They were excellent. On time for appointments, clear about the problem and our options, and I can't say enough about the care taken in working on our property. They had to dig a huge hole in our side yard and following the repair you could not tell anything had been done. They even returned to rake away loose dirt (that I couldnt see).

Right off the plumber they sent out, Peter, said that replacing the pipes that lead to the shutoff would be extremely expensive since they were accessible by a small hole in the ceiling of a closet and surrounded by other pipes. He suggested that we try instead to find the original handle that broke (it was plastic) and try to replace just the handle without mucking with redoing the pipes. But this valve was 12 years old, so finding the handle may be hard. He took some pictures of the handle with his phone and left from this first visit. He came back a couple of weeks later with about 4-5 valves he had found, and tried each one. One almost worked, but could be pulled off easier than it should have. So this time he took clay impressions of the writing on the pipe to research more on his own time from home. He said he might be able to find it on the internet on a plumber?s bulletin board. He spent about an hour on this visit, and they sent us a bill for this hour?s work, which was fine since the plumber worked much more than an hour of work due to finding and purchasing the valves. In between visits, my building manager found the correct valve and found the trick to putting it on (he has some experience with these valves from other units). When O?Neill plumbing found out we were able to fix it ourselves, they decided not to charge us for the second visit either. I found this company to be competent and fair. I actually tried to pay them for the second hour anyway since I felt it was fair since the plumber did the work, but they thanked me and said they didn?t want to take the money. I will call O?Neill first for all future plumbing work and highly recommend them.

Was able to get an appointment very quick. Showed up on time. Took an hour to fix the pop-up problem. Used the parts he brought himself instead of the ones that we bought. Price a little too hefty ($90 first half hour, $80 every half hour after)

We had a new kitchen sink installed by a plumber affiliated with a counter top installation company. We noticed a few problems with the plumbing and wanted someone competent to look at it and make sure it was okay. We also had a kitchen sink drain that had been clogged for awhile, but would respond a bit to liquid declogging products. We called O'Neill Plumbing on Saturday morning and left a message as it wasn't an emergency. O'Neill called us back first thing Monday morning and John K. was at our door two hours later. John looked at the under sink plumbing and made a few minor changes and told me it was fine. He then looked into the clog. It turned out to be a nasty sludge pack. He worked hard to clear this sludge pack and now the drain works very well. It could have been a big mess, but John took care to contain everything. He kept me informed of what was happening and what he planned to do. I was pretty nervous about it, but he explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and I felt much better. It was a very stubborn clog and it took awhile to clear it out, but he assured me that he wouldn't leave until he got it working. When he gave me the invoice I was pleasantly surprised because while it wasn't inexpensive, it wasn't overly expensive either. Their rates seemed very fair given the quality of the work and the complexity of my problem. This was my first experience with this company, and I was very impressed. John K. was knowledgeable and he had the experience and the equipment to get the job done. He was also a very kind and hardworking person. From now on, O'Neill Plumbing is my plumber and it gives me a great peace of mind to know they are there if I need them.

I had a backed up sewer on a Friday night discovered by the bathtub and toilet backing up at the same time. I called O'Neill for advice after trying another plumber and hanging up in frustration because they wouldn't help me over the phone. The guy at O'Neill was great and said someone would call back to talk to me. Within the time he called back, the toilet water went down encouraging me to try flushing it. It worked. A manager type called back from O'Neill to tell me it was a soft block and that I could either pay through the nose for someone to come out on Saturday or wait til Monday. He was great. He reassured me that it would be fine to wait and said he'd have the office call first thing at 7 AM on Monday morning just to check up on me. They did, right on the dot too. I scheduled the sewer cleanout for next day and the guy who came was very nice and complete in his work. He even showed me with the scope where the trouble spots were and marked it on the lawn. He also gave me advice on replacing the sewer and who to talk to in the office. I'm telling you, I won't go to anyone else. O'Neill may be more expensive than other places (not sure about that), but I love working with a locally owned company and talking to real people and getting real advice rather than dealing with a call center. These guys know their stuff and are great to work with.

