I had a problem in the master bathroom with the sink. The hot water quit working. I also had a problem with the toilet in the powder room. It would fill very slow. It took forever. I had both of these items repaired. Peter arrived on time, fixed everything, and was done before I knew it.. Bada Bing - Bada Boom! It was perfect, just the way I like a repair job to go. Everything is working great. This is an excellent company and it was very affordable for me. I had an great experience from start with Kelly who I spoke with when scheduling my appointment to finish with Pete who did the plumbing repairs. I will use them for any and all plumbing jobs.

The repairman was very personable and performed the required repairs. He was easy to talk with and we engaged in conversation while he worked on the problem. The overall job took him about an hour to complete which I felt was a little long but still acceptable as I needed to have this leak fixed. I feel the time spent could been reduced if he had employed a power tool to cut and fit the old and new piping. There was a time I would not have been concerned about the additional time spent using hand tools but I am now on a fixed income and counting pennies.
Description of Work: Contacted O'Neill plumbing to repair a kitchen sink drain line that had cracked causing water damage to the roof of a downstairs restroom. I had found the leak after the ceiling tiles had fallen from the weight of the water. I pulled down the drywall to expose the pipe and found the crack.

Water was leaking onto ceiling of downstairs bathroom from an unknown source above. Dale, the plumber ,systematically traced the leak which was found to be from a pipe that had been punctured by a nail. He replaced the section of the pipe which was in a very difficult location using special tools and thereby avoided and further damage to surrounding walls and cabinets. We were very pleased with his thoughtfulness and care in solving the problem. We would use O'Neill again without question.

I showed the plumber what needed work. He quickly inspected the bathroom fixtures, diagnosed the problems, and pointed out what he considered a more serious concern that I'd not paid attention to. He then went to his truck, got the parts he needed, and expeditiously repaired each item. He was professional, efficient, and friendly in communicating about his work.

Things went fairly well. I had to see two different technicians about the issue due to the age of my home and pipes. The first couldn't resolve the issue simply because he didn't have the correct size of obscure fitting in his truck. The next morning, I called and scheduled an appointment with a different technician recommended from the first. When he arrived, he came and fixed the leak, gave me some advice about my pipes, and then assured me that I would not be charged for the first visit. This came as a surprising and happy shock, since many providers charge you for their time regardless of fixing your issue. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised by the price since the plumbers had spent about 2 hours at my place trying to, and fixing, my leak and because the part was obscure. Also, when I called them again about a different leak a couple of months later, they came out, told me that it could't be fixed until I hired someone to remove the parts of the house that were obscuring it, and didn't charge me for the diagnosis.

It went great. It didn't take long including the flapper replacement. It was expensive but that is probably the norm on the weekend. The call-out was for an hour of work (some companies charge 30 min. for a weekend call-out). Less money unless it requires more than 30 minutes to repair. That is why I picked O'Neil.
Description of Work: My kitchen faucet had a bad leak. This was on a Saturday & my regular plumber does not make house calls on Saturday. So I picked them from your list & they sent a service technician. The leak was quickly repaired & the tech volunteered to use the balance of the time inspecting the common areas that cause trouble. I am glad he did - he found a flapper in one of the toilets that was badly warped. He replaced it at no extra cost to me!

