They answered the phone quickly enough and it wasn't a recording. However, the woman who answered informed me that they couldn't get anyone out to see me until next Monday. This is Tuesday. I have a plumbing emergency. I cannot wait 7 days! Angie's List reviewers rate this place highly. Guess I'll never know. We don't call plumbers because we need things fixed sometime in the future - we call plumbers when we have problems that have to be dealt with ASAP. Same day service is crucial. As good as this place may be, I think they are obviously stretched too thin.

Toilets fixed, but shock of my life when bill arrived. BEWARE - their 190$ hourly rate is actually a 1/2 hourly rate.

I had a sewer backup in my basement on a Saturday afternoon. I called several plumbers and left messages but O'Neill was the only one to call me back within 5 minutes. Although I rated them with a B for price because they do charge an overtime rate (not all companies do), I have nothing but good things to say about the service they provided. John Keigley was the plumber who came out and he got here within 45 minutes of my first call. He was very efficient and professional and he truly enjoys his line of work. Although I had already called my insurance company and they had told me I had full coverage, I asked him to provide the detail of what he did on the invoice and he was very thorough in describing what he found. His attention to detail later saved me thousands of dollars with the determination of coverage by my insurance company since a question on coverage emerged after my initial call. I would not hesitate to hire O'Neill Plumbing again but hopefully at the regular rate next time!

Rep was on time and did work promptly. We have used O'Neill from time to time and have found them to be an excellent choice for plumbing work.

It was raining today and when John noticed that we had carpet the first thing he did was put on booties to protect my floors. He was in and out in about an hour. I actually got a call from the office stating that he finished his last job early and asked if he could come over early and said that would be great! I was so impressed with their work and that I found them through Angie's List that I called John's boss Tim O'Neill that I was incredibly pleased. I also requested that they always send out John to do my work!

The water was draining extremely slow from the kitchen sink (it took all night for it to empty a half-full sink). The technician arrived promptly and, after talking with the home owner, got right down to determining the cause of the back-up. He opened the clean-out access in the basement and, using a snake and water pressure, cleared the drain clear to the curb. In the process, he removed a large amount of sludge that had accumulated over the years and also pulled out a "mystery item" (possibly a feminine product) that may have ultimately been responsible for the clog. There was a good amount of odious material removed from the drain, and the technician was extremely conscientious in ensuring that it was contained during the whole process. He cleaned up everything thoroughly and left the area in good shape when he left.

We had two outside frost free hose bibs, one at the front of the home and the other at the back. While one was very hard to turn on or off, the other would leak profusely when turned on. I found that there was no packing or repair parts available for either bib, even though they had been installed in 2000. Replacement would require blind cutting into walls to find the 50 YO copper tubing and sweating (soldering) on new bibs. That was much more than I felt myself qualified. Thumbing through Angie's List book I picked O'Neill Plumbing Co and I am very glad I did. Ben and John showed up on time- even when they were fighting the morning traffic to get here. Both men moved quickly to scope out the problem. Realizing they would have to cut into some walls to find the connections for both bibs, Ben and John measured several times to make sure they made the proper cuts without undue damage to surrounding material. The result was they were spot on. In both cases they would install an access panel to allow repairs in the future-that's smart! Once they got a view of the connections to the bibs they decided that the feed line should be moved slightly to conform to code and keep the line from freezing. New copper water line was cut to length and mated to the household lines- clenched together using a new design tool-making a water tight connection to the new frost-free bibs. The job required the guys to move a large dryer and some furniture out of the way, plus make some dust after cutting into the wall board; but not to worry, Ben and John left the work site as clean and neat as they found it. All in all they were in and out in less than three hours! These guys were pleasant, knowledgeable and down right enjoyable. When we need a plumber again, it will be O'Neill that we call and I hope we get either Ben or John.

Work was done on time per estimate.

Steve came on time, snaked the sink drain out 75 ft to clear. Very friendly and professional. Happy with the job. Had to wait 4-5 days for an appointment.

They couldn’t find the leak underneath the faucet but they finally tightened something. It wasn’t happening all the time; suddenly there would be a big puddle underneath and then there would be nothing for a month. It was hard to determine what it was. They have replaced the faucet and now it seems to be okay. They were very prompt in coming out and was very nice. I was happy with them. They ordered the faucet that I described over the phone. It was a Grohe faucet which supposedly has a lifetime warranty. They did not put in the same faucet which wasn’t their problem but then they ordered the right one. When they didn’t put in the right faucet it started leaking right away so I called them because I didn’t know what the problem was but when they ordered the right faucet I informed them that I like the other guy but I needed someone else to install it. They had not tightened it right when they had put the other faucet. They were very cooperative and were willing to work with me; I really liked that. Their pricing was fine.

I called O'Neill out for a second opinion on my leaky 5-year-old toilet. They were super nice and easy to work with on the phone, and were sure to ask if it was an emergency or if I have a second toilet to use until they could make it out (I do). About 20 minutes after the plumber arrived, everything was fixed and perfect, back to normal working order, for about $50 in new parts + labor. I was quoted from a competitor company $700 to fix and $1000 to replace. Unbelievable. O'Neill will get all of my plumbing business in the future. They're an honest, ethical company who sees a customer and a neighbor - not dollar signs.

