Their service is great. Once they did not charge for the service because it was a small repair. The second time the price was reasonable.

I thought i was having an issue with an overflowing toilet and also a very loose kitchen sink. Of course when the plumber arrived, the toilet was working perfectly and turns out there was no issue but the plumber still tested it and told me it was fine. He also fixed our sink which our previous handyman was not able to do. It took a little time but he tightened it all up and now works great (can't speak for a few months from now of course!). They called beforehand as I asked them to. They were exactly on time (gave me a window of 2-4 and arrived at 2). Would definitely call them again. I called 3 other plumbers for pricing - they are all expensive, with the angie's list coupon this one seemed to be the best deal too.

I first used O'Neill plumbing when my sewer line failed and needed replacing the week before Christmas of 2011. I went for the best local plumbing company recommended, this is not a time to shop around! Even if it had been any other time of the year their service could not have been better. This week I found corrosion on a pipe and pressure valve where the water line enters the house. I was getting ready to wall over this area and was upset with the original wanna be plumber who had screwed up the work (Me!). I dropped by O'Neill Plumbing's office and described my problem and also requested they move my shut off valve so it would not be hidden from view. The work was scheduled for my preferred time. Tyler arrived on schedule and we went through what I wanted. All was completed in a few hours and the work is just as requested and very well done. There is real peace of mind when you have a plumber who is responsive and does the job you need when you need it. Thanks O'Neill

I called them Friday morning, they were out early afternoon. They were prompt and professional. The plumber (Fernando I think his name was), was friendly and fast. He quickly assessed the situation, what he would need to do, and got to work. He worked quickly, and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it.

Came right on time, but had to go get parts because I had given them the wrong diameter of the pipe - this caused a short delay, but I was kept advised of everything in a professional way. While checking how the repair had gone, John found another pinpoint leak and did what should be a good, quick fix. He also told me exactly what would have to be done if this does not work. I was very impressed with every aspect of how this was done and will definitely call this company the next time I need any plumbing work.

Noticed our kitchen sink had a small leak. I've used O'Neill Plumbing in the past for a repair to my bathroom sink and was happy to have a go-to plumber to call. Was able to get someone out immediately. They were on time, knowledgeable and able to quickly diagnose and fix my leak. Turned out we needed to replace our garbage disposal. Tyler from O'Neill had three different disposals on hand. He did a good job outlining what each model had to offer and the pros and cons to each, with out any pressure to purchase the more expensive options. He installed the new disposal and had the sink ready to go very quickly. I've worked with two different plumbers from this company - both were very professional and knowledgeable. I've referred O'Neill to friends, who have also been very happy with their service. Highly recommend.

After a large party consisting of kids and adults, our basement toilet bowl was not flushing well that we had to use a plunger the next day. Then we noticed the sewer back-up in the bath tub. We used Drano but it was still the same problem the next day. Then it started getting worse as whatever we flush on the upper level of the house, the sewer back-up happens. My husband tried to snake the toilet bowl, tub, main drain using different lengths that we can find in Home Depot and used drain openers but all were not solving the problem. And it got worse everytime. The smell also has gotten worse. We were hesitant to use a plumbing company as the last one we used to install a dish washer charged us more than how much the dish washer cost and still was not able to make it work. But, I found O'Neill plumbing and am very happy with the service I got. John was very quick, direct to his work and nice guy. He did not leave any messes and made sure the carpet stayed clean. I will not hesitate calling them for future plumbing services and would even refer them to my friends!

I had placed a large amount (half a package) of cooked spaghetti down the garbage disposal (a little at a time) thinking it would be okay. I soon found out that pasta expands after cooking when it gets wet, and it created a blockage in my pipes within the walls, possibly where it connects to the main waist line that goes out to the street. I had tried to snake it and pour drain cleaner down, but it didn't work. O'Neill was booked up but gave me an appointment in the next couple of days after I called, but they also put me on a cancellation-call list. A few hours later I received a phone call and they sent somebody out. The gentleman was very nice, clean, and quick. He came in with his electric snake, spent about 15 minutes working at it, and got it all cleared. He was here about 30 minutes with setup, clean out, and tear down. Very nice and professional and took care to keep my house clean. He even cleaned up some of the mess I left under the sink from my attempt! There is no question if I have another plumbing issue, I will call O'Neill.

O'Neil's showed up on time assessed the situation and gave me a quote to fix in 15 minutes. I agreed and they returned the next day to do the work as they required a different sized drain pipe. Plumber arrived on time again went straight to work and was done in 30 mins. NO MORE SMELL! only lived with that for 5 months. So happy with the service and quick response he also reviewed some other concerns which we will fix in the future with our "new" system that another plumber (if you can call him that) installed.

