Fine- apt was clean already, but they got it spotless.

The worker was prompt, courteous, efficient and professional. He dislodged quite a bit of creosote, as the chimney had not been cleaned in some years. He left the wood stove very clean and tidy. I am satisfied with the job. The only puzzlement was when I phoned  to inquire about the service.  I asked if there was any discount for previous Angie's List customers -- Aegis did a Big-Deal window cleaning  at my home in the fall,  job well done -- and was quoted the $99. However, someone in the room told the woman I was speaking with to add a $45 fee  to the credit-card charge for disassembling and cleaning out the flue (or something like that) in the back of the wood stove.  I questioned this and described my stove as best I could, but she did not seem familiar with the matter and the person instructing her did not come to the phone. I got her email address, took photos of the stove and sent them. [The extra charge was not made.] When the employee arrived later in the month, he checked and said mine was not a style with a closure that required that extra service. In fact, he was able to complete the job in a half-hour.

Aegis showed up for their appointment as scheduled; however, they determined that the gutters were frozen and they couldn't do a quality job.  They rescheduled and came back a couple weeks later when things warmed up and finished the job.  Everything went well.  They cleaned up completely after the work was completed and didn't leave any debris behind.  I would use them again!

It went well but we did have some communication issues.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were extremely slow in responding. I would call and get an answering machine; it took months. They were very apologetic. They might call back a week later and I would call right back and get an answering machine again. They did the job they were supposed to do. They did a decent job. They were pretty professional and friendly. They were interested in doing a good job. They had good attitudes. They showed up in their regular vehicles with no uniforms. They were young guys and I wouldn't have guessed that they were connected with the company. They came in wearing t-shirts and jeans. It was a little unprofessional but they conducted themselves professionally. It was an informal arrangement and they didn't seem like a formal company. It would be more reassuring if they had some indication that they were associated with the company such as markings on their vehicles or uniforms. The price was about right for 1 1/2 hours of work. They showed up when they were supposed to show up. I would consider using them again but I would also look at others.

My experience with Aegis Cleaning Services didn't go so well. It was a long delay to get them out here and when they did show up the workers didn't work their hardest to get the job done. Later when we looked at the windows when the sun came out, they were pretty streaked. I did  not have a satisfactory experience with them.

They communicated that they would be a little late; but showed up with all their supplies. Very cheerful and efficient.

Overall the work that was completed was very good. Customer service in our case was not.

First half was fine.

I emailed and left messages with the company to set up an appointment and no one has ever made contact. This was a big deal that was prepaid.

They arrived on time.  Informed us what the coupon covered and did the job without problem.  The only thing we realized too late was that when they took out the ceiling vents the original holes were no longer strong.  So when I went to open up the vent a few days later the entire thing came out and we are still trying to figure out how to put it back into the ceiling in our basement.  Besides that, everything went as expected.

I bought the "Big Deal" for $119 in October or November, I contacted the company in November, and told them that I had bought the "Big Deal" gutter cleaning. I inquired as to whether this included cleaning the roof, it did not. Where I live there are a whole lot of fir needles, it makes no sense to clean the gutters without cleaning the roof first. I was told that it would cost an additional $50 to clean the roof as well. I was okay with that, I was also informed that the $119 only covered a specific amount of gutter, and it was cost more for additional gutter length. I told her how large our house was, and we left it at that. A week before Aegis was to show up for their appointment, I tried contacting them, to make sure that they were coming on the day and time that the appointment was arranged for. We have a large dog that needed to be removed from the premises prior to their working. I called several times and could never get through. Finally after trying every day for 5 days, I left a message on Wednesday the day before, and begged them to confirm the appointment. Of course, I never heard back from anyone. On the day of the appointment, my husband went ahead and picked up the dog during his lunch hour. I received a phone call on my cell phone while I was a work, which I missed. The caller was an employee of the company, he called at 2:00 pm in the afternoon, and he was on his way to my house to perform the service, and I had 15 min to call him back, or he was moving on to the next job. I noticed the call at 4:00pm. I was furious, I had tried to contact them for days, and could never get a hold of them, and they didn't return my phone call to confirm the appointment as requested, and now I had 15 min to call him or he wasn't doing the job. Apparently, the employee went ahead and did a portion of the job. He only cleaned a portion of the gutters, again I was furious. I called him back and asked why only a portion of the gutters had been cleaned and why did he only give me 15 min to call him back after I had called the company for days trying to get a hold of them. The reason that the gutters were not finished was that I had more gutter length than the "Big Deal" was for and he didn't want to continue until I had approved paying extra for extra gutter length, and I needed to CALL the owner of the company. I told him I was not calling the owner of the company, since I had been calling the company for days with no answer, I told him the company owner could just call me. The company owner did call me later in the evening, and gave me a big sob story on how busy they were with all the "Big Deals" they had committed themselves to, and there just wasn't enough money being made to hire employees to answer the phone, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. I told me I would pay additional for the extra gutter length, as I wanted the job done. It was agreed that the employee would come at 9:00 am Monday morning and finish the job. My husband took our dog to work with him again Monday morning. My husband returned at lunch time, and the guy had just arrived to finish the job, which was around 11:45. My husband stayed home from work until 2:00 waiting for the guy to finish, he finally went back to work before he was finished. The only reason I am not giving this company a D or an F, is because they never billed me for the roof cleaning or the extra gutter length. I don't know if they just haven't found the time to bill me, (its been more than 2 months) or just decided to write it off because of their poor service.
All I ever wanted was to have the roof and gutters cleaned by a professional company that knew what they were doing.  "This was not rocket science."  I probably will not do anymore "Big Deals" since this one blew up in my face, so to speak.  I think a lot of small companies cannot handle the extra time and work it takes to fulfill the "Big Deal".

Thought $75.00 was a little high for  the dryer vent.
They then deducted extra for an estimate on roof cleaning which I have not had done at this time.
They showed me the debris that came out of the vents and answered all of my questions regarding method and effectiveness of their work.
They were courteous and did not track dirt around.

It went just fine. They were on time and efficient. They got the job done. They were very pleasant and professional.
