Description of Work: Repair drywall stress cracks. Steve squeezed this small job into his schedule and arrived exactly when he said. He was very professional, did a very good job with the repairs and cleaned up really well before leaving. I was very satisfied with the work and the cost seemed reasonable.

+ -1 moreWe had a great experience with Reliable Texture. Steve was great to arrive beforehand to provide and estimate on how much the job would cost. We had some delays with waiting for inspections to be performed before they could start - I felt terrible because we had a date planned but it got pushed out about 4 days. Steve took it in stride and told me not to worry that he would fit us into their existing schedule even though he was booked for the rest of the month. Sure enough, his team arrived asap and was able to complete the job as to not delay us any further with our painters and floor install for the new bathroom. Their work looked great and they were even able to match the existing bullnose corners throughout the house in our closet & new bathroom so it looks seamless and already part of the house (not an obvious remodel or addition) Thank you so much for all your hard work Steve & team! We will definitely give you a shout if we have any more drywall needs in the future.

I had questioned whether I really needed the bedroom wall retextured, but I was so pleased with the end result that I was glad I had moved forward with having it done. The texture now matches the other walls (as it should). What a difference! The display shelf was really a mess to deal with but Steve reworked it and made it beautiful. It is exactly what I had imagined and had wanted for a long time. I look forward to adding the glass shelves and displaying some beautiful glass pieces in my now beautiful display shelf. I would hire Reliable Texture for any future drywall work without any hesitation.
Description of Work: Reliable Texture (Steve and an assistance) redid and refinished a display cabinet that had been started several years ago and never finished. They also retextured a bedroom wall where the texture did not match the other walls in the room.

+ -1 moreHe was done with the installation very quickly, and returned to finish the texture, which was a little tricky due to the unusual breakout pattern. We are extremely happy with how this turned out; it borders on the artistic, really. We were concerned about matching the repair to the rest of our family room without turning the whole job into a major science project...but Steve truly did great work. We will hire him again, and encourage others to do so.
Description of Work: Steve replaced 8 pieces of 5'8" drywall due to ceiling damage caused by an upstairs leak, tape and hand brocade for the texture.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. The estimator Steve, and another worker, came out when promised and worked for about 4-5 hours each on the problem cracks. They put down plastic and also protected the furniture, floors, and other things below and adjacent to the areas that needed work. They walked me around the repairs when they were finished and explained the 3 or 4 areas that would also need to be painted to blend in (they don't do painting). They gave me several options for repair, and all was well explained and performed as promised. Very pleasant experience. The full name is Relable Texture and Drywall, LLC according to the receipt...at the 9305 NE 14th Way Vanc address.
Description of Work: repaires about 15 cracks in drywall, plaster and ceiling that had accumulated over the years due probably to settling or wood drying after we moved into the new home. Some of the cracks were many feet long. And the work was in 6+ different parts of the house so each area was a work site.

Description of Work: The foreman, Steve, came to my condo, gave me an estimate and was back to do the work in two days! The workers went out of their way to accomodate me and my partner, Susan. They even did some electrical work that was not in their estimate. The workers completely finished the dry wall repairs, applied texture to the walls and cleaned up afterwards. Everything done exceeded my expectations. The workmen were pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and fast. They did an outstanding job fixng up a forty year old condo.

+ -1 moreWe were ultimately unhappy with the service from Reliable largely to the surliness of one of their lead workers on the job,a lack of properly. Protecting our carpet and stairs which got wet mud on them and had to be cleaned up by my wife and I when we got home from work. The owners were gracious about this and reduced the amount of the bill by 75 but overall our experience was a poor one and I wouldn't rehire this company.
Description of Work: Drywall laundry room, staircase and smooth coated a bathroom and dry walled one wall in bathroom.

He wasn't over priced and the job has held up swimmingly for the past 2 years. He even patched a few 'extra' areas that needed some love and the house looks great. Plus he has an awesome mustache.

Their bid was the lowest of three that we received, but we were most impressed by their ability to be flexible in working around the schedules of our painter and electrician. Their team was incredibly quick, neat and professional and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. We would most definitely use them again on a future project.