If you want an ethical company this is the one. We thought we needed a new water line to the house which would have cost us thousands of dollars. They dug up the water meter, and found a valve that never should have been there. They took it off, and that fixed the problem saving us thousands of dollars. They could have continued on with the job without telling us. Instead, they were HONEST saving us thousands.

We called O'neill Plumbing after looking through Angie's list thinking we were in for another homeowner expense nightmare . Steve S arrived at exactly 8am he was very polite and joked with me about waking me up.Within 5 minutes Steve S assured us we had plenty of water pressure and in less than an hour removed the faucet from the kitchen sink and did something and then replaced the faucet . For the first time in 5 months the sink was functional Steve S also got the refrigerator water dispenser to work correctly we were pleasantly surprised by the total price and we will call O'neill Plumbing from now on when we need a plumber Thank You Marcy & Guy Valencia

We had the sewer line back-up into our main floor bathroom and we had a plumber scope the line with a camera. It revealed an offset clay pipe as well as numerous tree roots. The camera told us that the offset/break was 7 feet from the house and their depth finder said that the pipe was 2 feet deep. We were given a bid of almost $3,000 from that particular plumber to replace the pipe, which was more than we were comfortable with. We decided that since the pipe wasn't deep, we would dig the trench ourselves. Once we got going we decided that it would make sense to replace as much of the pipe as possible so we dug out another 7 feet (total of 14 feet long and about 3 feet deep). We found some "Y" connections that we didn't understand (as well as the gas line) so we looked online at Angie's List and chose to call both O'Neill Plumbing and one other (neither was the one that provided the original bid). O'Neill not only returned the call the same day, but came by, as well. Cevin is a great guy - very knowledgeable, professional and did not hesitate to answer all of our questions - thoroughly. We got the feeling that there's not much Cevin hasn't seen when it comes to exterior plumbing! We considered replacing the pipe ourselves which would have required renting a pipe cutter, finding the right Fernco couplings, abandoning the "Y"s we found (they had originally been connected to the house's downspout system but a previous owner had already diverted the downspouts another way so that they no longer go into the City sewer system), etc. We decided to ask how much O'Neill would charge to do the work instead, and we were comfortable with the price. We knew we still had to fill the hole back in, but that was our choice and we were fine with it. The guys who did the work were nice and professional and fast. The installed pipe and couplings look good and they did a nice job of creating a packed "bed" of dirt under the pipe to achieve the right slope. They hauled away the cast iron and broke up the clay pipe to use as fill. We couldn't be happier and it's nice to know that we have brand new pipe. We will definitely call on O'Neill Plumbing again and will request Cevin!

The work went quickly and the tech had the ice maker working in no time at all, he was professional and courteous. I thought the price was a little high but admittedly I did not ask for an estimate or check prices of other plumbers. All in all I was happy with the work.

Called on a Friday afternoon got an appointment for the following Monday w/ three different two windows. Steve S came out on time, told him the problems, looked it over knew just what to do. Forty min. later everything taken care of. I will say every one involved with O'Neil plumbing were totally professional! I

Everything went well and the blockage was easily removed.

Gabe came late at night and worked diligently for 3 hours trying to find the blockage. He had no luck but was able to cap off the indoor pipe so sewage was no longer entering the home. The next day John returned with a visual scope to locate the 2 blockages of wipes that the snake was cutting through the previous night without being detected. It was a frustrating situation, but both Gabe and John were professional and attempted to keep the mess at a minimum. We also appreciated that the company acknowledged that although Gabe was there for several hours, he was unable to locate the problem. Because of this they gave us a deal on the total hours billed.

It went perfectly. An initial call was made Sunday afternoon. The phone message was returned Monday morning scheduling a visit for Tues morning. About an hour later, we got a call that someone was available now. The problem was fixed within an hour. Overall outstanding service.

I called on Saturday and was told I'd have to pay time and a half, or I could wait until Monday. We have more than one shower so I chose to wait. Kelly called me on Monday to schedule the appointment. Steve arrived on time and finished the job in under an hour.

John carefully explained his assessment of the issue (a double sink in a downstairs bath) and what he proposed to do (shortened one of the drain pipes, repositioned another, provided new washers, and cleaned out the sink strainers). We were charged for .5 hour labor. He was very thorough, cleaned-up after himself, and was very polite.

After a bump in the road, Tim O'Neill (owner) went above and beyond the call of duty to address our concerns and get the job done. After some phone calls and even a handwritten letter, Tim sent out a great technician, Tyler, who got the job in no time. Tyler was more than gracious and even went back and forth with some options for our faucet and accessory placement. The customer service has been unparalleled, particularly in regard to our initial impression, and I would recommend O'Neill Plumbing to anyone. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thanks to Tim for stepping up and doing right by his customers, and to Tyler for the fantastic workmanship.

They arrived when they said they would and had all the material they needed for the work in their truck. The work was done quickly with a high degree of professionalism.

Gabe was punctual, professional and courteous. He repaired all of the leaks and install the new shut off valve to the kitchen sink. I will always use this company for my plumbing repairs.

I won't use anyone else for any other plumbing needs.
