Car Forensics - We Come to You

I have never used a mobile mechanic before but had 2 cars that needed help both braking down within a week . Rather than towing them somewhere I thought I would try this instead. Of course the services cost a bit more but in the long run it balanced out. If I had to pay towing on two cars that would have been very expensive plus living alone the convenience of having someone come to me on my time schedule is worth alot. a Shelby arrived on time and I was impressed with his friendly yet professional manner. He got right to work and was very thorough. I really appreciated the time and patience he gave to me. Thanks to his detailed report I will be able to make a better decision regarding what I plan to do with a recently acquired classic car. What really impressed me was I contacted him after he had completed the job and had been paid and asked him for some additional paperwork to be done . This was not part of the job yet he still did as I asked and never made me feel like I was a bother to him. He is someone I would recommend highly . He is honest and will give you his best . A young man with old time work ethics . I know his business is going to be a huge success. I also was impressed with the lady who takes his calls and schedules his appointments. She was friendly, knowledgeable and quick witted. She made me feel at ease and her attitude was a determining factor in my decision to schedule the work. To many times I have been frustrated with the receptionist of a business. Many of them act as if they don't even know what services are provided let alone answer simple questions. The whole experience from beginning to end was positive and I will call on them for any needs my cars may have.

For the convenience of not having to have my car towed to a shop it was worth the extra charges. It was nice to have the convenience of having them come to our home and they fixed the car the same day we called for help.

Shelby arrived at my home at the agreed time and quickly diagnosed the problem with my car.He showed me what was wrong and which part was needed to fix the problem.He explained the labor and part cost .He returned an hour or so later with the part and fixed the problem.Later in the day he returned and double checked his work.Thank you Shelby I've had no problems with the car since.I will be happy to call Shelby Seely and Car Forensics with any future problems.

I really can't say enough glowing things about Shelby from Car Forensics. He was reliable, knowledgeable and highest of all, HONEST. My car had sat for over a year because I thought the engine was seized. I got Shelby's name from a co-worker and called. He diagnosed the actual problem no "well it could be this or that" "let's try this and see" you get from many mechanics. Turns out it needed a new fuel pump! He had it towed to the shop the next morning and he delivered my car back to me by that evening. I will forever have Shelby at Car Forensics on speed dial for all my car repair needs.

Shelby arrived at my house on time for our appointment. He came with all the necessary tools and test equipment, and after discussing the problem went quickly to work on my car troubleshooting the problem. Shelby demonstrates a thorough understanding of automotive electrical systems and how to troubleshoot them. In less than an hour he located the circuit(s) responsible for the parasitic drain on the battery and temporarily removed the fuse on the circuit responsible for the problem. At that point Shelby went back to his shop to research a solution and check out availability of parts. Shelby came out to my car for a few more tests and decided to take it back to his shop to disassemble areas of the car to gain access to electrical components. He found the sources of the electrical drain and made appropriate adjustments to isolate them. I am really pleased to have my car working properly again. I found Car Forensics to be a First Class diagnostic and repair facility. They have unique capabilities and their on-site-service capability is especially convenient. Shelby is knowledgeable, professional, and honest. I feel lucky to have found Car Forensics and feel that their fees are very reasonable. I highly recommend Car Forensics and will use them again if/when I have automotive electrical problems.

Very detailed and informative. Gave an honest representation of the car, the good and the bad so we can make an educated decision on buying. Had recommendations for repairs if we chose to buy, and other sources to check for other good used car options should we chose to pass on this one. Will definitely use their services in the future.

They charged $65 to come out and diagnose the issue, which was $30-$65 cheaper than the other mobile mechanics I contacted. They tested the entire electrical system, let me know exactly what the issue was and fixed the problem all within a couple of hours. They even called a few minutes ago to ask me how the car was running. THAT'S HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DONE!

We had talked earlier, and he had the part with him. He new exactly what he needed to do to fix the problem . He diligently went to work on the problem and fixed it in a timely manner. He is so good at this, that he made it look like it was an easy thing to do. He had to take the door panel off and then work on things inside the door. He knew where every thing was and where it belonged. The lock works great now. His pricing is great. He charges a flat hourly rate, I remember paying more than $300 for the same repair at an auto service company.
