We set a date and time for service and he called that AM letting me know he would be late due to a service vehicle problem. He arrived exactly at the time we had rescheduled later in the day and performed the service. Explained everything he had done and gave me maintenance recommendations.
Description of Work: Checked door hinges, springs, track, cables, and motor. Set the auto reverse mechanism. replaced wheels, lubricated everything.

I called Discount Door Service early the next morning and described the problem. Will gave me a very accurate estimate. He arrived about 11:00 am exactly when he said he would. The spring required had to be specially made, which Will mentioned might happen with Martin doors. He had the spring made and was back replacing it by 2:00 pm.

He sells and installs/services while she maintains the admin. paperwork, etc. They are obviously terrific young people seeking to earn a decent living for their family by giving quality service. I was happy to give them my business and the job was worth every penny and more. Don't hesitate to call Will if the need arises Remember he does garage door service in addition to installation. I know you won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: I was enclosing my carport to make a garage. I found Discount Door on Angie's List and called them. Will, the owner, called back and came out to give me an estimate. He was a model of professionalism that is lacking in so many businesses today. He was on time, discussed my options honestly and actually talked me out of two options that I was leaning toward that would have meant more money for me. Instead, he gave me a quote that beat the nearest competitor by over $250 and working with him also gave me the advantage of not having to deal with a big box store. (I prefer to give business to local businesses when I can.) He had to coordinate with another subcontractor to what he required for installation and they coordinated nicely. I was to called when the framing was complete and the electricity ready for installation. He made an appointment to come out a few days later, came precisely when he said he would, and the installation was completed in an afternoon. Then, he meticulously went over all of the design and safety features with me. I had read on the internet that these doors should have a maintenance check annually and because Will does garage door repair as well, I asked him if I should set up annual maintenance with him. He said that given the quality of the door and electric opener I had installed, I should not need annual maintenance. He explained that 90% of door problems come from a wheel or more jumping the track, and that can easily be prevented by lubricating the wheels that run along the support track regularly. He showed me what to do and said any aerosol kind of lubricant like WD-40 would do the trick in a jiffy. (Once again, he had talked me out of more business for him by being honest to the customer.) All in all, I couldn't be more pleased. Will is a very nice young man with the work ethic and integrity of a much older generation. We need many more like him in my opinion.
