His work is very good. I trust him completely. He is always on time and does exactly what he says he is going to do. He is a very capable business man. I have already recommended him to several people. His prices are comparable; I would even pay more to be able to use him.
Description of Work: Two years ago he painting our living room, dining room, and kitchen area. This year he painted three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

He is very knowledgeable, prompt, honest, and had fair prices. The painters were excellent, very carefull on all the edges of the windows. They were very, very good. I like the coverage of all the rooms. I was very pleased with them. They only took a day and a half to paint a large area. They were fast, efficient, and the painters were very quiet, I barely knew they were here. Nick Springer, the owner, is very friendly, outgoing, and readily available whenever I had questions. The rooms they rolled were also very nicely done. I'm very pleased.
Description of Work: He repainted the main rooms of the house. He did the ceiling too. He painted with a sprayer. Three of the rooms were rolled not sprayed.

We had a very frustrating experience with them. The owner of the company came out and we talked about what the painters were going to do. When the guys came out to paint, it's like they skipped some prep work: they painted over carpet fibers that were stuck to some molding when some steel wool would have taken care of the problem. I wasn't happy with the trim and they didn't prep the wall even though it would have only required a little bit of spackling. He shouldn't have taken the job if he thought he could do a good job. He got very defensive and told me that the past paint job was what made the current one look so bad. He told me 15 times that it was the previous paint jobs and nothing about his painters or their lack of prepping. I had them come back twice to fix the major problems. I felt harassed.

We hired Creekside based on a close friend?s recommendation as well as their Angie?s List reports. Nick Springer gave us an estimate of $5548 to paint the exterior of our home. After looking at the exterior siding, he suggested using satin texture paint as it would last longer than flat. The job included treating moss on the roof and cleaning the gutters. Upon completion of the job, we found the results unsatisfactory. The paint job looked splotchy and uneven. Nick said that was due to the lack of uniformity of the texture of the siding. He stated it could be made to look a bit better with additional coats, but he would have to charge us for the extra labor. We felt that the additional work necessary was a result of Nick?s mistake in recommending the satin finish over flat. He also said that flat would have not looked much better. We disagree and think flat would have substantially eliminated the reflective unevenness of the siding. The prior paint on the home was flat white and didn?t substantially show an uneven finish. Because of the additional painting done to try to even out the look, the pick-up issues and end-of-job detail items were not done and Nick had to have one of his people spend an additional day and a half to complete those issues. I was charged $1163 (22.5 hrs) extra for the additional painting to mitigate the splotchy appearance along with the errors and incomplete items at the end. We were refunded $100 because the gutter cleaning was incomplete and the roof was never treated as promised. After the job was complete, we found areas of our brickwork patio and roof that had overspray and debris (photos included). We counted on Nick?s over 20 years in the business for expert advice and suggestions. Ultimately the paint job was marginal and it took a lot more money and unnecessary grief to achieve a marginally acceptable result. We would not recommend Creekside.

Very friendly to start. Paint job looked superficially OK, but on inspection found bubbles, missed spots, and incomplete coverage on siding grooves (t-111). Pressed not to hold up part of payment - "we'll treat you right" promise - we found that upon payment service became sullen, and non-existent. Don't fall for it. Insist on 10% hold back until acceptance.

Nick was very accommodating about working the schedule. The job went very well. We provided money up-front for the paint, which was delivered to us directly from the paint supplier. The painting crew showed up on time, did a great job on the exterior painting, and cleaned up well before finishing. The final bill was as expected, and we would certainly hire this company again.
Description of Work: We had Creekside paint the exterior of our home. Nick Springer came to provide a free bid. Their price was neither the highest nor lowest of the bids we received. We selected them based on the many fine reports on Angie's List. Nick provided good advice about paint options and maintenance over time. We were trying to get this job squeezed between other work being done on the exterior of our house, Creekside's other schedule of jobs, and our scheduled vacation during the early fall.