I had guests in my downstairs bedroom for the first time in probably half a year. They told me when I turned the hot water handle on high there's a drilling like noise from the water pipeline. I wanted to make sure it was fixed for them ASAP so I call ONeill. They were very professional and took down my number and told me I would get a call back. Sure enough within 10 minutes I got a call. Instead of telling me they are driving over the technician asked me a number of questions over the phone and was able to diagnose the issue on the phone and help me fix the problem myself in just minutes without charging me (turned out to be a really simple issue of shutoff valve being half closed - not sure who did that or when). My guests are now happy and there's no doubt I will rely on them in the future - they are clearly not out there to just take your money but rather to provide real service.
Description of Work: In this case I asked for a technician to come out but it turns out the problem was really simple and I could fix it myself in just a few seconds. They asked me to explains the problem and helped me diagnose potential causes and was right on the spot with the solution - in the end it didn't cost me anything whereas they could have come out, fix the problem in 3 seconds and billed me for $80.

I sent an email and first thing the next morning I got a call to schedule time. The person I spoke with was very helpful and cooperative. They were able to come out at the time I was available. The plumber was early and was very professional and thorough. He checked my faucets, my water heater and eliminated any of the issues he thought it could be. He wasn't able to find a leak, thinks that it may be the wetness in my foundation that is being absorbed by the insulation but referred me to a leak company with sophisticated equipment that may help pinpoint a small leak. He was at my home for about an hour the cost was around $200. Overall I was satisfied with the service and would use them again.

I have used O'Neill Plumbing two times in past month; they are pricey but comparable to other local plumbing companies' rates. They are quite busy so it took about a week to get them scheduled to come out, although likely they would have found a way to schedule me sooner if I had an emergency repair. Tyler arrived promptly at scheduled time. He was polite, respectful, explained what he was doing and quickly completed work. Would hire again! (Also a discount for Angie's List members).
Description of Work: My kitchen sink was making a terrible squealing/groaning sound when I ran the water and the sprayer was leaking when used including causing a small leak under the sink. Plumber, Tyler, replaced aerator at faucet which stopped squealing sound (as well as increased water pressure significantly). He also tightened a connection on sprayer which fix leak at sprayer as well as small leak under sink. Overall work took about 20 minutes.

