Aegis Cleaning Services

The service went pretty well. They did a nice job overall but there was dust under a couple of the vents after they left.

The two guys did a fine job, except they nicked our newly painted hallway wall with the vacuum.

The experience with Aegis was terrible and they're in for a quick buck without doing the work. Since I had purchased the online coupon I had to use them but from the start it wasn't professional. It took five days to setup an appointment from my first call when their scheduling software was down, then the PC didn't reboot, to messages left for three days in a row until I was called back to setup an appointment. Then the work performed was extremely poor and actually not even done. The only technician they send over told me that on the East side he couldn't remove the leaf guard which prevented him of cleaning the gutters but that these ones were clean anyway. One down spout was clogged causing the overflow but Aegis was not unclogging down spout and furthermore they were not equipped with a snake to do this very basic job that any gutter cleaning company do. On their website (http://www.aegisclean.com/gutter.html) it says: "Gutters are gently hand scooped clean and down spouts flushed. All debris is removed and disposed of in your yard waste container. We inspect all straps, pins and downspouts to ensure a proper fit and are happy to make any repairs as needed. We can also clear below ground obstructions at an additional fee." They don't even try to flush the down spout. This poor service led me to search for Aegis reviews online and found 3 BBB complaints for 'Problems with Product/Service" this year alone, I should have done it before. Mine will be the 4th one. I've hired another company and it took them literary less than 5' to unclog the down spout and they highlighted the poor quality of work done by Aegis, gutters not cleaned showing needles, apparent nails not fixed, etc ... I strongly suggest that you look online for feedback about this company before hiring them.

They were very punctual in getting back to us and arriving on time. My only complaint would be that they were not very tidy on the actual job.

They arrived on time and were very courteous. They walked around the property and assured me that they could get the job done in the 2 hours alloted for the Angie's List Deal. Then they went to work. They worked quickly, efficiently, and neatly throughout the house. I could not believe they got the job done as quickly as they did and they did a FABULOUS job. No mess, no streaks - fabulous. I WILL be hiring them again - deal or no deal.

The girls started with the bathrooms and did a very nice job. Dusting could have been more thorough. The vacuum was carried on the back of one of the girls and it had no brush or beater bar. Since there is a deep pile on my carpets, I didn't feel she was able to do a good vacuuming. When they were finished we reviewed the list of services they brought and discovered they had not wiped down the blinds, which they did immediately. It could have been better, but at the reduced price, I was mostly satisfied.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a contractor/service provider. The first crew (that included the owner of the company, Jeff Waters) showed up about 30 minutes late with a broken machine. I had to wait another half an hour for the other crew. Jeff also miscounted the number of vents in the house and tried to charge me an additional $24 per vent that didn't exist. The second crew finally appeared and did the duct cleaning. This is why I didn't give them all Fs, since they did do the job that the came for. BUT, this is when the problems started. Before they left, they turned my furnace back on. As soon as the furnace kicked on, it filled the whole house with an intense burning smell. I asked them to come back and check the furnace. The problem is that this "professional" crew doesn't know anything about furnaces. Their conclusion was that the furnace was dirty (which it was not as I had it professionally cleaned by a reputable and expert heating/cooling company about 4 weeks ago) and that they could try cleaning it to see if the smell would disappear. I told them that I didn't want the furnace cleaned but if this is what they had to do to put my furnace in an operational state in which they found it, they would have to do it for free. They refused to do that and gave me an ultimatum: either I pay for a furnace cleaning or they will leave me without a working furnace. I called Jeff, the owner, and explained that his crew is leaving me without any heat - since I couldn't turn the heat on due to fire smell or fire hazard. I was extremely upset, and could not believe how rude and unprofessional he was. He claimed that some debris might have fallen into the furnace while the ducts were cleaned and refused to do anything to remedy the problem that they caused. In conclusion, after calling in another emergency heating/cooling company for a service call (I am pregnant with a medical condition and couldn't be without heat) and my husband having to take half a day off work, we have heat again. I am planning to pursue these damages in a complaint with the Oregon and Washington CCB's. Incidentally, Aegis Commercial Services Inc. (the true business name of the company) is not and has never been licensed with the Oregon CCB. Also, their Washington contractor's license AEGISCS928RT is currently suspended (and has been since May 7th of 2012). The license listed on their Angie's List page does not exist.

They charged extra $40 to clean an extra intake, which I guess is fair. I assume they did a good job, but hard to know.

I called this company and now, three days later they have still not called me back. The deal has now expired and I will not be doing business with them.

The crew that did the work was professional, quick and cleaned up after themselves. They use a rotary brush system that gets at all of the dust in the ducts which I liked. Because of the number of cold air returns and extra vents I have, the price did raise significantly but I knew that going in since that was defined when I scheduled the work. I am satisfied with the work they did and would use them again.

Webt quickly and well, I would use them again.

The 2 gentlemen came in right on time and were very professional. Did an outstanding job in cleaning the air vents and cleaned up after the work. Great job!!!

The Aegis team was very professional and kind. They arrived a little late, but that wasn't a big deal. They were professional, completed their services effectively and were kind!

My husband was home when the services were performed. He doesn't get too excited over anything, but said they did a good job and were professional. Everything seems better.

I live in Hillsboro and was surprised to find the company was from Vancouver. When I scheduled the job, they were very friendly and coming to Hillsboro was no problem. Two people arrived right on time. One person did the inside and the other person the outside. They managed to get all 34 windows completed within the two hour time span. The job was easier because it is all on one level. I removed the screens and cleaned them myself rather then pay extra for them to stay and clean them. I would use them again

I give them A's on everything! The guy they sent was terrific!

My only complaint is that some windows got missed, and the area in the tracks also didn't get washed. Some of the screens were improperly removed, bending the metal of the screen a bit. But, given the number of windows, I have to say they did the best they could, but I would not hire them again.

One young man was able to complete the task within the timelines. He was very quiet and pleasant to have around the house.

I received a call to let me know the expected arrival time of the cleaners, who were right on time. The two cleaners were very polite, provided good information, and offered and explained but did not push me to consider additional services. They left a dirty hand print on one ceiling, a minor flaw in an otherwise well done job. In fact they double checked all the rooms and I didn't notice the hand-print until after they left.

They did a very good job of cleaning the windows and screens. I had a friend over and she said it looked like there wasn't any glass in the windows. The gentlemen were very nice and polite. There were only two things I wish had gone different, not all of the window sills were cleaned, I had to go back over them, and the screens were left on the floor (I told them I would put them back up) and water was still draining from them. This left water spots on my hardwood floor and carpet. These two incidents were really not a big deal, I would not hesitate to call this company again or refer them to someone.

The 2 man team was abut 30 minutes late. One employee was in training, but both were efficient, polite, and clean in their service.

cleaned dryer vent, bathroom exhaust fans, and airducts. I thought they were nice, punctual and easy to work with. I thought the price was very expensive for the effort of th work. If I could rent the duct machine I would do the work on my own. It was almost as easy as vacuuming the carpet. The owners 12-14 year old son did most of the work. The owner was very knowlegeable on other areas outside of the duct cleaning business which was great. I just think 219 was very expensive.

I was unable to use the coupon but they were just fine to deal with.