The crew arrived in the afternoon after finishing some exterior work on another house. They did a good job on the actual painting but did not take appropriate care to protect our hardwood floors with tarps and trim around the doors and baseboards. When finished, there was ground-in dirt on the floors (from caked mud on their shoes) and a scattering of small paint spleckles on both the hardwood floors and wood trim. I told Nick about the problems, and he confessed that he had rushed the crew to finish this work between other jobs. He offered to have them come back and clean, but I had already done that. The cleanup was not that hard to do myself, but I was disappointed with the overall approach. These problems could have been prevented by taking more care in the first place.
Description of Work: We had Creekside paint a tall (16 feet) hallway. We had used the company previously for exterior painting and were very satisfied with that experience. This work was done in the winter.

Called for an estimate, operator was nice enough stressing the "25%" discount on the initial and subsequent calls. Waited for 10 days for the company to send out an estimator, no calls, no show so I called again, the operator said they would send someone out, "right away", and two days later one of their painters showed up. He was very unprofessional, unsure of what to bid and after standing around for 1+ hours, he was still unable to even write up a bid. Haven't heard from them since. Very poor service, I would never use them.

Nick was very pleasant to work with on the initial estimate. He gave us generally good and accurate advice, though some of the things he said were not entirely accurate (these were minor points though). For example we wanted the corner pieces painted the trim color and he stated that most people don't do that (there's an additional cost), but we drove around our neighborhood and found that most houses actually did have the corners painted the trim color. Nick had 2 gallons of mixed paint sent to our house prior to the paint crew so we could verify the correct colors, they were right on, though the trim paint was the wrong grade (was supposed to be Sherwin Williams Duration, but we got A100, a cheaper grade). The pressure washing guy he sent was super nice, he even helped me move my boat out of they way to get ready for paint and later came back after the paint to help put the boat back. He did a good job washing the house. A few days later the paint crew came. The were 3 or 4 young kids (college age), but were very professional and courteous, though they had less experience than I was initially comfortable with (only 4 months for one that I had asked). They did an OK job scraping and some minimal caulking and priming (I would have been happier with more here), but their masking job was superb (they covered everything so paint wouldn't get on it, even a nearby gazebo and pond). The actual paint job was top notch also. They did miss a few spots, but readily corrected them when pointed out. Also we changed our mind during the paint job and had the downspouts for the gutters painted the trim color (originally they were painted the base color), they were happy to do this, but we were charged extra (understandably). The clean up afterwards was very well done also (only found a couple spots where some very small amounts of masking tape was left behind). Overall a very good job.
Description of Work: Painted the exterior of the entire house (T1-11 siding) with custom colors, including all prep work (pressure washing, scraping, caulking, masking, priming) and clean up afterwards.

As stated above, all went exceptionally well. Price was good, performance was excellent, clean-up was exceptional. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that I talk to who will be in need of painting in the future. Great job! Thank you so much!
Description of Work: Sergie came out to give me an estimate. Nick called to advise when they would be out to pressure wash. That was done as specified. Two days later, two nice young people came out to tape off the windows and doors. Then Sergie showed up and painted the whole house - two coats - in one day. Every piece of tape, plastic and paper were cleaned up. The house is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't be happier.

It went fine. I found them through Angie's List. I called them and they came out the next day. He gave me a bid the same day. While he was inspecting my house he found some rot by the chimney. He got a subcontractor to fix it for me. They were very cooperative. The price was the exact same as the bid. He has been very helpful.

The company went to extremes to ensure that the work was done before bad weather set in. The quality of the work was excellent and extra steps were taken to ensure complete coverage. The trim work was done neatly. Even areas where we were warned that there might be insurmountable problems came out beautifully. Clean up was thorough. Our deck was scrubbed clean where paint had dripped. The owner and employees were polite, helpful and offered great advice. A very high quality of paint was used.

Crew showed up right on time, thoroughly covered the walls, furniture, floors, etc. We only had to move a few fragile items. They cheerfully worked around furniture, bookcases, etc. They worked fast and finished in just a few hours, but with no missed spots or stray paint splatters. The ceilings look fantastic after 25 years of collecting grime.