First off, I would have written this review a month ago, but our infant has had me a little preoccupied. My apologies to anyone who used O'Neil plumbing and might not have had they read my review first. Overall it went from bad to worse. He showed up 20 minutes late, which he included in the time billed. When he showed up he leisurely assessed the situation and headed off to his truck to get tools. He sauntered back in without saying a word and began installing the dishwasher. It took him an hour just to attach the hoses and plug it in. So after the first hour is up I checked in on him. He was grumbling about how we have a granite counter top and how he doesn't understand the directions for side attachment. The dishwasher in question is a new Kenmore, not that rare. Rather than call his office, or the Sears help line he spent another hour on the floor of my kitchen flipping through the user's manual. After the second hour I had had enough. I tried to kick him out. He wouldn't leave and instead said he would stop billing me while he figured it out. I was pretty ticked off at him but allowed him to stay. At this point he tried calling Sears. Another hour passed. He eventually got it installed, although not correctly. He had to drill holes in the side of my dishwasher that were not supposed to be there. I actually gave him permission to do that because I just wanted him to go. I met him at his truck to settle the bill because I didn't want him coming back to my house. I tried to use the Angieslist coupon for $30 off, but he wouldn't accept it. He said he had already done me a big favor by not charging for the last hour. Rather than argue I just sucked it up an paid him. I had had enough of him. After he left I assessed the situation. It was mostly done correctly. The dishwasher works fine. He didn't secure the drain line to anything. I had to do that later myself. I also had to go in later with silicone and fill the holes he drilled. To sum everything up, I am pleased with my dishwasher. I am pleased it works. I feel completely taken advantage of by O'Neil Plumbing. ***Update: After reading my review, Mr. O'Neill has done what he can to try to remedy the situation. I am adjusting my overall grade based on my experience Tim O'Neill seems like he cares about his company and his reputation. I still stand by my report, however it seems like the problem might not be with the company as a whole, just with that particular employee.
Description of Work: We hired O'Neil Plumbing to install our Kenmore dishwasher into our new kitchen remodel. Most of the plumbing was already finished. All we needed O'Neil to do was to hook up the new dishwasher to the dishwasher-ready under sink plumbing and secure the dishwasher to the adjoining cabinetry.

Response from O'Neill Plumbing
Dear Member, I can only apologize for the way your project went from start to finish. We have obviously failed to provide you the professional service you were expecting from us, and I'm sorry for that. I have just left you a voice mail hoping you will call me back so we can speak further about this, but in the meantime I am refunding your invoice. I hope you will give me another chance at regaining your trust in the future. Thank You, and again I apologize. Sincerely, Tim O'Neill

The person who answered the phone was pleasant and helpful. I told her that I had found them on Angie's List and was coming to them because they were rated the highest and that I wanted their "best plumber" . She said she would do that. However, somehow a plumber showed up at my door a day early and at the wrong time from O'Neil's saying that he was there to do my plumbing. He reeked of cigarette smoke and had a presense that did not inspire confidence in me. He seemed very casual and off-hand and wanted to get to work. I called O'Neil's to see what was going on since I didn't want to let him in my house nor was I prepared for them to do the work that day. They never really explained how this mix-up happened but agreed to have someone else show up on the right day. The next person who came out was professional and did the job fine, I guess. Some of the things he fixed stayed fixed and some didn't. It may be that he was trying to save me money by not immediately replacing things but it resulted in my having to have someone else come out to do it. The next person was fine too, I guess. They had to make three trips all together. We started in August and ended in October. Frankly, if their prices had not been so extremely SKY-HIGH it probably would not have bothered me as much as it did. But each time they came I had to take off work, or give up my free time to stand there with them. The first man parked on the street (2 flights of stairs from the front door) when he could have parked in my driveway, meaning every trip he made to the truck cost me money for the trip, He made A LOT of trips to his truck. He said he liked to do it that way to keep him in shape. I don't feel that their charges were justified. If they are such incredible experts in plumbing that merit such extraordianarily high pay then they should do the job right the first time and know exactly what they are doing and do it quickly and efficiently.
Description of Work: I had saved up a lot of little plumbing problems to be fixed all at once. An outdoor leaky faucet was replaced as well as another one that was also old. (it was $30 per faucet for parts) A leaky bathroom faucet was fixed (not replaced) One toilet was running intermittently and the other one's handle didn't pop back up. They tried to fix these once but they continued to have difficulties so they wound up replacing the piece inside the tank. The handle in the shower that controls water flow from the shower head to the hand-held shower was loose and was tightened. I had a tiny piece of gravel that had seized up the garbage disposal and it leaked. First they loosened it up. Then when it continued to leak, they installed the garbage disposal that they told me I needed to buy. (Their final price does not include the price of the garbage disposal because I bought it elsewhere.) The line that carried water to refrigerator had to be repaired (or replaced, I don't know which). The only significant parts that I can think of that were included in the price were the outdoor faucets already mentioned and the inner parts for the toilet tanks, therefore the grand mjority of the bill was for labor.

