The work itself was done well -- the workers troubleshot the problem well and were courteous and efficient. The bill, however, was much higher than anticipated. In addition the charging an extra flat fee for the weekend call plus overtime rates on the hourly work (both expected based on previous experience with a different Servpro group), there was also an undisclosed 4 hour minimum charge per worker (2 workers were there for about an hour each and I was initially charged for 8 hours of overtime labor). After I disputed this, the charge was reduced slightly, to their credit, but they retained a charge for drive time (an extra 3 hours for 2 workers). So I was still charged 5 hours of overtime for about 2 hours of work. The total cost ended up being more than what I had paid to a different Servpro group last year for what was a much larger and more complex job (also a weekend call).

They send out a real professional to do the estimate. You think "Wow, this is a classy company. They know what they're doing." Then they take their 50% up front deposit and send in a bunch of non-English speaking workers that are probably paid peanuts. The workers have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. We had purchased a home that had smoke damage and was filthy-dirty. ServPro assured us they could get all the smoke damage out and clean every surface. Their version of clean is nowhere close to clean. Everything had to be re-cleaned. There was vomit on the bathroom cabinets that I had to clean myself. I went through several tubs of Lysol wipes re-cleaning every surface. Each white Lysol wipe turned brown with dirt & grime. No cleaning had been done whatsoever. Every counter, every cabinet, every inch of flooring; all filthy. But when I tried to tell ServPro about it, they threatened to send me to collections and put a lien on my property if I didn't pay them. There was no walk-through or final inspection. We weren't even given the opportunity to sign for the work done. Just told that if we didn't pay for the work they claimed they did, we'd be sent to collections. They talk a good game but are a total rip off.

It was a good experience. It took a little time longer than expected but it was good quality.

My insurance paid it. They got the job done right and I like their professionalism. They basically stayed on the job until the property was dried out.

Servpro of Central Seattle, Federal Way and Northeast Seattle was responsive, trustworthy and worked well with our insurance company. The work they performed was of high quality. Overall, we're very pleased.