We met with Nick Springer and told him what we wanted. He showed us examples of paint/trim colors and advised us to visit the paint store. We chose a more expensive brand of paint and he only charged us his additional cost on the difference; no mark-up. When the date came, his painting crew showed up and met with us and began the masking and taping process. They were experienced and wasted no time. When the crew supervisor began painting the trim, he stopped and came to get me. I had told him the trim color I was expecting and this was not it. He advised me to get to the paint store and pick out a new color. I picked another color and took the new trim paint back to the house. It was considerate and very professional of him to stop and ask me. The whole house looks great! There was no mess, spills or trash left. It took less time than I expected. We are very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: The house is two stories and approx. 3,500 square feet. The house was pressure washed and then all windows were masked off. Seams were caulked where needed and oil based primer was applied to any areas of bare wood. A first coat of paint was sprayed on the house. The front door hardware was removed, glass parts masked and door sprayed. The gutters and trim were hand rolled. After the first coat had dried, a second coat of paint was sprayed on the house. The tall columns on the front of the house needed putty work along with painting. The painting was done in two days (long hour days) and the masking paper, tape and trash were removed.

Nick came and gave us an estimate. Very personable guy. Went over the bid with us and gave suggestions on colors. He called and scheduled the power washing, then the painting a couple of weeks later. Met our time frame. One member of his crew came by late on the evening before (Thursday) to start masking. The next day (Friday) they worked all day and got about 75% done. They had to go back and finish another job on Saturday, but on Monday showed up and finished the job. They were very cooperative, polite, and neat. They worked with me on adjusting where the major accent color was to be applied. I did a straight trade off with Nick because I decided to have more of the major accent color painted over an area they had already painted the base color and decided not to have the second shed painted. We did end up paying more than the estimate because I ordered a custom color and it did not hide as well, but Nick made sure we understood this up front. Good cleanup by crew.
Description of Work: Prep and paint entire exterior of house and one small shed; 3 colors Prep was by power washing and some minor caulking. Painting was by spray for main body and major accent; by hand for touch up and trim.

Nick, the owner, arrived on time for the estimate, his bid came in the lowest and his outgoing friendly personality won us over. We started the process a little late in the spring so we had a bit of a wait to get it painted. Nick guessed it would be mid-June and the house was painted on Jun 14th. Doesn't get any closer than that. While we waited our turn Nick stayed in touch so we never felt forgotten. The crew was awesome, very friendly and courteous.

Nick responded to our request for a quote promptly in early August. It took us a while to decide, and he did follow-up with courtesy calls to see where we were in the decision process. When we decided to hire him ,it was late Sept, and we still hoped to have the painting done before the winter rains. He promised us a time frame and managed to get the house pressure washed a few weeks later. Much sooner than expected on a Saturday morning, we got a call that they could come that day. A crew of six came over about 10am and did a very nice complete job on the whole house. They were done around 8pm. We had a downpour of rain that started about 1am the next morning. Some of the paint did wash off, and Nick came back a week or so later and touched it all up. Overall, it was a very good paint job.
Description of Work: Our single story dwelling was pressured washed and the exterior siding received two coats of paint. All the trim was painted white. The underside of our backyard patio cover was also painted, as well as the patio structure.

Very prompt, courteous, and patient. Nick was great to work with! He provided us with an instant estimate after the evaluation, and was very helpful in picking out colors. In addition he was very patient and accommodating in waiting and changing our work date as necessary to accommodate our wait for our Homeowners Association color approval. The actual painting was done in one day, and the crew did a great job, including clean up.

On Saturday, Sept. 2, Nick called me and told me he would come and give me a bid. I went home and waited by the phone and waited for him to show up. He never did, and I had to put my day on hold. To give him some benefit of the doubt, I think he believed that I was another customer who lives in my neighborhood. However, if someone is so busy that they can't handle another job they should just be honest and say so right up front. He should also hire professional office help to keep him organized. I decided to wait until spring to paint my house and Creekside is not on my list of contractors.
