I've used Budget Blinds twice in the past few years. They come to your house, measure and give you a bid immediately. They give a discount, but I don't pay much attention to that because I think it is just a psychological thing. A price is a price. They are a litle more expensive, but I think it is worth the service and guarantee. I found them very professional, the blinds were made in a short time and installed perfectly. If there is any problem, they are prompt and come by to fix it. When they were adjusting something for me, the installer noticed a hole poked in one of the shades and informed me that Budget would replace the blind with no fee.

Very helpful. Stated that the repair was difficult and may damage the blinds. the job was done very well. Like I said above. The shop smells like cigarettes. My blinds smelled as well. The smell went away after a few days. I am satisfied with the work. There are only a few shops that will repaired blinds. I would use them again.

I am very pleased with Budget Blinds. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Each person was really good at their jobs and made the process pleasant plus I really like the bliinds. I will definitely call them again when I do another part of the house

They were very helpful to me in selecting window treatments. Installation was on time, accurate and very thorough. Cleanup was done quickly and the installer was detail oriented and made sure that I understood how everything worked. A couple of minor problems were encountered and corrected promptly. I would not hesitate to use their services again and plan to add a couple of more roman shades in the future.

They were very professional and did a a terrific job. They are friendly and quick. The woman came out to help and pick out the blinds. Then, they made and customized the blinds. Once they were finished, they installed very quickly.

They arrived on time for both the measure/bid appointment and the install appointment and the blinds/shades arrived faster than they promised. They stand behind their warranty and were very responsive in coming out to take care of a few quality issues on two of the shades.

I got three estimates and by far, they were the cheapest. There was one place, their quote for the exact same blinds was about $800 more and second quote was $300 more than them. We worked with them and they gave rough estimate over the phone. The lady came out to do all the measurements. She really took her time, to advice us on different styles and different colors available to us, if it was wood, grains etc. She was patient with my likes and entire time was taken to close off. Then within few weeks our blinds were delivered to them. The installer who came out was extremely efficient, fast and professional. It was really good experience with them. I got them off the Angie's List.

They picked up blind, installed new cord, and reinstalled. Made sure the pick-up gave me the quickest turn around time.

I ordered blinds from them last Dec ?09. Brenda was great in helping me pick out something that would work. I appreciate that since it is not something I want to be spending a lot of time on. They were priced better than I had seen anywhere else. They were installed January 5th & that took <30 minutes. The installer was average in cleanliness & friendliness. They look great and I am very excited. Jan. 6th: I notice the top bar on 3 of the "top down" shades was scratched. It wasn't horrible but when you spend ~$1200 you want it to look new and not like a 3 year old took a key to them. Emailed Arnie on the 6th making it clear I didn?t want the blinds to go in the landfill. I asked if touch up paint was available. Jan 7th or 8th Arnie calls back, told me not sure about paint, will have to call supplier. If cannot be provided will order new ones & confirmed they would go in the landfill if was the case. Jan 9th Realized largest blind not installed correctly. Top of the blind not snapped into the assembly in the middle bracket on very wide window, when the blind was closed you could see a beam of light in the middle, at the top. It looked very sloppy. Emailed Arnie to let him know. Jan 12th no word back yet so I called & left message with answering service. Arnie called back same day & left a message stating had not heard from company yet, did not have an answer. Jan 16th Arnie called to tell me no paint available for touch up. He reminded me the blinds will go in the landfill & offered me $25 so I can go out to dinner. I was offended by this and felt like I was being manipulated. For the cost of the blinds and all the trouble I didn?t think that was appropriate, I hesitated. He suddenly had to hang up, said he would call back. Jan 19th still no call back & I'm too busy to call from work. My boyfriend is very level headed & good natured. Aware of the dilemma & having a more flexible schedule than I, offered to call Arnie for me. Later told me Arnie was extremely offended he had called him, said something like ?we don?t need to bring a third party into this?, that he would talk directly to me to resolve the problem, then hung up on him. The same day Arnie tried to call me on my cell at work 2 times until I finally get off and can call him back. He said ?we at Budget Blinds do not give people their money, we give them what they ordered? and that he would order the new blinds tomorrow. He reminded me that the blinds will go in the landfill. A few weeks later called to schedule the install of the 3 new blinds and that was the last we talked. Feb 8th (?)blinds replaced. I don?t observe the work. When completed I realize all of the blinds have the same problem (scratched) but installation problem is fixed. I did not report the new blinds being scratched and decided to leave it as it was. I waited to write the review until I cooled off & had time. I used notes taken during the interactions to write the complete review.