+ 0 moreWe couldn?t be more satisfied. While we are very happy with our new floors, our new ceiling completes the picture and the transition from the kitchen to the dining room is seamless. It took him and his crew about 5 hours from arrival to departure and everything was cleaned up and looking good. With respect to reliability, and I LOVE this part, you can set your clock to when he says he?ll be there. I?ve used his services twice before and it was exactly the same: ?I?ll be there at 8 am? ? and at 8 am he and his crew are there getting busy! But just because you?re punctual doesn?t mean you?re good. Well, in Larry?s case he and his crew ARE dang good ? like I said before, they?re professionals meaning you will not be able to do what they do, and factor in the time, materials, knowledge, etc. and it is a no-brainer to choose Reliable Texture. We have one more project to do in the coming years and we will for certain use his services. We?ve also recommended him to a few of our friends to the same results.
Description of Work: We decided to go ahead with replacing our floors in January. That usually means the new floors will make the rest of the structures look, well, dated. Our house was built in the early 70’s and for example, had a false wall between the kitchen and dining room that we wanted removed. Since we were going to have to repaint the walls and ceiling (given the old floors were out anyway), we also looked at the ceiling texture and asked ourselves if we wanted to live with that for another 15+ years?!! Short answer: NO!! We called Larry as he did work for us before. What we wanted was for him to not only repair the drywall for the old wall that we removed and blend it in with the false ceiling, but retexture about another 800-900 sq ft of ceiling, including the 14 foot entry hall. He came out, looked it over, and this is the best part – let us know the different options and the cost/benefits of each. Working with Larry before I know he’s not a BS guy and isn’t in it to take your money and do so-so work. That is, this is work you better hire a professional to do. If you don't hire a pro, you accept full responsibility for the results. And Larry will tell you that he's seen plenty of messes in his time – don’t be one of them.

+ -1 moreAfter I opened a section of the wall to repair waterlines, I was able patch the wall with sheetrock, but didn't have the expertise to blend the obtuse corner of the wall to the patch or apply orange peel texture in a way to blend nicely. I called and left a message to Reliable Texture, and Larry returned the call by the end of the business day and we were able to schedule an appointment for the following day. Larry and his crew arrived promptly, were professional, and completed the job in outstanding time with expert results. Well worth having Larry and his crew do this job. My kitchen wall looks flawless again! I will call Reliable Texture again, and highly recommend them for your drywall needs!
Description of Work: I had a minor 5' x 3' open section of wall that I opened up near an obtuse corner. I was able to sheetrock the patched area, but the mudding and orange peel texture was beyond my expertise - Larry and his crew taped, mudded, and textured the wall. They blended it seamlessly with the rest of the wall.

Once I fired them I found reliable texture and he came out the next morning to look at the project. They had the quote to me the next day and started working the Monday that I wanted them too! He cleaned up after himself and they were very very quick! I honestly couldn't have been happier with their service.

+ -1 moreLarry looked at the job Thursday, told me the price for the repair, and said he would get back to me about when we could get the repair done. To my amazement, he was able to return within 48 hours to do the actual repair. His crew were very polite and professional, being very courteous of my wife, who was sleeping due to shift work. Within an hour of their arrival, Larry had put in wood to give more support to the drywall being installed, installed the drywall, and re-textured it, making an exact match to the existing texture, despite there being numerous different textures on the ceiling. His crew left the house cleaner than it was when they arrived. Larry even made a follow up call to make sure we were completely pleased with the results. While on scene, we asked him for a bid on some work in our dining room, which he happily provided. He not only placed the bid, he helped secure the drywall that had some water damage, so it would be OK until we could afford to hire him for the extra work. The repair is nearly invisible to anyone who did not know the hole existed originally. Once I paint the living room, which I planned to do anyway, this repair will not show even to those who knew where the hole was.
Description of Work: Larry Granroth came out to my residence to repair a hole that I had made in the ceiling in my living room. The hole was approximately three feet by two feet, and was made while attempting to find a leak in my roof.

+ -1 moreParts of the job came out incredibly well. Other parts did not. One small area of touch up came out worse than before. Reliability of them being there has been okay. They showed up on the day they said they would. Overall good work and very nice guys, but the detail is not quite enough to earn an A rating. If you want a masterpiece they may not be the right company (granted parts of the job look masterful). However, if you want a good job at a fair price then they may be an excellent choice.

+ -1 moreThey were very professional and I liked them from the start. We pushed back the date that we'd be ready for them a couple of times and they were flexible and understanding to that. The job looks great - the texture and seams are quite good. Jan is who I spoke to on the phone each time that I called, and she was patient and friendly and made a first-time home owner and re-modeler feel at ease. Their invoice came in exactly as estimated. I was referred to Larry and John through word of mouth, and can not recommend them strongly enough. They really did a good job by me, were there when they said they would be, gave me accurate time frames when they thought that it would take a couple of days before the next step, etc.
Description of Work: Larry, John, and crew came in and did a very fast, very good job installing drywall on my kitchen, living room, and bathroom. We had the area clean of the old drywall, nails, the right heights, etc. They removed existing texture from the living room ceiling and re-textured that, repaired some holes to the existing ceiling in the kitchen, and textured everything.