did and the likelihood the work he did caused the issue as we never had a problem until their plumber visited us that same day, explaining there is now water in my walls causing damage etc. After a lengthy discussion, what O'Neill extracted from this (both their Receptionist/Appointment scheduler, and the next plumber they sent out to me), was that I have a problem with water leaking into my walls and needed them to fix it. There was no recognition of the correlation between visits that I was made aware of. The earliest appoint they could schedule was a few days after the initial visit, leaving me without use of my kids tub for that time. The second plumber arrived and was all business, took a look, told me the lever crank was bad and needed to be replaced. Told him fine - I had a work call to jump on (I work from home) and he finished up and left before I was off. There was a bill for $350 some odd dollars on my kitchen counter. I called O'Neill again explaining the situation, and my surprise at getting a bill for the services. The receptionist told me she would talk to both plumbers and get back to me. A day later she got back to me, and tells me this: the lever apparatus in my kids bathroom needed replacing. The first plumber should have known/done that on the first visit, but instead tried to "rebuild" it, which caused the problem. So since it needed replacing anyway, they would remove the labor from the second visit but I am responsible for the parts. Seems reasonable, however here's the questions I asked myself, and the reason for this review: If it the lever apparatus needing replacing on the first visit and the plumber instead decided to "rebuild" it - 1) why did he not test it, and notice water pouring out of it - or is O'Neill's position that it worked when the plumber left and on first use that same day it broke and caused water damage in my home, 2) why didn't he make me, the customer, aware of this fact - even after a rebuild it might be good to know it may crap out or need replacing soon. Lastly, and most importantly, after twice explaining the correlation in visits and damage to my home, there was absolutely no acknowledgement of the correlation in the visits and even the possibility of their culpability in causing or contributing to the problem. So I paid for the parts and will walk away from this and O'Neill. Had O'Neill been sensitive to my experience with their company in it's totality, and done the right thing - which in my mind is covering the cost of the second visit to correct their mistake, which is the least they could do after the damage to my home they contributed to - this review would look a lot different, and as I said at the beginning of this review, they would have earned a loyal customer and a walking advertisement, not a cautionary tale. I hope this review is helpful to some.
Description of Work: UPDATE DEC 6th, 2012. Raising my overall rating and professionalism to an A for the experience I just had. Tim O'Neill called me personally first thing this morning to apologize for my experience, and offered to cover the cost of the second visit. He went on to explain the training and customer professionalism both his plumbers and office staff are trained for, and in my case they missed the mark. He expressed genuine concern with my experience, compassion and willingness to understand what exactly happened to my home as a result of the incident. In this day and age of increasing impersonal digital interactions, it was a refreshing personal dialog and reconciliation of a bad customer experience. I was fortunate enough to satisfy my curiosity about whether the owner/operator at O'Neill would agree with how the situation was handled - and it does speak volumes about Tim and O'Neill's high level of integrity. Thank you. It's unfortunate that my first experience could have been one that kept me as a loyal customer, instead I will turn anyone who asks away from using O'Neill Plumbing. Here are the facts and you can make your own determination on whether to use them - perhaps my experience was unique. Whether it was or not, it's how they chose to handle me as a customer after services were rendered with which I have a problem. I would be very curious to know if the owner operator of this company, after hearing this experience, would agree with their actions or handle it differently - it would speak volumes about the integrity of this organization. I made an appointment with O'Neill because hot water from was coming out of our bathtub faucets a little yellowish in color. I want to be clear here that our home was built 10 years ago (and purchased by me less than a year prior to this review, where a spotless appraisal/inspection was done on our plumbing and sewer system), with high end finishes, and prior to me making this appointment there was nothing wrong with our plumbing other than slight hot water discoloration. The plumber arrived, and did an inspection of all the bathrooms in my home. He disassembled all faucets in the sinks and tubs (except the Master bath tub, which is not in question here) to access the screens/filters in the faucets. He showed me one screen in particular and there were bits of copper in the screens, which he said is common, but not likely the cause of my issue. He then reassembled all the faucets in the home (or perhaps did this after the hot water heater inspection). He then went on to the hot water heater. After about 15 minutes he showed me a bucket of very dirty brown water that had come out of my water heater, which was most likely my issue. He then went back and continued to flush the water heater, and after an hour advised me the dirty water was not getting flushed, and his recommendation was to replace the water heater at roughly $3700. So he made arrangements to schedule the replacement at my request. I paid him ~$360 for this visit. That day (evening), my wife gave my kids a bath in their bathroom, which is on the 3rd floor of my home and directly above my home's second floor front door/porch. The next morning, I noticed the my front door porch/mat was soaking wet and there was a puddle around it. My porch is covered, and when there is rain it's noticeable around the perimeter of my porch - however it was dry everywhere else except around the front door. I looked up above my front door and there is water damage to the paint above the front door. I put 2 and 2 together and remember the plumber was here yesterday, and I go upstairs to my kids bathroom and run the faucet in the bath, and water is streaming out from below the metal plate surrounding the water faucet handle. When I unscrew the plate and run the faucet, water is pouring out the mechanics of the lever inside the walls of my house, which has obviously caused the water leakage damaging my paint, walls, patio deck and front door mat. So I call O'Neill and explain the matter, including the previous visit from their plumber, explaining the work he

Response from O'Neill Plumbing
After reading the customer's comments this morning I picked up the phone and we had a nice conversation about the details of his project and the experience with my staff. We dropped the ball, didn't send the same person back to correct the repairs needed, and failed to communicate between our scheduling dept, our plumbers, and most importantly our customer. This is a great lesson learned for us, and I am very sorry for the lack of professionalism shown while on Brian's project. Thank you for your understanding on the phone this morning customer.I look forward to helping you in the future. Sincerely, Tim O'Neill

We had a clogged toilet and I called O'Neill Plumbing in the morning to see if I could set up a service call as soon as possible. The receptionist was extremely friendly and customer service oriented and said she could send someone out that same day. Gabe arrived earlier than the estimated time window, which I appreciated. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the toilet and proceeded to unclog it. I then asked if he could take a look at some faucets that had developed leaks. He took apart the faucets, analyzed the problem and showed me what steps to take to fix the faucets (very basic fixes). I was very happy with Gabe and O'Neill Plumbing. Gabe was very professional, polite and friendly and he cleaned up the areas very well after he was done. He also made sure to take his shoes off before he entered the house each time. I appreciated that O'Neill Plumbing was very responsive and sent someone out that same day. I would definitely use them again in the future! HIghly recommend.
