BEWARE of All Drains and Plumbing!! This business is operating without a license and has been fined in the past for doing the same. The owner's son Jared whined about not being able to find my mom's septic tank and then had MY 85 YEAR OLD MOTHER shovel a path to the septic tank for him! After being there 7 hours and doing nothing but removing a toilet and shutting off my mom's water at the pump house, Jared said the current bill was at $1500 and he could fix the issue for a minimum of $2400---but my mom would have to take her cats and move out....BUT JARED WOULD STAY IN MY MOM'S HOME for safety reasons..????! RED FLAG--- RED FLAG--- RED FLAG!!! When my mom told him to stop working because she couldn't afford the exorbitant prices (especially for not even fixing anything)Jared told my mom she could get a PAYDAY LOAN to pay him---Jared said most of their customers have to take out payday loans or title loans to pay them! Jared then arranged to meet my sister to be paid for what he said was owed at that point. Even though Jared told my mom the bill was at $1500, he told my sister if she didn't go through insurance he would take $500 CASH..?? (Not shady at all) When my sister asked for a breakdown of the charges and asked for his business license Jared became verbally abusive and irate. Jared said they don't need a business license to clear drains. Jared took the $500 cash and then walked back to my sister's car and threw $50 dollars at her, saying "Jesus wants me to be kind to those who are aggressive against me"....are you kidding me? My sister asked for a breakdown of the charges and asked for his business license....which are 100% justified (and warranted) and not at all aggressive. These people are unstable! Upon further investigation we found that Joe David Rivera (owner) and his son Jared both have extensive records with the court system---it is glaringly obvious that they get aggressive and irate with customers who question them in any way. One woman was so afraid of Joe David Rivera she had to ask a neighbor to be there with her for protection when Mr. Rivera was at her home. Jared left a HUGE mess at my mom's home, caused issues with her pump and never fixed ANYTHING. Joe David Rivera called in a panic after his son was verbally abusive to my sister, trying to do damage control and offered to give her money back. My sister instructed him to mail the money because she didn't feel safe being around Jared or his dad---and that neither one of them were to return to my mom's home or they will be trespassed and the sheriff will be called. As of the writing of this post, the money has not been returned. They took $450 of my sister's money for NOTHING....Jared didn't fix anything...in fact he caused more issues that needed to be fixed and left a huge mess for my mom to clean up. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ALL DRAINS AND PLUMBING----THEY ARE NOT LICENSED.....they have been fined more than once in the past for operating without a license ---they overcharge----Jared told my mom to get payday loan to pay his inflated, outrageous prices, they tried to get my mom to move out of her home so he could be there alone and are aggressive and verbally abusive to customers!!! WHO DOES THIS TO AN 85 YEAR OLD WOMAN on a fixed come??? SHAMEFUL! Contacting the Better Business Bureau, L&I, Attorney General......

It may have gone fine, except the son showed up, pulled off a bunch of paneling enclosing our clawfoot tub & puddles beneath, & promised to return in the a.m. with materials. The next day I had to contact him to inquire, only to find they were suddenly booked through until the next day at least & wasn't even going to discuss with my landlord until late that night. It was okay that my job had been pushed out though because , he said, I could still shower even with water pooling from the busted overflow, just use towels and the gaping wall wasn't that bad. Since we also had water traveling under the wall into the pantry I texted the father, David, and asked why our job had been set aside for another. According to my landlord, because of this, he quit the job entirely. I'm not sure if that is true, but I do know they agreed to be back on New Year's Day with "no overtime" charges, & they began a job they did not finish. 😪

He is OK. Our troubles were our own fault. He is very short on advice and relationship building. Gets in and gets out. He seems to know what he is doing. We wish he had taken a little extra time to tell us the first time how important it was to turn off our outside water. Seems like a no brainer, but in our case it was especially important due to the pitch of the inside basement pipes relative to the outside valve. We are not mechanical at all so need the extra instruction.
Description of Work: For the second time replaced outside valve due to frost and us not turning off the water for winter. Also had him reconfigure pipes under the sink.

David had done some work for my daughters and did a nice job so I called him to replace a gas water heater. He had a helper with him. I did not know until after the installation that he had not gotten a permit for the job (which was important to me so I could have it inspected) and he replaced the old water heater with a shorter version. Instead of compensating for the difference in height in a correct manner, he cut 2X4's and made a base to go under the water heater, which is against code since the wood is flammable. He then wanted to charge me an additional $200 to correct this. By shutting off the water and turning it back on in this older home, it caused debris from the lines to clog my sink faucet. I had him come back to fix that and this time he came alone. He was overly-friendly and made some very inappropriate comments while ""stroking" the water supply lines under my sink. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say or do. He does not follow best practices and local codes for plumbing and left me with an unsafe situation with my water heater. In addition, because of his comments, I would never feel comfortable allowing him in my home again.
Description of Work: Install new gas water heater. Clean debris from sink line and faucet.

