Aegis Cleaning Services

My only complaint is that Aegis was initially unresponsive in returning my calls, but once we connected, they have been nothing but professional and helpful. The cleaners showed up just as they said they would, have been courteous and worked hard to get all they could done in the 4 man-hour time slot I had purchased through Angie's List Big Deal.

NO WORRIES IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE

We bought the Angie's List "Big Deal" Gutter Cleaning package. Dealing with Aegis was a breeze. They were right on time on the agreed upon date. Their was a slight surcharge based on linear feet, very reasonable. The gutters and roof were left clean. Yard and driveway were also left clean. I would not hesitate to recommend Aegis or use them again.

This was one of those coupon deals through Angie's List and there must have been a lot of responses because it was about a month before they were available. They were very polite and professional with scheduling. The day for the scheduled cleaning they arrived on time, cleaned all the windows inside and out and kept everything neat and clean and were finished within an hour. The windows looked great and still do. I was impressed with the quality of work and their professionalism.

It went very well. They even offered to perform other tasks such as cleaning out our dryer vent.

The women were prompt and professional and worked well during the time. I can't really put my finger on it, but I found the experience less than what I had hoped - They got as much done as they could so no complaints there. The areas done just didn't seem as clean as I had hoped. I have never had housekeeping done before so my expectations could have been way out of line. However, I don't think I will ever have it done again - by any company not just these folks. I'm sure this company does its best and it is mainly just me.

Two nice young men came out, were efficient, very courteous and did a good job on all the windows. I paid a little more for them to finish the rest of my windows.

Easy to book the appointment, but the women didn't show up on time. In fairness to them, they did call and say they were stuck in traffic, so I was expecting them to be late. I showed them what I wanted them to do, and they told me they were very fast, so they might be able to finish an extra bedroom if time allotted. I stayed in the house, doing some work in an area they weren't working. I heard them playing my piano, but brushed it off because it didn't last long. When they called down to me to let me know they were finished, I was shocked, as it hadn't been the entire 2 hours. I went upstairs and they said they didn't have enough time to do the final bedroom, which was disappointing, but understandable as they only had 10 minutes left. Everything looked great (my house had been pretty dirty), so I let them go. Only after I left did I realize that they didn't even mop the floor, nor did they sweep the dirt from the corners of my kitchen. I also realized that they had been 15 minutes late, so between them leaving 10 minutes early, I actually was shorted 50 minutes of cleaning time, as there were two women. I won't be hiring them again. Again, in fairness to the owner, I did not contact her to let her know how disappointing my experience was. She may very well have offered to have someone else come clean properly. I kept meaning to, but time got away from me, and now it's 6 months later.

I purchased Air duct cleaning services at a discounted price online. Made a reservation, they showed up on time and cleaned all the ducts as stated on the online purchase. I paid additional for an extra vent and intake and to clean the furnace. I have a big house so I expected to have extra vents and the furnace i just decided to get it done. They performed and cost as expected.

There were no dont's. They were very professional. Hope to work with them again. As stated above: - arrived on time - courteous - focused - efficient - quiet

The service all the way around was excellent. The individual I talked to in the office to schedule the appointment was very cordial. The young man who cleaned my gutters was very prompt. He completed the work in a timely manner and and my gutters are now working properly instead of overflowing.

After signing up for this Angie's List deal I did have a very hard time getting a response from the company. First their voice mailbox was full which lasted almost a week. After calling a number of times I did manage to connect but only got to the voice mail. I left a message but ended up calling again a couple days later where I finally got a live person. Not to minimize this communication issue but once I spoke with the person in the office it went smoothly. Set up a date and time, the crew arrived as scheduled and they took care of business. I did have to pay extra for the numerous "return" vents our house heating system has but that was fine as they did a good job cleaning the vents.

