Description of Work: Our basement floor drain backed up on a Friday night so I called Bulldog Rooter. They could have sent someone out that night, but at that point it wasn't a big emergency, so I scheduled an appointment for Saturday. The technician was on time, called before he arrived, and when he got there asked how I had heard of their company. I told him Angie's List and he then volunteered that they offer a 10% discount to AL members. This kind of honesty was a surprise and very much appreciated! | |Before starting work, he thoroughly went over pricing and what the rates included, which I appreciated so I knew exactly what kind of bill to expect. Bulldog does not charge premiums for nights/weekends/holidays, which is awesome and in my experience quite rare! This is the way to do business - the drain didn't know it was clogging "after hours" so it wouldn't make sense to wait until Monday just to save a few bucks, all the while possibly worsening the problem and restricting our ability to run water. It's policies like this one that will give Bulldog the strong reputation they deserve. | |After he got to work, the drain did not clear as easily as anticipated. He ran the snake thing out full-length a couple times and although it was draining, it was not as clear as it should have been. He talked me through what he saw, his thoughts and recommendations, and the pricing for each, and then let me consider the pros and cons of each and answered my questions. I decided not to have any additional services performed - after all, the drain was functioning and I wanted to see how it went, figuring I would probably need to call them back at some point anyway. What was truly a surprise is that when I decided not to have him perform any of the additional services, he did not push the up-sell. I said no thanks and he said no problem. | |I was very satisfied with Bulldog Rooter and will definitely recommend them to family and friends and call them myself next time I have a need. They were upfront, honest, informative, friendly, and proficient. I really valued the "anytime pricing" and the fact that they did not push me to buy additional products or services. Description of Work: checked toilet for leakage. Couldn't really find the leak. So, the plumber suggested pulling the toilet to see what wasgoing on. He discovered that the wax ring was just about totally gone. So, he replaced the wax ring and re-installed the toilet. Perfect, clean and done. He really helped us avert a much worse plumbing disaster. And they came out on Labor Day at no extra charge! I will definitely call them whenever we need a plumber.

Description of Work: Capped off an unused drain in the basement after they discovered it had never been hooked up to city sewer years ago. Very efficient, courteous and no mess when done!

Description of Work: Randy from Bulldog Rooter was great. We had a drain line that wasn't draining properly, this was on a Saturday, he snaked two separate drains and there was just something there that he wasn't able to clear/fix, so he used the camera to verify that there was an issue of some sort or blockage under the the concrete floor of the basement, so the floor will have to be jack-hammered to open up the floor to find out what the problem was under the floor of the house, could be anything, "oh great". Randy wasn't able to finish the job on this day due to scheduling, no big deal, he came back a few days later with his helper "Digger". They opened up the floor and cleared out all the debris and found that some how the "Y" connector that the two drain lines connect to had become disconnected from the main trunk of the sewer drain line, WOW!! They cleaned out the pit further, properly reconnected the drain lines, filled the pit with sand, and re-concreted the floor. They got this all done in just under 3 hours, not bad, I was impressed considering the unknown condition, and happy that the repair was as simple as it was. All totaled with both visits it was under $1,000.00, could have been much worse. Randy and Digger of Bulldog Rooter were great and I'd have them back as well as recommend them to anyone.
