Ashley Brooks the owner was on premises when this happened. She requested that she reimburse me the cost of the new install by cleaning my residence until the debt was paid.( total cost was $673.00.) I trusted her word and ageed. After only two cleanings she never came back. I have made attempts to contact her by phone, text and mail with no response. She also has not returned my house key. I find this to be a very irresponsible and very unprofessional business practice.
Description of Work: A staff member damaged a new large window using a cloth containing an abrasive. The window was totally scratched and required the install of a new window. Total cost was $673.00.

Sleazy business practices. Booked appointment online on Thurs. 9/26 and received email confirmation same day for Sat. 9/28 5-hour clean starting 9am. Just before noon on Fri. 9/27 received email that multiple requests came in and they were fully booked with nothing available until Monday. So back to Craigslist and lo and behold is a listing posted twenty minutes after my refusal email: "House cleaning appointments available this week! 15$ off call today. (Eastside, King, Snohomish county)". I live on the Eastside (Sammamish), so not in an outlying area. So either they lied to me or the ad was disingenuous. Or maybe they just want 6, 7, or 8 hour jobs. Or perhaps because I did not pay up front via PayPal (no way was I going to do that without a follow-up email or phone confirmation) I was bumped in favor of prepays. In any event, beware.

Hi There [member name removed], First off I would love to thank you for considering Brooks Housekeeping when you were making your selection with booking. I would like to have an opportunity to clear up a few things regarding your review though. You booked your appointment at 4:10pm on Thursday evening and I had already left my office. When I opened my email in the morning on Friday I had received multiple requests for the 9am Sat slot. Now this does happen from time to time and I always respond by approving the appointment which we received first. Unfortunately for you in this case another customer sent in a request before you did. Also the "confirmation" email that you must be talking about is the email that confirms that you are requesting an appointment...Not that you are guaranteed the appointment. This is what our email that is sent following an appointment request looks like: "Thank you for requesting an appointment with Vera (Eastside, Issaquah, Renton, etc.) for Puget Sound (Seattle and Surrounding areas) 2 hours on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 2:00pm PDT - 4:00pm PDT. Brooks Housekeeping has been notified of your request and will be reviewing it shortly. As soon as your appointment request has been reviewed, you will receive an additional email confirming all the details and notifying you if your appointment request has been accepted and confirmed" Now if you notice it says "REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT" The page that is displayed on our website after you had sent in a request says "Thanks for booking! You will be contacted as soon as we review your information to confirm the details of your appointment" Now as soon I saw my emails I contacted you Friday morning via email to inform you that we had multiple bookings. You then called me around 4:30 in the afternoon very upset, angry and rude. I explained the situation to you and did not want any issues to arise out of this so I then told you that I would try to see if any other clients were willing to move. I called multiple clients as well as I contacted my maids who had the day off to ask them if they would be willing to work. Unfortunately it just was not possible for anyone to get there this weekend and I called you back I explained all of this to you. I did everything in which I could to remedy the situation and offered that a maid be there on Monday morning at 9am or we could even do an evening appointment after you get home from work. We have many clients and receive multiple bookings a day so I must follow a policy of booking with the first client who requested the 9am slot. I feel bad that you were left in a situation where you may think that I was playing favorites and choosing another client over you but that is not the case. Now regarding the Craigslist ad Yes I do have someone who posts multiple ads a day and one was posted shortly after you booked your appointment. The appointment you booked was for 5 hours and that is a rather large spot. We have spots to accommodate 2-3 hour long appointments as well as large spots open on Monday and the rest of next week so of course we will always be advertising. There is nothing sly or sleezy about it.... It is just advertising our business. Please keep in mind that when a business relationship is started it is not just the customer selecting the company. The company is also approving the client/appointment. If a company is extensively booked then I believe that should be regarded as a good thing as it shows that many clients trust and enjoy their services. We are always accepting new clients but at certain times you may not be able to book the exact time/day that would be ideal for you and you will find this with ANY company in ANY service field. I wish you the best with finding another maid service to accommodate your needs and hope that they leave your home sparkling!

March 8 was the starting date for weekly house cleaning with Brooks Housekeeping, and they have been my cleaners since then. Previous to that, a friend-of-a-friend had been cleaning for me. I'm ecstatic with Brooks. It's not only that their prices are incredibly reasonable; it's the quality of the work they do for those prices. These cleaners get into every corner - including ceilings and hard to reach places. The house almost looks new when they're done. Add to that the employees and company manager are friendly, cheerful, responsive, and responsible: they do what they say they will do, at the designated time, and for the agreed-upon p
Description of Work: I have a townhouse, with 2 cats, lots of windows and sliding glass doors. Brooks Housecleaning comes in once a week to clean all rooms (walls, floor, windows, all furnituire), dust, vacuum, change linens and make bed, and take on any specific or special requests I may have. They bring their own supplies (though we use my vacuum cleaner).
