After having a few bad experiences with mortgage brokers, it was very nice working with Jim. He spent several hours of his time talking with my wife and I in person, over the phone, and over e-mail to explain all of the steps in the refinance process and why now was a good time to do it. With his help we were able to decrease our interest rate, remove our private mortgage insurance, and get some bank incentives with very little hassle on our part--after all was said and done our out-of-pocket expense was ~$500 and we now pay ~$250 less per month. The whole process took 45 days or so, but required very little time on my part, as Jim took care of pretty much all the legwork. All I had to do was sign some things, and get some bank and tax related information. I will definitely use Jim again if I ever need another mortgage!

Jim Hoge was very responsive and professional. He let us know what was going on during the whole process, usually with a weekly email or phone call. He made it easy to get through all the mortgage re-fi paperwork. I recommend him to my friends.

I have not spent anything so far. It would be a couple of grand once everything is done. He is working on a re-file for me. I do not think he gets a flat fee, but a percentage off the top from the loan company, so, I am not really sure how much I am paying Jim. It totally vanishes in the overall cost in how much I am paying all up like the closing cost. I like that he is really polite and really personable. He is local to Seattle. He knows the market. He was able to do everything online very efficiently. I contacted a couple other mortgage brokers from Angie's List, and Jim is definitely the best choice because he is local and represents the market.

This is the second mortgage we've gotten through Jim Hoge. As with the first time, everything went through without a hitch. We got the best market rate, quick turnaround, no blood, no sweat, no tears. He came to our house to take the app and had the escrow agent come to us for the signing - a busy person's dream! Jim does his homework to get you into the best product for your situation and needs and then tracks everything closely, making sure that i's are crossed and t's are dotted. Jim is the best mortgage rep/broker I've ever encountered. He brokered the loan for a house we just bought in Seattle, and the whole process went incredibly well, especially considering the difficulties most home buyers are experiencing with lenders. Jim came to our residence IN PERSON on a Thursday evening to take our application and gather all of our paperwork. The next morning I called to ask him a question, and learned that we had already been submitted to underwriting. Wow! A mere 26 days later, the loan funded, and we took possession of our new home. No muss, no fuss, no unpleasant surprises. Oh yah, and with a fabulous rate, as good as the best quotes that we had gotten from others. THANK YOU JIM!