Called the company, told them that the hose on our old Grohe kitchen faucet was leaking, and asked then if they thought it might be better to go to Lowe's or the equivalent, buy a cheap faucet, and have them replace it instead of spending a whole lot of money to fix an old one. The receptionist told me she'd pass that on. The plumber came (on time), looked at it, and recommended fixing it because it was basically such a good faucet. He said he did not have the part in stock to fix it right then, but that he would take the faucet back to the shop, re-build it there, and return the next week. I admit I should've asked him at that point about how much it would be, but I didn't. He returned the following week with the repaired faucet (I wasn't there--my son was), and left a bill for $297 with tax---$90 for the part, and the rest for labor. I suspect that having to come out twice accounted for at least some of the labor costs. I do feel they should've communicated to me about how much it was going to cost, and let me decide whether or not to replace it with a new, albeit less well-made, faucet. We are planning a kitchen remodel in the next 5 years, so don't really care about the look--just want something to last 5 years without trouble. Basically, there was a bit of a communication gap about anticipated cost. The actual work done seemed fine, and the service person was very nice and professional.

Our hot water tank started leaking so I called O'Neill, based on their Angie score. They were very accomodating and had someone out that same day. My only complaint would be that I bought the package deal; they supplied the tank and installed it for a flat fee ($850). The tank is a standard one with the basic warranty, which I believe would have cost around $500 if I'd have bought it myself. It took the plumber about an hour to remove the old one and put in the new one, which means I paid something over $350 an hour for labor. I asked him why they didn't use a tank with a longer warranty (and thus, more expensive) and he explained that all the tanks use the same components; the higher cost just pays for the warranty repairs for a longer term. He said they all last about the same time and recommended replacing them every 10 years. He acknowledged that I was paying a lot for the install, but justified it by saying they are not all as easy as mine was, and they never know how complicated the install will be. Overall, I'm satisfied with the company.

When I called O'Neill plumbing my phone call was instantly answered by a real person who confirmed that they work in my neighborhood, listened to my explanation and routed me to the scheduler. She immediately started to get an appointment on the books, and when I then mentioned my rather specific timing restrictions she was able to be flexible and schedule the appointment for the very next afternoon. She reviewed the costs with me up front, which were on a par with quotes I had gotten from another company that was unable to fit me into their schedule. When I called back to reconfirm the appointment, I again got right through to a live person, I mention this twice because it made the experience so much more pleasant. The same woman reconfirmed everything and we were good to go. The only downgrade in the service was that the plumber who came out was either an hour late, OR the scheduler and I got our wires crossed when finalizing the appointment time. Since we discussed two separate times on separate days (4p.m Thursday or 3p.m. Friday) I definitely admit that there is a chance that I made my notes incorrectly. I don't think so, but it is possible. That said, by 4p.m. Friday, an hour after I think we scheduled the appointment, the plumber had not shown up yet at home. I called O'Neill, she checked in live with the plumber by cell phone, and advised me that he was just outside and would be in immediately, which he was. She did not say "He's not late, he's right on time," as she might have if I wrote down the time wrong; on the other hand she didn't make excuses and say that "oh, he got hung up for an hour at an earlier site." So while I would normally massively downgrade a company that comes an hour late, in this case I am just noting it as a "B" and I would urge future customers to schedule carefully and pay attention to the timing. The work was done very quickly, and to my complete satisfaction. There were no cleanliness issues at all, and as I mentioned in the other section, the plumber inspected the disposal for free to track down the source of a leak. There were no surprise charges, extra "machine fees" or anything of that nature, the work was performed exactly as expected and precisely in line with the quote given to me over the phone. All said, I would highly recommend O'Neill Plumbing and would not hesitate to mention them to friends and family.
Description of Work: We had a badly clogged kitchen drain immune to 'home remedies.' O'Neill sent a plumber out for next-day service who quickly (though not easily) snaked the drain. He also inspected our garbage disposal and found it leaking, which he dug into a little further to determine whether it was something he could fix on the spot (he couldn't due to a faulty part in the unit). He put everything back together, advised us to replace the disposal unit, and didn't add any extra charge for the extra 'inspection.'