We had been hearing a strange noise from the kitchen plumbing whenever we turned on the water. It didn't sound particularly dangerous but when it didn't go away, and seemed to get more frequent, we decided we needed to get it checked out - we had no luck in finding the source when we did our own little investigation. The plumber came out, was very courteous and friendly, and not the least bit condescending when we discovered the source was that the outdoor spigot had been left turned on (with the hose nozzle keeping it from flowing) so pressure was unusually high. Easy fix! While he was here, I asked him to clean out a couple of bathroom drains that were running slow. He was quick and very professional and did a great job. I would definitely call them again.

The service was organized and professional. I would use then again.

We had been having issues with our side sewer for years. It seemed at least twice a year it would start backing up. We always thought it was just roots from the maple and I'd usually just go to the Home Depot, rent the power snake and do it myself. Last fall, it started happening with increasing frequency, I was having to go every month and then the last time I did it, it only lasted a week before starting to back up. I knew I needed to call in the pros and get a camera down there to see what was really going on. I called O'Neill based on the feedback from this site. Nelson showed up the next day and had to snake the line again to get a camera down there. What he was able to see was some rocks. He located and marked the spot next to the house where the problem was. I was thankful it wasn't underneath the rockery as I had been dreading. I agreed that some sort of repair was obviously needed and asked for an estimate. Cevin came out the next date, evaluated the situation and provided what I thought was a fairly reasonable estimate. I based this on my experience having to have the side sewer replaced on my old house on 35th SW which was about three times the price. That one involved jackhammering and replacing a portion of sidewalk as well as blocking a lane of traffic. They were good about accommodating me into their schedule and bumped me up as they had another project a couple of blocks away. The crew showed up the next day mid afternoon and began immediately excavating by hand. They weren't able to expose the pipe that day, but showed up promptly at 8am (actually 7:40) the next day and got right back to work. They worked very quickly and efficiently. The pipe was exposed and they didn't see a break in the line. They cut into it and sure enough it was full of rocks. They excavated back further towards the house and found a connecting Y that was originally connected to the downspout, but that had been bypassed by corrugated plastic and either not capped or the cap failed. They cleaned out all of the rocks and debris from the line and did another cleanout and camera inspection down to the city main to ensure that everything was clear. They then replaced the dug up section with PVC pipe and fittings and added an additional cleanout. They also replaced the section of the corrugated plastic from the downspout that they had to remove to get to the main line. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work they did and the explanations of exactly what they were doing throughout the process. I would recommend them again, especially over some of the larger plumbing companies who have folks that actually work on commission so are motivated to sell you stuff you don't need. They did the work exactly as specified in the contract, and in a professional, timely manner.

We had broken shower pipes/head. They sent Steve, who arrived right at 8:00, diagnosed the problem, and finished with the repair and cleanup in 30 minutes. Outstanding, professional, and friendly. Will call again in a heartbeat.

I liked the man O'Neill sent out to the house. He was very nice and helpful and took the time to explain the problem to me. He even showed me how to adjust the piece if it were to happen again. When he was explaining the problem to me he told me he was off the clock and he only charged me for the time he was doing the service, not for the extra help he gave me.

Dale was punctual, seemed very knowledgeable and professional in his approach. Gave good advice on leak in master shower but did not fix as we are going to remodel the entire bathroom. Did work on two toilets. A bit more expensive than I would have expecxted as I thought he spent about 90 minutes of actual labor while he charged me for 120 minutes.

I've used O'Neill Plumbing on several occasions recently. They are always responsive, accurate, and cost-effective. I have 2 rental homes with various plumbing issues (water leaks, drain back ups, etc.) and O'Neill has always been able to resolve these issues with about 1-2 days from when I call. They communicate well and the billing is accurate and timely. Highly recommended!

