There are no words to say except. Look at their reviews [*** Link removed ***] . The only reason I went with them is because my insurance company sent them to my house after the fire was out to board it up. They are all please and thank you's until you sign the dotted line. They don't explain anything to you. As general contractors they don't review the work of the third party contractors work. They asked me if I wanted the same fan's in my house, I said I guess if that's what I had. Come to find out they gave my insurance company a price of hundreds when my original fans were only $55 each at homedepot. So guess who keep the extra for their deep pockets instead of telling me I had a budget of hundreds for each fan. This is only one example of many many more.

First response was fast and efficient. They brought in lots of fans and dehumidifier machines to start the drying process as quickly as possible to minimize the mold. They ran those for about 4 days and at the same time did tests to check for asbestos in areas that were going to have to be torn down. Unfortunately there was some asbestos so they hired a crew to remove it and dispose of it properly. They then started the biggest part of the job of demolition, removing everything that had to be replaced or had mold, and make sure everything was completely dry and mold free. The building is about 100 years old so saving the woodwork and moldings meant they couldn't be using sledge hammers to do the demoing but had to be careful as to not damage the crown moldings, edgings, etc. If I had any small complaint it would be that this stage took a little longer than it had to. Near the end of the demolition stage there was about a week where nothing got done as they were working other jobs. They did make some of that time back on the reconstruction stage which went very quickly. Overall we were very satisfied with their work. All the people were nice and professional. They were easy to get a hold of and kept us up to date and informed us as to the progress of their work. The most important part, the end result, was great. You want it to look just like it did before the damage as if nothing happened. They did this and even made some of the rooms look better than before.
Description of Work: We had a pipe break in our apartment building on the third floor and a substantial amount of water flooded that apartment and the two units below it. Belfor came in to clean up and start drying the water damage. They then tore out and replaced all walls and ceilings that had to be taken out due to water damage and or mold. Repainted and cleaned everything so that it was back to it's ordinal condition or better.

Windows Electrical Plumbing Siding Framing Garage Doors New Kitchen
Description of Work: Do not hire this company to do any construction on your home. They do not stand behind their contractors and provide a substandard service if they can get away with it. I had house fire a few years ago and had to have most of my home rebuilt and brought up to code. During the walk through we discussed several problems that we wanted addressed since we were having a major rebuild done and they could be easily done. After five months longer than the original estimate and after our house had been broken into because the workers did not secure the doors properly. While most of the work looked great, the underlying issues were that nothing has worked properly since. A month after we moved back into the house, we had all kinds of electrical and plumbing problems. My kitchen applicances were left outside in the rain and snow to rot instead of being stored in our garage. I called Belfor and talked to the General Manager and was promptly told that since we had moved back into the house then it was our problem and not Belfors. I have had to spend an additional $25,000 to fix things that should have been done right the first time. Avoid the sweet talk and find a company that will actually stand behind their work. The only thing that was done great was how the workers treated our dogs that had to remain on the site.