The process was great. The guy who came out was the son of the owner and was incredibly professional and educated on the potential problems we were experiencing. He communicated very well and explained everything in great detail throughout the process. I believe he was only 19 or 20, but I was impressed with his professionalism. Once we cleared out the first drain line, we also needed to snake the mainline and found there were some roots growing into the sewer line. He explained that as soon as the blockage is cleared we would hear a huge "rumble" or noise of all the water rushing out of the line to the city sewer and that's exactly what happened! It was reassuring to actually hear the blockage being cleared to know that the line was opened up. The one thing we didn't realize was that they charged a travel fee ($25 I believe) that we were not aware of when we made the call. It was a Sunday night when they came out and the 2 drains were snaked and cleared within about an hour. Overall, very impressed with the service.
Description of Work: We needed our drain snaked as we had water backing up in our basement. We ended up finding that our mainline drain was blocked as well, so we also needed the mainline snaked as well.

David Rivera and his son on their first visit were prompt, very professional, and friendly, answering any questions or concerns. They removed the sink and toilet very quickly and easily. No mess left behind. The second visit went just as well. Again very prompt, easily replaced the sink and toilet, and installed the water fixtures with attention to detail. Also, no mess left for me to clean. Very impressed with the time and quality work put into the projects. David informed me of any concerns he had about the work he was being asked to complete. Again my questions and concerns were answered and helpful suggestions provided. Very impressed with David and crew of All Drains and Plumbing. Will contact this company if any further work is required.
Description of Work: Currently doing updating in my kitchen and bathrooms before putting my house up for sale. All Drains & Plumbing came to my home twice. The first time was to remove the kitchen sink and one toilet. The second time All Drains & Plumbing returned to reinstall the kitchen sink, toilet, and to replace the water fixtures in 3 bathrooms.

David was great. He was incredibly professional and nice and he cut us a really good deal because we are about to get married and what he thought would be a job that cost less than $300 ended up costing over $700. He spent over 6 hours at our house and was very sympathetic to our situation so he really wanted to clear the main line for us so we could use the water again! He said in his 20 years of service, he had never seen so many tree roots in the main line. I believed him because we saw how many roots he pulled from the line and it filled a hefty bag. We will likely have to replace the line, but for now he really helped us out so we can at least shower in the house until we get it replaced! His son came over to help him and was also very courteous and professional. I'm not sure why the first review was so negative, but I can only guess it was the customer's bad attitude and not David's. He was at my house for half the day and he was nothing but kind and very understanding of our situation. I was worried after hours and hours of pulling out tree roots, but he was very conscientious about our budget and let us know what the total was as he was continually working. I would definitely encourage other people to use his services and call him. He came over to the house when 3 other plumbers were unable to (also from Angie's List!) and he stayed until the job was done and done right. I will definitely use his services in the future; and I will recommend him to any of my friends and neighbors in the future.
Description of Work: David came over and cleared the main sewer line which was backed up and causing a huge leak in the basement. He came over, estimated the work would be less than $300 to snake the main line and to fix another leak in the house. Since my house is over 100 years old and we just moved into it, we are experiencing what it is like to maintain it after it had been sitting vacant for almost 2 years. David fixed the leaky pipe and cleared the main line.

In October 2012, David was to winterize my water system so that I could shut off the electricity during the winter. He was to drain both the house system and the exterior system, including the well house. The charge for this service was $225.00. When I returned in May, I called David to come and turn everything back on. When there was no water flowing into the system, David discovered that the Well Pump (which was less than two years old), had cracked, which he said was due to freezing. My HOW did not cover this loss, which was due to leaving water in the system and allowing it to freeze. David did not see that this was his responsibility and indicated that turning off the electricity to other parts of the system, did not include the well house. Somehow, intuitively, I should have known this. The new pump cost me $ 600.00. I had observed my husband winterizing the plumbing system for ten years and had, alone, turned the system back on without any problems. David would not listen to anything I told him about the system. He had his sons with him, teaching them and one of them broke the crystal cover of the UV light . Without that cover, the system could not pump water into the house. Again, David did not consider this his problem and he and his son left, saying, "I'm late for my next job". The next day I went into Spokane and purchased a new crystal cover and installed it myself. However, there was still no water flow. I called David and told him that I had paid him over $1700.00 and I still didn't have water. He returned my call and was very angry and said he would return to my home , but after this, we would not have any further association. Because David was so angry over the phone and because his past actions had indicated that he had no respect for my suggestions, I called a neighbor to come to the house to be with me. David arrived shortly before my neighbor and was berating me loudly when my friend appeared. This abusive behavior stopped immediately. David was here about an hour, before the water began flowing again. I don't know what he did to stop it in the first place, nor do I know what he did to restart it. In the future, I will winterize my home without any assistance.I can't do any worse than David and All Drains and Plumbing did !!
Description of Work: Winterize well and plumbing system in Oct 2012. In May 2013, reinstate it to working order. Reroute underhouse pipe from washing machine line to kitchen sink, bypassing old well.
