I brought in a wide variety of kitchen knives (serrated/non-serrated, German/Japanese, Large/Small, etc.) and was able to drop them off without any real difficulties. They provided a time frame for pickup that was a few weeks away. They called me op let me know that everything was ready a few days early. When I picked up the knives everything was very easy and I was in and out in no time. I have been using the knives daily since then and couldn't be happier - They are incredibly sharp and the whole ordeal was super easy.

I selected this provider to sharpen 3 knives and a pair of scissors by reviewing possibilities on Angie's List. There aren't any recommended providers close to me but this one had excellent reviews so I decided getting the job done right was worth the drive. I left my knives and scissors and was told the day of expected completion. After I left I became concerned about the fact that I didn't have any claim check or evidence that I had left items there to be sharpened. I wouldn't be able to prove anything, so I hoped that the recommendations on Angie's list would save me. On the day that I had been told that the items would be ready, I called and they were ready. When I picked them up, I gave my name only. Anyone could have walked in and given my name and taken my items. The knives were wrapped in paper so I couldn't be sure I had the correct number or the correct knives or that they were sharp, but I took the items, paid and left. I did get all my items back and they seem to be sharp, so the important goals were accomplished. The price was excellent. However, I think I will look for a place with business practices that are more comfortable to me when I need more sharpening. 11/26/2015 Having now used these knives for a lot of holiday cooking, I want to add that they are very sharp! A delight to use.

Description of Work: My knives are amazingly sharp. Bob also showed me the correct way to use a sharpening steel. Highly recommended! His cost per inch was also very reasonable!

Bob was recommended to us by the chef at a cooking class my wife and I attended. Our knives had not been professional sharpened for a couple of years so we decided to give him a try. We are really pleased that we did. Although he said it usually took three days to sharpen the knives, he had ours done in two days. He did an excellent, professional job. Our knives are as sharp, if not sharper, than they were new, His current charge is $1.25 per inch sharpened. He also sharpens scissors, food processor blades, and gardening tools such as pruners and shears. We used him only for the kitchen knives and will definitely use him again when our knives again need sharpening.
Description of Work: The owner, Bob Tate, sharpened ten of our kitchen knives including one with a serrated blade.
