend them. The only down side is your wife may ask you to buy new furniture to match the new looking floor. ;-)

We received a recommendation for our job from a neighbor who used ADL floors. They had received a recommendation from a family member who used ADL. Both were very happy with their floors. We called Dinu and he promptly came (at our convenience) to give us an estimate. He was very professional and easy to work with. We were pleased with the estimate and made arrangements for the installation. The job took 3 days as he told us. The prep work to keep our house as dust free as possible was more than we expected. We had very little dusting etc. to do. We can't say enough about how pleased we are with the job. No one can tell where the new and old floors were laced together. We felt totally comfortable with him having the key to our house and us not being there. We will definitely use them again for any flooring work. We highly recommend them!

The whole experience was good, they came in covered the stairways and rest of the house with clean foil, to prevent messing it up. continued the job throughout the two days (two rooms and hallway, total 400ft), and left the place perfectly clean.

This is the second project I have done with ADL Flooring. Like the prior project the work went smoothly, on scheduled and the quality of finished work is outstanding. I have used three other hardwood floor companies in the past. ADL Flooring is by far the best I have dealt with.
