Just terminated service with BJ after months of aggravation. On the plus side, the work was fairly well done, as far as that goes. Lawn cut, edging done. The rest of my experience, however, not so great. Original agreement was for $20 per cut, done weekly. Last guy I hired charged $17, so the price seemed fair. As with my home lawn service, I expected the cutting to be done more frequently in spring and early summer, trailing off as grass grows more slowly. Each month this summer I kept getting an $80 monthly bill. Kept asking BJ to send me an itemized receipt, b/c I wanted to figure out what days he was cutting and if grass needed it. He said he doesn't itemize the work dates on his billing. I insisted he provide me with an itemized receipt. Next month (July-August) same bill, $80. No dates itemized. I was concerned - called him again questioning frequency of cutting. BJ: "We are cutting every two weeks, so its $40 per time, like we agreed to." I explained this was never our agreement, and then rather than argue, paid the bill and terminated our contract. Caveat emptor with this character.
Description of Work: Hired BJ to regularly cut and edge the parking strip in front of a small Seattle house.

Hired BJs for yard maintenance to be done twice monthly. At the time, the grass was dead and we discussed cleaning up the rockery until the grass returned. BJs did not provide a schedule for services, but rather showed up at will. Both times they came they were there for 5 minutes or less. I was not home on their first visit, but checked my yard waste bin to see if anything was in it (there was not). On the second visit I was home. I secured my dogs to go outside, but when I went out, BJs was gone. Again there was nothing in the yard waste bin. The 3rd visit was to collect their $90 fee for a month of service. I expressed my concerns and was told "you can always tell when we have done service by checking your yard waste bin." I showed BJs my empty yard waste bin and was offered a $10 discount. I paid them the full $90 and cancelled the service.
Description of Work: I do not feel BJs performed any service. BJs is definitely not a professional yard & lawn care provider.
