O'Neill Plumbing

I called O'Neill at about 8:30 am and they were able to get a service person to my house around 11:30. John arrived and we discussed the situation. We examined the water heater together and it seemed ok. The most likely source of the water seems to be the chimney from a recent heavy downpour. John then snaked out the drain pipe and cleared the line. I was even able to use a $30 coupon for O'Neill that I printed from the Angie's website. I was billed for a basic service call at $95, minus the $30 for the coupon, plus tax to arrive at the final total.

Very good phone contact, appropriate questions, punctual appointment. Detailed proposal. Just too much money for the service.(which was performed for almost $1800 less by another company, in less than 5 hours.)

I asked for a bid and they gave it to me promptly. I'd actually called them out previously to spend 30 minutes ironing out a couple of very minor hot water/water flow issues in my new house, and at that initial visit, we also took a look at the hot water heater. So, the actual plumber who visited had already seen and spec'ed out my specfic situation. Then, I got a call a day later from the plumber in order to get scheduled. He asked if I wanted to do it same day, and I said sure. I went home for lunch and he was already there preparing the new hot water heater outside. It took him less than two hours to do all of the above work. He was very efficient and seems to have done a quality job. We have plenty of hot water now and a very solid hot water heater installation.

I phoned O'Neil the day before and explained that my toilet was leaking in back, but that I had shut off the water. I told them it was a Kohler, having read a number of Angie's List reports before calling them. They made an appointment to come out the next day. I asked for an estimate. They told me it was almost $100 for half an hour but of course there was no telling how long it would take. The next day a very professional plumber arrived and took care of it in about twenty minutes. This meant I was out the difference but they gave me an Angie's List $30 discount. It ended up costing $100 for labor and $30 parts included. I felt safe with him here, in fact, I was able to continue on with my work, and the toilet works fine.

They were fantastic! It took a few days to schedule an appointment because they were a little backed up. When they came out they did a really great job. I was pleased with their services.

They had to come back twice to repair the plumbing under the kitchen sink, but the owner ended up handling everything.

Went great. He was on time, quick and clean to get everything done. Also was perfectly willing to tell me each thing that was happening and how it went wrong in the first place.

I am so impressed! John explained everything in detail, double-checked what we wanted to do, then showed us exactly what he had done and why it was done a particular way. He wore booties so as not to mar the floors, and cleaned up everything after he was done.

They came out quickly and did the work quickly and efficiently. They were very professional and made sure to clean up after themselves well.

Great. Dale Pentheny from O'Neill Plumbing came to do the work. He was late because he'd underestimated his previous job, but was fast, cleaned up well afterwards and was more than generous with the billing. He didn't have a matching part but was able to retrofit one from a new part he did have. He also answered some questions about a potential problem that I thought may come up later without adding the time to my bill or trying to get me to schedule the work. As it turned out, he was quite honest about the additional work not being necessary -- a previous plumber had tried to hard sell me on it.

They are efficient and wise. They are helpful and reasonable. They do a good job. I would recommend to anyone and I have recommended them. I don't know anything about plumbing and it works fine. They are professional and the receptionist is great.

Excellent they did a fantastic job they stuck to the original price that they gave 6 months prior and they were almost 2,000 less expensive than the other plumber that gave me a quote

I called them because they were the cheapest. The job went well. I was a little worried about going with the cheapest. But when it was done, I was quite happy with their solid performance. The only thing that wasn't done was the packing of the ground. But it wasn t their fault because it rained constantly. The job was inspected and was approved. I was going to do the job myself, but it got to be to much. I would recommend these people for jobs similar to what I hired them for.

What a professional and communicative company! Even on the phone, they were very professional. Got an appt for the same day, and called later to say they were running late. John was very quick, polite, and good at explaining what he was doing and what options I had (straight vs. 90 degree shut-off valve). He had to go in and out of our crawlspace quite a few times and I know by experience this is annoying, but he was a champ. I was surprised at the price, and they forgot the Angie's list discount but I will call on that and expect it to be taken care of easily. They charge $160/hr, which seems high to me, but maybe I'm just not used to what plumbers cost these days. I would recommend them, but get an estimate before the work starts. This was an emergency so there was no time for an estimate, just had to get the work done.

I called to say my toilet was leaking. I thought it was the floor seal but when they came they found it was something in the tank. They did not ask me what brand of toilet I had when I made the appt so when they came they did not have parts for my toilet and had to come back a week later. I think the price was a bit high because of this. The work did not take that long

It went extremely well from start to finish.

Very well--clean, fast, professional. Work was done same day, on short notice. Journeyman was fast, knowledgable and cleaned up after work. Work being done was clearly explained.

Gave me an estimate of when they could come that day and then called to say they could come sooner if I liked. Steve was friendly and nice to the dog and me. You would think after 30 years here I would know where the water cut off was but I didn't and he found it. Did the repair promptly and even gave me some cheap faucet handles to use since I did not have any handy. Used my $30 coupon -no problem and he cleaned up and was out of here in half an hour. I have used O'Nelil's over the years whenever I needed a plumber and I recommend them to everyone in the neighborhood.

They are good. I actually picked them, because they have good grades on Angie s list. They were very prompt and professional. They came on time, and took care of the problem with out any hassle. The gentleman that came was polite and professional. I would use them in the future.

I knew I had a side sewer problem. I've been nursing it along for three years to avoid having to find a way to come up with the $15,000 it would take to dig up everything from my garage to the middle of the street and replace all the pipes. I initially called them to determine if a problem I was having with my washing machine flooding in the basement was related to the side sewer backing up or not. Dale determined that the side sewer was the source of the problem, and let me in on his logic. I appreciated that. Three years ago the drain cleaning company that had worked on my side sewer for years, said that they could no longer clean the side sewer of roots. There was at least one crack, and a small offset in the pipe under the parking strip. I got lots of bids, and was floored at how expensive it was going to be to really fix the problem, the cost of a new small car! I then decided to stop putting any toilet paper at all down the toilet, and see how long that solution would work. That was two and a half years ago. Dale told me that it might be possible to buy me some more time. Their best side sewer man, Nelson, might be able to grind the roots out of the pipe so I could get enough flow to be able to use my washing machine again. Nelson came back the next day, and worked for 3.5 hours grinding away. He was able to clear the side sewer under the parking strip, but told me that there were roots way out in the side sewer under the street, close to where it connects to the city's main pipe. Anyway, he did buy me some time. Who knows how much. He didn't make me any promises, and I wouldn't have confidence or trust in anyone who did. Both Dale and Nelson were great.

Nels came out and did the job quickly. Even ask if could do anything else while he was there. Wow. Great company! Called and told me tech Nels was going to be late. Wow. Would use the company again. Used my Angie coupon which made the job even less. Thanks!

O'Neil did a great job. Replaced all my galvanized supply lines with copper. It took three guys two days. Great service, nice crew, and the best price. I have amazing water pressure now. This price did not include the 1" copper from the meter to the house, I did that myself earlier.

I did have a problem with the water line. They disturbed some work that had previously been done, but they came back and fixed it. Everything was good.
