O'Neill Plumbing

O'Neill's guy showed up exactly when dispatch said he would. He was professional, smart and funny. He ably dealt with the issue and impressed me immensely. The cost was not insignificant, but you get what you pay for with O'Neill. Besides what would you pay if you had no toilet, and subsequently no water because you botched the repair on Sunday morning with your wife glaring at you...?

I appreciated being given several options for solving the problem and addressing future potential problem. Service provider also provided great suggestions to make our lives easier dealing with the existing drain.

They were punctual and courteous and removed the debris afterwards.

Gabe was on time (early, actually, with an advanced call). He was courteous and very professional. The work went without a hitch. I did not know that they made water hammer arrestors for the supply lines for washing machines. He said these are required for new installations. He had some with him and installed one on the hot water line (the charge for the Mini-Rester, $32, was a little less that the part costs on Amazon). The arrestor helped reduce the water hammer, but Gabe said that to eliminate it would require the installation of a brace in the wall between two studs. I elected to live with it. The work took two hours @$190/hour.

Arrived on time, performed repair quickly and professionally. Very courteous.

I had a small drip leak on an outdoor patio faucet. John stopped by and investigated the issue, finding that we might have to replace the entire faucet. This would have resulted in a lot of extra work opening up the wall, and subsequently repairing the paint, etc. John went out of his way to research a simpler solution, a small rubber o-ring. The o-ring was quickly installed and the problem was solved to my complete satisfaction. Great service, and real expertise finding this simple solution.

They came on time, were very professional and their interior finish work went beyond my expectation. I gave them a B on Responsiveness due to a problem at the City/Property connection, not their fault, but I as I didn't know, I called them, numerous times, never heard back over the night, so was pretty frustrated. It was fixed by the city very quickly the following day, but a simple phone call to mitigate my concern would have gone a long way. Other than that, great company, great work and I'd use them in an instant again.

We had them perform a fairly easy repair related to the washing machine, which was taken care of in a fastidious manner. We also asked for an estimate for some more extensive repairs, as we just moved into an 80-year-old house which needs a lot of updates. The technician was condescending to us, and the price for the work done, as well as the estimate, was well over what other providers told us to expect. We will not call them again unless it's an emergency. The work we had done that day was done well, and the technician was on-time, if the experience itself was not very good otherwise.

All was fixed quickly to correct the problem.

I needed them to unclog/snake an outside drain for the gutters. They sent an inexperienced employee who had to contact another employee for advise few times during the appointment about solving the issue. He tried but was unable to fix the issue and was unable to reach his advisor not he other end; time and money spent but no results.

Cut tree root that was causing washer water to come out of toilet.

I had one gentleman come and give an estimate on repairing a pipe. Another gentleman came out and gave an estimate on a whole house replumbing. They punctual. I feel the price for the replumbing was too much. I'm not going to use their services.

It went great! I got a reminder call the day before. The plumber arrived slightly ahead of schedule which was great. He was very polite and introduced himself. I had some parts for one toilet, the other needed some parts. He was able to fix them both and use the parts I already had. I also wanted to know if our toilets were the water saving type or the old 3 gallon per flush ones so he checked that aspect too. They were all water saving so we didn't need to replace any, but if we had they carried toilets on their truck. I thought the price was very reasonable and I'm so happy it was easy to get the toilets fixed and working properly again. Thank you.

My experience went very well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was a little high but the quality of service was worth it. I was pleased with the outcome of the service and would recommend this company to others.

Unfortunately my toilet stopped working on a weekend. I had to pay weekend rates, but it was worth it to get the toilet working again. They had to replace the "stuff" inside the tank.

The water service pipe to my house began to leak into the front yard as a result of the freezing weather in mid Dec 2013. I called O?Neill Plumbing Co. for assistance. Although I was told that they had received a large pool of broken pipe and weather related calls, Cevin Farnsworth arrived within approximately two hours to evaluate the problem, provide a cost estimate and contact the city to have the water shutoff. He said that his crew (Frank and his helper) would probably be able to get a temporary fix in place by the next day, which they did. Then they efficiently excavated and replaced the broken pipe, added all the necessary connections, got the city inspection and restored the front yard to as near normal as possible. The total elapsed time since the first call was approximately 3.5 days. I appreciated their expert work and quick response.

Prompt service. Arrived on time. Very professional and got the job done to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and neighbors.

I could not be happier with the service I received from O'Neiils! From beginning to end the service was prompt and professional. John needed to drill a hole in the vent pipe to get to the clog but he did it cleanly and quickly and was a pleasure to deal with. Even before applying my Angie's List coupon, the repair cost was much lower than I had anticipated. Great experience. Highly recommend!

I chose O'Neill Plumbing because of their high rating on Angie's list and their fee was more reasonable than other vendors. I also appreciated the customer service by Kelly at their office, trying to work out a schedule with me as soon as she could, because I had no shower available. John came out exactly on time, quickly assessed and fixed my drain issue on my tub very fast. He went under the crawl space to confirm there were no additional leaks. He also checked the tub faucets, saw they were a little loose and tightened everything up for me. While he was here, I asked him about my toilet that had been having some issues and he was very honest and upfront that repairing a toilet of this age really was not worth the expense(s) for the parts/labor, because another piece might break down the road. He had a new water efficient toilet in his truck and so I asked him to replace the toilet. He installed an efficient quiet toilet - love it! The toilet was a better quality and also a better price (with installation) than I could have gotten with Loews or Home Depot. This drain repair and toilet installation was all done just under an hour. Amazing. He was extremely methodical and exact. Everything was explained to me and cleaned-up very well. I especially appreciated John's insight into sealing the toilet around the edges - it is now more sanitary and looks very good. I was extremely pleased with the service and will absolutely use O'Neill Plumbing again!!

Old houses with old plumbing are never fun, but Tyler helped to make the process less painful. He was able to explain what was wrong with the installation from 20+ years ago, and was a great problem-solver when confronted with less than ideal materials. We'd gladly hire O'Neill Plumbing to do future work.

I was told the technician would arrive between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. and John arrived at 4:45 - which was a pleasant surprise! He was very courteous & professional. He kept me informed of the steps he was taking and made sure everything was thoroughly resolved. He also made a recommendation to improve on my drain set up and after reviewing the recommendation and cost did a great job implementing the improvement. I was very pleased with O'Neill & will used them again without hesitation.

It went very well and I use them a lot. I also recommended them to one of my best friends who used their services as well.

He had to fabricate shims from plastic rings which I suppose were meant to be used for other situations.