The Service person did an adequate job; however, the charge for the sink repair parts was outragous. The firm canceled the original service call, which had to be rescheduled for a more inconvenient time. The service person seemed to be in a hurry to leave and left a tool behind.

The guy showed up, went downstairs and saw the blockage, and researched the issue, using their camera equipment in the drain. It was backed up, and they snaked the drain with a cable, and cleared the blockage. They then reset the downstairs toilet using 2 wax rings and re caulked the toilet as well as putting in new hardware screws to hold the toilet down. The technician, Steve Gaebler, then cleaned up the whole mess that had spilled out all over the floor. He didn't have to do this, but he was a professional and did a great job for me, which is why I was willing to use them again, and I did. I am just putting this report in because i have the work order. You cannot go wrong with these guys, and if you are an Angie's list customer, they give you a 10% discount which is nice. They are honest, and very knowledgable and really just impressed me to no end. I can't say enough good things about Steve. He was a great guy. Once you use them, you will never use anybody else. AGAIN, BEWARE PAT'S PLUMBING.......they are CROOKS. I promised I would scream from the mountain tops forever about how horrible they treated me and I will continue to warn people of those CROOKS.
Description of Work: Cabled and cleared blocked main drain. Reset toilet in basement with 2 wax rings and new bolts and calked totally cleaned up the entire backed up mess that had occurred and didn't even mention it in the work order, they just do excellent work, and take care of their customers. There was quite a mess from the backed up septic tank and they did a supurb job. My previous experience with Pat's Plumbing (BEWARE OF PAT'S PLUMBING), they would have charged me 1K. O'Neill Plumbing was prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job and got excellent value for my dollar. I love them.

Initially made an appointment for 2:00 PM on Friday the 16th of September, but nobody showed up by 3:30 PM. So I called their office, who advised me that their plumber had run into unexpected problems at his current job. I would have appreciated a call from O'Neill's to let me know instead of letting me wait ... ! In any event, I rescheduled with them for 1:00 PM on Monday the 19th. The plumber finally showed up at about 1:30 PM. The work went well and lasted for about 3 hours. The plumber had to remove some drywall to access the defective portions of the leaking drain pipe, and upon doing that, said, "I hope you know a good drywall guy", which told me right away that he wasn't responsible for fixing the drywall. OK - I thought to myself, but what about clean-up? Well, he did clean-up some of the mess, but asked to borrow my broom, dust-pan, and paper bags to do it. During the job, he had to cut-to-fit some plastic pipe, etc., just outside my kitchen door on the stairs, which left quite a bit of plastic filings/bits on the stairs, etc. These he did not clean up, and I noticed later that a lot of these bits were tracked inside, and all the way to the bath-room, (which he used one time). So I had to mark him down a bit on, "Professionalism". But all in all, he did a good job of repairing my leaking drain. I thought the price was a bit high, but admittedly, I haven't had that many plumbing jobs done recently, so I may be a bit off there.

I had been experiencing noises in my plumbing at all hours of the day and night. The Woodinville Water District personnel and two other plumbers could not identify the problem. The company is prompt, concerned with customer satisfaction and Dale did a terrific job. I highly recommend this company without reservation. Outstanding!!!