From 'start' to 'finish' the customer service was very professional; my experience included: - visit to the showroom - in home consultation - installation I would HIGHLY recommend Budget Blinds.

I was undecided about what I wanted to do about window treatments (if anything) in my newly bought home. I saw that Budget Blinds had free home estimates, so I figured I'd see what they had to offer. I called and they were able to schedule a meeting the next day. Coral came (right on time!) and was an absolute dream! She was not only extremely knowledgable, but I never felt any pressure to buy the 'more expensive' product; in fact, in one room she immediately suggested the cheaper option since my kids would be using this room most often and there was no reason to do it. She had ideas that I would have never thought of, she helped me make choices without being pushy, and she did all of this during my lunch break! The price she quoted me was phenomenal - I had done lots of research, and was expecting to pay much more. I was told it would take 3 weeks, which it did...almost exactly! Again I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. The installer (I think his name was Tony) was prompt and worked quickly. There was a measurement problem with one window, and he installed the hardware and said it would be re-made in a week. It was, and only took a minute for him to install. This was an all around great experience, and I am planning to update the rest of the windows in the house and I will definately use Budget Blinds.

Overall, we had a good buying experience. We were told that it would take about 3 weeks from the time we placed an order to get the blinds installed. We had to call a couple of times as the install date approached to get a status update. It would have been nice if they were proactive and kept us informed. This is a very minor criticism. The most important considerations are that they delivered a product that we like, the installation went well, and the price is exactly what we agreed to. No hidden fees.

The estimator was very efficient and had all the tools and samples needed to get an estimate and make a decision right away. She gave me a very good discount (several of my windows were very large). The blinds were made to order. Then an installer was sent out. He, like the estimator, worked very efficiently and did a great job.

The ordering was great. It took longer to get the supplies than originally estimated. When they arrived, one of the blinds had the wrong brackets. The sales person said she'd never have allowed the install if she'd known about the wrong bracket size, which I would expect she would check to make sure the order was correct. A contractor for Budget Blinds came to install and broke one of our windows. It was a rare occurrence, but any time we inquired, BB kept insisting this wasn't something that happened before. They had no window place to recommend, so we found our own contractor. When I called in the price to BB, they didn't sound pleased and wanted the name of the contractor. After we got the window fixed, BB sent out one of their own employees to do the install, which went very well. I don't mean to imply that the work or product wasn't good. I think it was more the repeated "This has never happened" and balking at the window repair that bugged me. Lots of excuses that really weren't my problem. Also, a couple of times, it was hard to get a return call until I got very grumpy.

I was stuck home on a snow day and called to find out when I could get someone to come out. (all the snow and my work was north of me and Budget Blinds is south). Matt came out that very day! I wanted top down/bottom up room darkening shades and he showed me all the choices and recommended colors (or maybe to be more exact, recommended sticking with neutral, and why). I order that day and gave a 50% deposit. The blinds were ready within the time frame I was given (can't remember what it was, but less than two weeks). Installer (Tony) was right on time and took care of the installation. I didn't know until he arrived that there was a $35.00 fee for removal and disposal of the existing blinds and hardware, and I was kind of stuck at that point, since I had not taken anything off. After I get the rest of the windows replaced, I will definitely call them again for window treatments.

I was very pleased with the service they provided. They did a really good job and the price was reasonable as well. They are easy to work with and thorough about everything they do. They are hardworking as well. I would recommend them to other people any time.

I was pleased with Budget Blinds from the start. Arnie was really nice on the phone when I called and I was able to schedule an estimate within a week. Matt Dodd came out to perform the estimate. He was very knowledgeable and worked with me to pick the classiest, most affordable, most environmentally sound option. The blinds were ready to be installed in about 3 weeks. The installation was able to be scheduled in the early evening (which worked best with my schedule) and only took about an hour. The new blinds have transformed the living room and were well worth the price.

Brenda measured for and sold us the wood blinds, shades, and curtains. She had great ideas for some difficult deck doors. Calvin was in charge of shutters and he really knew his product. The installation took Tony and Calvin 4 hours, then Calvin stayed and did some fine tuning. He really went above and beyond on the installation. We are pleased as punch with the products and the installation. When we do a remodel next summer, they will be the ones we call for our two bedrooms and new French doors. This is a truly upstanding company.

Calvin really knows his product lines and takes the time to explain why certain designs might be better in individual circumstances. I learned a lot about how the blinds work best, and feel I was able to make an informed decision. Tony the installer was neat and did a very fine job in a tricky situation. I am very pleased with the service this company gives and plan to use them again in the future.