They are pretty reasonable. They pointed out how I can fix the valve myself, which I appreciated for the future. They also helped to figure out that there was a shut off that was partially closed somewhere that was causing a reduction in water pressure after the water was flowing making noise. It took them a little bit longer than an hour, but they charged me only half an hour time and partly because the guy was very chatty, so he did not feel right about charging me more, but made a point to show me how to do things. I spent right around the $100 or $120, whatever the half an hour rate was and I think it was $120 plus tax. I would definitely recommend them to others; they seem to be very honest and diligent in their effort. I did have a prior experience where I actually asked them to figure out what the problem was with the reduction in water problem, but they could not figure it out at that time and I had my fiancé there and not myself, so for me to say it would be difficult. They were within the time frame that they said they would be here.

I called O'neill because they're local and because of the reviews they've received. I was not dissapointed! From the friendly woman I spoke to on the phone, to John, our knowledgeable plumber who just left and fixed our clogged pipe. I'll definately call O'neill again! When we started having water back up into the downstairs shower, from the washer AND the kitchen sink (upstairs!), we were worried it was a major issue. John arrived promptly at 10am (we were told between 10am and noon). He was very personable and offered to put shoe covers on right away, which I appreciated. After a quick assessment, he ran the snake thru our main line and found our issue about 70' out, and just like that it was gone! He put the toilet back together, complete with new wax seal, cleaned up and was done and out the door in an hour. With my Angie's list coupon, it was the best $178 I've ever spent. I know others have given their price a B grade, but come on people...you're calling a plumber! They were actually about $20 less per hour than another local company I called.

They came in and knew exactly what the problem was. Got the needed machine to unclog the drain and they were in and out within an hour. (there would have been an extra charge for over and hour) They did it under an hour and mentioned that they were trying to do that. They were informative, clean and efficient.

Well, I had two dripping faucets/showerheads and one got fixed right away which was great, although it always hurts to pay that big trip fee for a 10 minute washer change. Anyway, the problem came with the 2nd leak. The plumber said he would have to research the shower fixture type/model and never got back to me, I called repeatedly and they kept saying they would get back to me with info or to schedule another look at the project but I never got a call. Good job on leak #1, but super bad on follow-through for leak #2!

The technician came at the exact time of the appointment. He was professional and explained what he was doing. He was there to perform the job, not to sell me anything or to find things that I had not identified as issues.

We got a call from O'Neill Plumbing before the plumber came. The plumber corrected the problem (the sink now drains beautifully) and was a good representative for his company. He always removed his shoes before entering the house and was a total gentleman throughout the job. We are totally satisfied.

Great customer service. No problems with installation of new or removal of old. A better unit was installed (O'Neill's standard replacement) that will be more energy efficient and less likely to fail.

Ken arrived early, was pleasant and professional, had the replacement disposal with him, went right to work and was done promptly. He quickly cleaned up and submitted the invoice which was the amount we expected.

Plumber arrived early (after verifying by phone that this was acceptable) and very quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. However, there were a few things about the visit that could have been more professional. The plumber never introduced himself, so I don't know his name. I had called and requested an assessment of our issue, so that my husband and I could decide if we wanted to repair or replace our water heater. The plumber did make the statement that the water heater needed replacing, and I said that I would prefer a repair, but in his 'investigation' of where the leak was coming from, he simply began the repair - with no estimate/quote for service costs - and no explicit approval from me. Luckily, the cost of his work was within a limit that I could accept and there was no further issue, but I did feel a bit like there was some misunderstanding in what I had asked for and expected and how it was handled. Bottom line is, the repair was fairly priced and executed quickly. I have learned my lesson, in that I will be much more explicit in my request/expectations, prior to letting another person begin any assessment/work in the future.

I had a severely clogged toilet (mangos don't go there) They came out right away and took care of the problem fast and with a smile (laughing inside at the mangos I'm sure) I'd have them come back again but not for mangos this time.

They are reliable, fair and I like the service crew that they sent. They have good employees. I only use this company so it is difficult to compare their pricing. I will continue to use them in the future.

I have a chronic toilet back-up in the kids' bathroom. They said it was the toilet paper that was causing the problem, and that my toilet was sound. They also said the underlying plumbing seemed fine. I appreciate them not exaggerating the issue and giving me such a simple solution. They were super courteous and professional. I would defniitely use them again.