Randy promptly arrived and gave me an estimate and told me what they would be doing and when. He arived with the project co-ordinator and the 5 very professional team members. They listened to me and respected my knowledge of my house and the history of the maintanence. They protectd my elaborate landscaping and restored the areas to the point that only if you looked closely could you tell that they had been there for several days and that the trenches 3 feet deep and several yards long had been dug by hand and excavators., The city inspector was satisfied with their work. I was pleased not to have to clean up after them. I now have several clean out access ports to clear problems with a floor drain, side sewer line near the house and 140 feet from the house near the city mainline. They returned after 3 weeks and made a CD of the new sewer line and responded to a concern I had about the new cement.
Description of Work: New drain put in basement floor. New drainage line from kitchen sink routed into new side sewer connection and sewer line replaced to street city main line-- approx 150 feet in length. Landscaping protected and restored. Four (4 ) days work that included city inspection.

This project went very smoothly. From the time I received quote until job was completed was only 8 days. Have used them several times in the past to clean out drains and plan to call them in the future.
Description of Work: Removal of old, heavy concrete sink (pipes and drain already disconnected) by sledge hammer, assembled new faucet to new sink, rerouted copper pipes to new sink with shut-off valves, and installed new clean-out to drain pipe. Then tested for leaks and found drain pipe could not handle the fast flowing sink. He called the office and we set-up appointment for the next day to have pipe clean. He advised that it would only take about 30minutes and they will not bill me for the clean out!l A plumber working in the area came and found some tree roots.

We have used O'Neill exclusively for several years now. They are the best plumber we've ever worked with. Always on time, very professional, and extremely helpful. On this most recent visit, the plumber arrived and quickly addressed all of our issues, including getting the pilot light lit on our water heater. The next day, the pilot light went out again. It was a Saturday... O'Neill had a plumber stop by that afternoon; he lit the light again at no charge! He suggested we give it another day or two before engaging in a costly repair job on the ignition system. As it turns out, we had exterior painting being done on the house and it was impacting the airflow to the pilot light. No costly repair needed!
Description of Work: The pilot light on our water heater kept going out. In addition, we had some issues with the shower control in our master bath as well as outdorr fawcett issues around the house.

the story is only just begun I will follow up after we have been able to determine how to get this job completed.
Description of Work: we have some old plumbing and issues. I needed to get a estimate for what I knew would be a "big job Brad was the nicest person, clearly explained what we needed and how we could go about it. He has even rescheduled another appointment with the man who he suggests for the repair of walls which will follow. We can speak with them together and than plan a budget to pay for getting the work done. I am very impressed and will write a review after we have all the work concluded. Thanks Angie!!!!!

Initially we were not sure if a repair was possible and Cevin from O'Neill provided us with two separate quotations - one for a repair and a second quotation if the line needed to be complete replaced. I appreciated having all of the information available from the beginning, se we were prepared either way and understood the costs and overall process. The staff at O'Neill (Michael and Julio) were very professional and friendly, and kept me abreast of their work. From time to time, they would ask me to come out and see where they were in the process.
Description of Work: O'Neill's repaired our main water line. There was a leak near the water meter; they excavated the site, repaired the leak and then backfilled the site and cleaned-up. .

I called them a little before 10am to see if they could come fix my clogged kitchen sync, they gave me a window of 1 to 3pm the same day. At around 1:30 they called back to let me know that a plumber was en-route to my place. Overall great service. The reason I gave them a B for price is because the bill was a little higher than I expected but then again I didn't really know what to expect in that dept so that may not be fair.
Description of Work: Kitchen sync was clogged

They were very knowledgeable. We were very happy with them. They installed a 75-gallon tank. They came out and gave us the bid. Their bid was competitive. He did the work at fairly short notice. The water kept leaking into the old water heater. It lasted for so many years; but suddenly it went bad. We had him out within 48 hours, and they installed it. We were quite impressed with them. They were very prompt. They said they do the work with the surprises.
Description of Work: O'Neill Plumbing Co put in a new water heater for us about three months ago.

I wouldn't call any other plumber. I have used them for a few times. I feel safe with them in my home and I couldn't ask for a better plumber. I really like that when you call you speak with a live person. They always honor my discount. I recommended them to my daughter, who had a great experience also.
Description of Work: They did plumbing work, including installiing a hot water heater, installing new pipes when my pipes burst, and put in a new faucet.