Overall, they did a really good job and my vents/returns are definitely cleaner than they were. Also, I saw how much they were able to clean out, so I was pretty happy about that. I'm giving them a B on price because I got the Angie's List deal for 315 (it was just offered again for about $100 cheaper, which I think is an "A" price), and I thought that was a little on the expensive side for the service. The B for punctuality was due to the crew being half an hour late, but they finished on time so it all worked out. They did a great job, however, and their customer service has been excellent to deal with. I will use them again in the future dependent on if I can get a better price.

I contacted the company and had a date within 2 weeks. They arrived promptly, were very professional and set to work. They did an excellent job. I only had the outside windows washed but they did both stories including the storms. I will use this group again.

Bit disappointed. Have to admit this was my first duct cleaning and I likely didn't have a realistic view of what to expect. From what I'd seen online and in ads when researching duct cleaning I thought I have a specialized vacuum truck pull up and it would be a pretty big deal with maybe some cool cameras run through the ducts to see before and after. What I got was a couple of young guys that showed up in a SUV and a vacuum/brush machine that looked a bit like the old carpet cleaners you would rent from the supermarket. Super nice guys that worked really fast and efficiently but I'd likely not go with this service again. I had 2 main issues. One was the care taken around the removal/replacement of the of duct grates. There are several spots where the paint was pulled up from the wall and the grates were scratched a bit. It's a 50's house with some layers of paint, but rushing around with a cordless drill to remove/insert flathead screws is not the way to go. The other issue I have is that I haven't the slightest idea if they did good work or not. How much of all of the ducts got accessed and how clean were the areas that they reached?

It went great! I was unable to be at home for the appointment, but my roommate was there to meet them. Patrick called me ahead of time and stated they were ahead of schedule and wanted to know if it was possible to come early to do the cleaning. I put them in touch with the roommate and made arrangements. The cleaning went off without a hitch, and Patrick called me as soon as they were done. When I got home I asked how it went, and the roomie stated they were very nice and very professional. The only complaint she had was that the equipment was loud, but it was more of an observation.

Pleasant experience. I'd use them again or recommend to anyone.

The young man arrived promptly, I showed him the rooms with carpet to clean and he went out side, hooked-up the equipment, and began cleaning the carpet. It took him about 2 hours to clean the carpet, when he finished he took the equipment out, we thanked him and he left.

Original review: Paid for "Big Deal". First off, company was very difficult to get a hold of. Called company to schedule, number no longer in service without forwarding information. After calling Angie's List and asking for help, was able to get new number, but it just went to a machine, eventually got call back and after phone tag able to schedule. They showed up on time. The were unable to figure out how to get furnace cover open - not a good sign. It was simple plastic clips, I figured it out for them. After completing the job, they told me all was well, I asked if there was anything I needed to know or do and they said "nope, all good!" and they left after turning the heat back on. Later in the day, I went down to check the status. WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND SOAKING INTO MY THINGS. They neglected to reconnect the humidifier drain before turning the heat back on. Also, several registers were not vacuumed nor seated properly back in their places - left completely dusty. Furnace and vent rattled - able to fix by readjusting things a bit. Floor was left dirty with their mess, despite them having a vacuum on hand they did not clean up after themselves. Very sloppy service, would never recommend hiring. Followup: They contacted me after noticing my "F" review, and asked how they could make things right. They came to my house, cleaned up the parts left dirty, and threw in a cleaning of my dryer duct. I changed the review to a "C".

The windows were washed inside and out. They did not clean the inside window sills which my previous cleaner had done. They were unable to put one of the exterior second floor screens back on, and I had to hire a handyman to re-attach the screen. The young men were very courteous and quick

They arrrived right on time and were very professional. All vents were cleaned and furnace was inspected. Furnace filters were very dirty and they offered to go pick up new ones for us. We declined and replaced them ourselves that evening, but was very nice to offer. Dryer vent was inspected and determined that it really didn't need cleaning, which saved as some money. Overall, very good experience and we would use them again.
